"Sister? I thought you were an only child," Kaden whispers to me.

"I am," I reply back, but kept my gaze firmly on Lucien. Brother? He can't be my brother. "What are you talking about?" I ask Lucien.

"I'm sure you are aware who I am but if not, I'm Lucien. You know, King of Vampires. Nice to meet you, Nova. Three years of searching and here you are. Should've known he had you," he said, nodding his head towards Kaden. "Three years, and I'm finally face-to-face with my beloved sister."

"I don't have an older brother, I'm an only child," I reply back and he starts laughing.

"Didn't mummy dearest tell you? Oh of course she didn't, she would do anything to forget I was even born," he muttered, anger consuming him.

"She's dead," I deadpan and his face pales, if that were even possible.

"Dead? When?" He suddenly looked worried. Psh, too late for that.

"Nine years ago."

"Nine years?" He then turns to some old looking people. They were probably guards of some sort. I mean, he is technically royalty. "How come I was not informed of this?" he roared out, making a squeal come out of my mouth. Kaden held onto me tighter.

"B-because the former K-King and Q-Queen told us not to," the man stuttered out, making me feel sorry for him. "I-I'm sorry, your majesty," he quietly said.

Lucien turned back to me. "I guess she never had the time to tell you then, did she? Well, come with me," he said, extending his hand out to me.

"She's not going anywhere with you," Kaden growled out.

"Oh you werewolves, such the growling type aren't you? Calm your mutt side down, will you?" Now that made Kaden angrier and he looked as if he was going to start a fight with Lucien. He was clenching his other fist and his grip on my waist was slightly tight. However, I managed to calm him down. "Kaden, you've got to let her come with me."

"I will do no such thing!"

"If I go, he comes with," I tell Lucien and he narrows his eyes at Kaden.

"Hm, maybe we can rekindle our friendship. How about it, Kaden?" Kaden was still fuming, anyone could see that, but he calmed himself down somehow and took in a deep breath.

"We'll go." He turns to Marco, "You're in charge while I'm gone."

"Yes, Alpha." We walked towards Lucien and he made sure we walked out the front door first. Before I knew it, Kaden was being knocked out and I was screaming. What do you know, they knocked me out too.

"Nova, love, are you okay?" I opened my eyes to see Kaden's worried eyes looking at me.

"I'm fine, are you?"

"I'm perfect. I knew we shouldn't have-"

"Ah, you're both awake! Sorry we had to knock you out, it's just we can't disclose the location of our kingdom. Not yet anyway, Nova. One day you'll live here-"

"No she bloody well will not. She lives with me, in my pack. She's a werewolf, not a scummy vampire like you."

"Scummy? Ouch, Kaden. To think I actually liked you." My eyes widened and I saw Kaden cringe a little. "Dear Nova, you look confused. Didn't you know I was bisexual?" Oh, I thought he was gay, oops.

"I don't know anything about you, how on earth would I know that?" I reply and he laughs, telling me how right I was.

"Open the gates," Lucien said and out of nowhere came a man with a key, unlocking the gate. "Come on you two," he said and we got up, heading out of the sort-of-cell we were in. He led us through what seemed like a palace. "This is a palace, Nova," he spoke and smiled at me. We carried on walking for a while until we reached a beautiful and huge room. It seemed like a meeting room? "Sit," he says, nodding to the seats that surrounded a table. "Drinks? Food?"

"Ooh, what do you have?" I ask when he mentioned food. He grinned at me.

"Anything you want, dear sis."

"Do you have, uh, a cheeseburger? I feel like I haven't had that in ages.. Oh! And a vanilla milkshake?"

"You heard her," Lucien said to another man who accompanied us into the room. "Halt." he said, then looked to Kaden. "Want anything?" Kaden shook his head.

"You're not having any of mine," I tell him. He rolls his eyes but stays put, not asking for anything.

"Alright, go. Pronto," Lucien says to the man. He bowed his head and walked off quickly. "So, mum died then?"

"Yes, protecting me. So, um, how are we..you know. I mean, I've figured we've got the same mum but that's it."

"Ah, sweet Nova. Your dad didn't tell you either? He was a dick anyway." Now that I can agree on.

"Agreed," I muttered.

"So, mum and my dad were friends. You know, they dated too. She was actually his one true love, oddly enough. Your dad was also her mate though. She was basically mated to two people. Anyway, I was conceived. Technically I'm an illegitimate child, but considering mum was the real Queen then people see it differently. Sadly, at that same time mum found your dad. Our dad's asked her to choose, and she couldn't. I was born and my dad took me away and banished mum from the kingdom. So all in all, she wasn't allowed to see me. He found another woman who became my step-mum and also the Queen. Mum had no choice but to be with your dad, but apparently her heart still belonged to my dad. It was sad because you could see how much he still loved her. Eventually he took me to see her, and I met you. You were young, only about eight months old. There's no way you would've remembered me, but I remembered you. You were so tiny, and I loved you. I missed mum too. There was many secret visits, mum and my dad even carried on seeing each other. It was wrong, but they were in love. I don't know where her and your dad stood, but I know my dad and her loved each other a lot. I was fourteen - almost fifteen - when I found out she was pregnant. I was happy, but I also knew that the baby might or might not be my dad's. It wasn't. He knew she would carry on being a mate to your dad, but he was still hurt-"

"Hang on, so she really did have two mates?"

"Yes. You and I never met when you were older. Mum said it was for the best. It was odd, we would always meet on the kingdom and that meant we didn't know her pack, which is why it was so difficult to find you. I know what your dad did to you, what your whole pack did. You know they'll pay, right? For what they did? We may not be close, but you're still my little sister whether you choose to accept it or not. But that's the story. Our mum had two mates, basically, which was weird. The Queen at the time, Goddess she was awful to me. She hated me. I wasn't her own. My father and her never had kids, but she did still love him. I guess that's why she never ruled the kingdom she was too hurt. She's alive now, but I've chained her up. Sounds awful, but the treated me horribly. I'll gladly take your father off your hands, if you want? Kaden? I'm sure you don't want him there."

"I don't, but I'm going to sort him out. Nova is my mate and I will be the one to make them pay. Me. Not you."

"Kaden, I am offering an alliance here. Together we can annihilate her old pack, make them pay. And Nova, you. I want you to live with me, although I know that'll never happen."

"Damn right it won't." Kaden growled, pulling me close to him.

"So, how come you're not a hybrid or anything?" I ask, because usually that happens and he doesn't show any sign of being a werewolf.

"My father is royalty, strong and powerful. His genes, the vampire genes, were obviously very overpowering. I'm completely vampire because of him."

"Oh, that's cool. So, we're half siblings?"

"Yes."

"Can I ask a question?"

"Of course, Nova."

"Um, I don't mean to sound pushy but where my food? I didn't really eat today and I'm starving," I ask, hopefully not sounding pushy at all. But seriously, it's been ages and I'm so very hungry! Kaden and Lucien chuckle before they stop and glare at each other.

"Seriously, I don't know why I sent him. He's such a slow coach. I'll go get your food and drink, I'll be back." Once he leaves, Kaden turns to me.

"He seems nice," I say and he grunts in reply. "Kaden, please be nice. He seems sincere and he's nice, I mean you guys were once friends."

"I know."

"Be nice, please?" He grunts a bit and I frown, "For me? Please, babe?"

"Fine."
