《He Finally Cares》Part of the Gang

I danced and sang until my asthma sent me crashing to the floor. I was panting like a dog, when I heard people clapping. At first I jumped, but then I turned towards my audience, Darry and Dally, and Dally whistled. Why does he have to be so irresistible?
"That was amazing kiddo, but we gotta get goin'," Darry applauded.
I tried to slow my breathing and stand up. As soon as I even sat up though, I got dizzy and fell right back down. I gasped for the air I needed to calm my asthma, and remembered that I have to take slow deep breaths.
"Kid?! You okay, you're red as a tomato?" Dally worried. If he didn't care, I would not be falling in love. But then again, I'd also be having an asthma attack.
If I was just scratched up or hurt, I would have said that I was fine. But I know better than to lie about my asthma.
I shook my head and Dally ran over to my side. He stared at my redding face and his eyes widened with worry.
"Well what's wrong? Ya' choking, do you need something?"
I nodded and coughed out ,"Need... i...inhaler. N...now!"
"I'll get the emergency one from the cabinet!" Darry said running for the bathroom.
"You gonna be okay, Rylee?" Dally asked rubbing my back.
I shrugged and focused on matching my breathing with his. Inhale... exhale. Inhale... exhale. Darry ran into the room carrying an inhaler. He gave me the inhaler and backed away to give me some space. I held it up to my mouth with shaking hands and inhaled a big puff of the medicine.
"You good now?" Darry asked.
"Yes," I breathed. "Thank you."

"You are welcome. Do you know if you'll be able to go to court?" he asked unsure.
I nodded. I will be fine. I think. I tried to stand up and stumbled a little. Dally caught my elbow and I steadied myself. Darry looked at me worriedly and I patted his shoulder in reassurance. He shrugged and grabbed the keys to his car. "Let's go Ry ry. We gotta get their before it's too late."
I trudged over to the car and ignored the nickname he gave me. He revved up the engine and I practically jumped right out of the seatbelt. Darry shook his head and off we went to court.
The drive home was, interesting. Darry asked me all kinds of things he would need to know in order to be a good guardian for me. That's right, Darry was given custody of me after my mom refused to show up at the hearing. Boo ya baby! Why do I feel happy about this. It just further proves that my mom just doesn't care.
"Wait, does this mean I call you dad now?" I asked.
"You can call me anything you want," he replied as we pulled into the drive way.
We entered the house to find the whole gang there.
"Hey, what's up with the Ryls?" Two-bit asked.
"Well guys I have some maybe exciting news!" I joked.
"Today me and Rylee went to court and..." Darry started.
Everyone stopped and stared. Their faces read ,"And What?!!"
"And Soda, Pony, and I have a new sister!"
Everyone erupted in cheers running right to me. Soda picked me right up and swung me around saying, "I've got a kid sister!"
Everyone else pretty much did the same thing except I wasn't their kid sister. Dally just patted me on the back. The enthusiasm he was showing did not match the excitement in his eyes. Stop noticing him!

"Oh come on Dalls. Show some enthusiasm. She's part of the gang now!" Two-bit said still trapping me in a big hug.
Dally just shrugged. Wow, I'm part of the gang now, and he just shrugs. I don't know why but that seemed to make him more interesting to me. I give him a pleading look to except me like the others had. Why do I care so much?!
He sighed and said, "All right fine. Get over here kid."
Happily, I ran over to his open arms. I am hopeless. He hugged me briefly then with one hand on my shoulder he asked, "Who wants to watch a movie?"

With a gaze that was hard to describe, Lark stared at his body in the mirror. Not his body as a human, but his other body. Head of a reptile with rows of sharp teeth, a 180 cm tall body that is full of muscles, covered in scales formed green and black tiger stripes. Clawed hands and feet, with a tail strong enough to crush an adult neck. 'Man. . . can I still be called a human?' In the end, with a deep sigh Lark changed his form back into a human. A moment later, he came out of the room wearing a combat dress, tactical belt with shoulder strap, and jungle boots. While inserting a magazine into an AK-102, Lark muttered. 'Whatever, time to hunt Orcs.' *****
