《He Finally Cares》Dancing Around the Darkness

I woke up to the soft morning sunshine seeping through the curtains. It might've just been the feeling that someone was playing with my feet. I jumped and then sighed as I saw it was just Dally.
"What kind of shoes are these?" He asked bewildered.
Only then did I realize I was still wearing my pointe shoes from ballet.
"Oh, umm... they are just my ballet shoes."
"You dance?," he asked. "Could you show me some moves?"
"I don't think I can. I don't think that I can even walk."
He stared at me for a while then said ,"I'll help you. You can use me to support your weight on. I can even get the radio, I'm sure the guys won't mind."
"Umm... okay. Hey speaking of the guys, where are they?"
"Darry, Soda, and Steve are at work. Pony and Johnnycake are at school. And Two-bit is doing something immature," he answered while plugging in the radio.
He turned towards me and said ,"Okay, stand up."
I pushed myself off the couch and winced.
"What hurts?" Dally demanded as I put on a more composed face.
"It's fine. I'm fine."
He gave me a look and then let it go. Okay, I placed one hand on his shoulder and slowly rolled up to my tippy toes. I reached his eye level and smiled. He chuckled, smiled and looked away blushing.
"You're blushing," I teased.
"No I'm not," he argued childishly.
"Yes you are," I laughed light taping his cheek. Wait! I can not ever be falling in love. And I most definitely can not be touching his cheek.
He stared to laugh then got pulled into a depressed mood. "Come on, Darry gave me money to buy you some clothes," he sighed walking out the door. I sighed and followed as the mood reached me.

We were at a thrift shop, looking at all the clothes, when I wondered what had gotten into Dally's happy mood to make it change so fast. Why do I care? I shook my head and focused on the clothes.
The thrift shop is organized by color, so I was over near the white clothes. (With my dark brown-red hair and chocolate brown eyes, white naturally looks the best on me.) Anyway, while I was looking through the racks, I found the most beautiful dress I'd ever seen! It was white(of course) it was shorter in the front and longer in the back, and had a sheer neckline. I rushed to the dressing room to try it on, and couldn't believe my eyes.
It was perfect! Plus it was only 10 bucks!
Dally knocked on the door. "Rylee you in there?"
"Yes," I squealed. I couldn't contain my excitement.
"Well come on out so I can see," he instructed.
I slowly turned the nob and stepped out to show Dally. When he saw me he gasped and stared at me in amazement.
I smiled and got up on my toes and twirled for him. "Well? What ya think?
"Uh...umm, you... you look amazing," he stuttered.
I smiled and blushed. Wait did I just blush?
He smirked. "Who's blushin' now hon?"
I pushed him teasingly into the rack behind him. "Oh, you should not have done that, hon."
"Why? What are ya gonna do about it?"
He smiled then lunged at me, swinging me around like a rag doll, laughing his butt off. Please don't make me fall in love with you!
"Okay, why don't you pick out a few more things and we'll leave."
I ended up with 3 pairs of jeans, 2 t-shirts and one crop top.
When we got back to the Curtis's house, I found a pair of scissors and cut one pair of my jeans into short shorts. I put those on and the loose black crop top, and danced along to every song on the radio.

A hero is transported from the real world into a parallel world similar to the video game he's been obsessed with for the past few weeks.
