《He Finally Cares》Just My Rotten Luck

I stared at him. I told myself that I would not let myself fall in love but...
I nodded, biting my lip. He smiled and let out a small laugh of relief.
"Are you serious? You mean it!"
I nodded again unable to speak. He smiled a huge smile than ran over to me and swept me up in a big hug. I gasped. This is not something Dally would ever do. Ever. I decided that since its so rare, I would wrap my arms around his neck and enjoy the moment. When I wrapped my arms around him he straightened his legs and lifted me off the ground. I giggled buried my face in his neck.
"Let's go share this amazing news with the rest of the gang. Two-bit will be jealous."
"I laughed at every joke he made, but I never flirted with him. I would think he would know better by now."
Dally chuckled.
"He can't help out hon. You're just that desirable. You do know that right?"
I snorted. Yeah right. I knew that I wasn't pretty. Our at least I thought I knew. I do know better than to speak my mind out loud though. The will just argue till you give in, or they just get sick of hearing "I'm not pretty and you know it." To be honest, it annoyed the neck out of me too.
One time this girl I didn't even know started complaining to me about "oh poor me. I'm so ugly that I can't even get a boyfriend and blah blah blah blah blah." People who do that are just looking for attention and if you ask me they are just needy little freaks. So I was completely honest with this girl I didn't even know. I said right to get face "You're ugly, so what? No one cares about the fact that you're too ugly to get a guy! So just shut you face before I shut it for you!"

Ah, the good ol' says days. Hey call me mean and call me a jerk, but I have a saying; I'm not mean, I'm just truthful. And if the truth hurts... suck it up and deal with it, that's life for ya!
"Rylee? Ryylleeee?! EARTH TO RYLEE!" Two-bit yelled waving his hand in front of my face trying to bring me back from Rylee Town.
"Hmm?"
"Dal says y'all have somethin to tell us?"
"Oh yeah, how do I say this gently..."
Soda suddenly ran over to me, placing a hand on either side of my face and stared into the deepest deep deep depths of my soul.
"You're not pregnant right? That's not the only reason you wanted to ask her out right?" He asked both me and Dally.
"Of course not, Soda! God! What, do you honestly think I would ever do that?" I screamed. Ugh this boy couldn't be any stupider.
"Yeah come on Soda. Do you think that I'm that much of a player?" Dally defended.
We all turned to him with a look that says, really? This boy just might be stupider than Soda. Stupider is a word right? Well anyways, you can tell just by the first look he gives a broad, he's a bit of a player. Dally blushed.
"Okay, okay so I'm a bit of a player, but I would never hurt her dude."
I turned towards him and became jokingly serious.
"Don't you go makin any promises ya hear?"
He looked hurt for a second and sighed. I quickly put a hand on his shoulder and got his attention.
"Hey I was only half serious. Okay? Come on Dal, you ain't gonna let them see you cry are ya?"
He suddenly snap snapped his head up and jokingly glared. That got his attention.

"What do you just say?"
"You heard me."
He chuckled. Soda laughed and walked over to me.
"You better start running..."
But by the time he finished I was already out the door laughing.
I ran and ran until I was out of breath. Laughing doesn't help much either. Dally was still taking l running after me laughing just as much as I was. I looked around and climbed up the first tree in sight. I waited till Dally was right underneath the branch I was on calling my name. Then I pounced.
I learned off the tree and landed on his back laughing.
"I got ya." I whispered in his ear.
He chuckled then quickly but gently flipped me of his back and onto the ground. He pinned my hands above my head and smirked.
"No, I got you."
I smashed a hand full of leaves into his face and he rolled over next to me whining.
"No fair!"
I chuckled.
"Life isn't fair Dal."
"So true. But I still have to get you back..." He mumbled while smashing a bunch of leaves in my face and hair.
I giggled and closed my eyes. It's so peaceful out here. When it's absolutely silent except for a slight breeze rustling the leaves.l sighed as the crisp Autumn air filed my lungs.
When I opened my eyes again it was dark and cold. I was smuggled into a sleeping Dally's side on the hard ground. Oh shi... chiz. We fell asleep. In the park. Where we could get jumped. Chiz, chiz, chiz, chiz, chiz! I struggled out of Dally's brace and tried to shake him awake.
"Dally, Dally! Wake the heck up!"
He started mumbling something than fell back into a deep all sleep. I kept trying to wake him up worried that something could happen any minute. No surprise, a blue mustang pulled up a couple yards away from us. Great!
Just my rotten luck!
