《The Kidnapped Orphan》A Sneaky Plan.

Kayleigh, James and I were sat at the back of the class room. The teacher was on about the school rules as some people didn't follow them. This was boring.
"I had a dream last night. A dream about 3 girls. The 3 girls were sat in a circle, talking about their future. It looked like me, you and this other girl. Anyway, a man came and handed the girl that looked like me a sweet. She took it, then she went with the man. He kidnapped her!" I explained to Kayleigh.
"You're just recovering from getting kidnapped twice. It's nothing." James rubs my arm.
"But, it couldn't be me or Kay, they were little. Like 8. We're 12. We were kidnapped at 12, not 8." I mention, facepalming and sighing.
"I guess if you ever had children, you keep them safe." James speaks.
I shot my eyes up at him. Maybe he was right. Maybe if I had children, I'd keep them safe. They could be kidnapped like me. Maybe I saw the future in my dreams, maybe the children were mine and Kayleigh's children.
"Yeah.." I mumble, waiting for the bell.
"Ew! I'm not having babies!" Kayleigh intrupts.
"Don't say ew. You and I both know it's going to happen." James chuckles.
"Shut up.' I slyly shout as the bell goes off.
"Daisy." James mumbles. "Don't be so mean."
I turn around.
"I'm not being mean! I'm just telling you to be quiet!" I don't know what had gotten into me. Suddenly, I was so mean and harsh.
"I'm sorry." I whisper, looking up.
There was no response from him so I walked out to the yard. It was cold, quiet, frosty. No one was outside apart from me. I sat underneath the willow branch and looked at everyone that eventually came running out with basketballs, skipping ropes, netballs..
"It's so cold." I whispered to myself, pulling down my jumper sleeves. Every time I breathed with my mouth open, I could see the mist fly out. It was so foggy. Where was James and Kayleigh though? I look around.

"I can't believe that hot teacher, Mr. Dale got fired. Why?" I hear a group of girls speak as they walk past me. If only they knew what he was really like. A pedophile, child abuser, kidnapper. I shiver at the thought of him and carry on searching around for Kay and James.
My eye catches them two. They're next to a wall. Kayleigh is looking around the yard as if she's nervous. James looks like he's complaining at her. I want to walk over. I stand up, but suddenly stop walking..
"No." I whisper to myself. Heart sinking slowly.
James takes hold of Kayleigh's hand. He pulls her into him, whispering into her ear. She's giggling. I learnt how to lip read ages ago. So I could possibly pick up what he was saying.
'Be mine.' Was I reading this wrong or was he saying this?
'Not here.' I can read what Kay is saying.
She takes hold of his hand as they go into our secret den inside. I run quietly to the den and peek through the secret hole I made. When we built this, I made a tiny hole so I could see when someone was coming. This hole was handy.
"I really like you." James whispered in Kayleigh's ear.
"And I really like you too." Kayleigh speaks, placing a kiss to his cheek.
Tears ran down my face as I slowly walked away. I know James and I weren't together, but we were really close. We even shared a kiss. But he likes Kayleigh?! Anger started to build up in me as I ran to the girls bathrooms. Break was over, but I didn't go to lesson. Instead, I stayed in a cubicle all lesson, crying my eyes out.
It was the end of the day and everyone was running out the school. I walked slowly. James started to approach me.
"Daisy!" He shouts, running towards me.
"Yes." I avoid eye contact with him.
"Can I walk home with you?" I give him a disgusted look.
"Since when was an orphanage a home?" I said, walking faster away from him.

"Sorry, I meant Orphanage.."
"Um, I can walk myself thanks." I spoke, walking away from him.
"Oh come on! I live in the orphanage too!" He shouts. The far distance between us, making his voice an echo to me.
I ignore him and walk by myself. I didn't want to walk with him. Maybe he should just walk with Kayleigh instead. They probably asked each other out anyway. I couldn't be anymore angry with him unless he was using Kayleigh, which I doubt he wasn't.
I got to the 'house' and slammed the door in James' face. He wasn't staying in my room tonight. He could sleep somewhere else.
I threw his stuff out of my room and his mattress. I was so angry. I was angry with Kayleigh too. I think this was jealousy, even though I had never experienced it before because I never cared. I waited till he came.
"Daisy! What are you doing?!" He shouted, picking up his clothing.
"Go to Kayleigh!" I lost my control. I wasn't meant to let him know I knew.
"What? Why!" He asked, grabbing hold of me.
"You obviously love her!"
He forcefully pushes me into the wall.
"I don't." He sternly responded.
He was hurting me. The way he held me in place. His hands on the top of my arms.
"Let go of me." I said, struggling to get out of his hold.
"The only person I love is you! I don't like Kayleigh!" He breaths. "There, I said it! I love you!"
"Then why did you say you liked her in our den!" I scream.
"I'll tell you later!" He drops me on the floor and storms downstairs.
I whimper in pain as I try to get up. I can't believe he left me in this state. I managed to get up and move downstairs to the dinner table where everyone was.
"Let's get you cleaned up." My social worker runs towards me and takes me to the bathroom.
Damn. I didn't know she was here.
"What happened?" She asked, picking up a sponge and soaking it with warm water.
"I-I don't know." I said in confusion.
"You're bleeding." She dabs the sponge on the area where it was bleeding.
"Oh." I mumble.
I hear the door open as James rushes in.
"What's happened!" He tried cleaning me up too.
"You dropped me on the floor really hard. You pressed me against the wall forcefully." I whisper so the woman can't hear.
"I know I'm sorry. I didn't know I hurt you though." He pulls me into a hug.
"So why did you tell Kayleigh you liked her?" I lose eye contact with his.
"I don't trust her, Daisy. I had to find out what she was doing."
"How come you don't trust her?" I fiddle with my fingers.
"I just don't. I have a feeling she's pretending to be your friend.."
I look up, widening my eyes.
James and I walk over to Kayleigh who's on the phone.
"Let's go. She's on the phone. We'll come back in a bit." I said, pulling James with me, but he stops.
"No. I want to hear what she's saying. She has that look in her eyes."
We sneak over to where Kayleigh is standing and listen to her conversation.
"I know dad. I need you to kidnap her again. Kill her this time." Is all Kayleigh says before she hangs up and puts her phone in her pocket.
I presumed she was talking about me.

Hello!
I'm at my stepdads friends house and managed to get their WIFI to write this! If I was at home today, it would of probably been up earlier.
I was thinking of updating a story once, each week. It then gives me time to do important stuff such as homework. But I wouldn't want you waiting. I'll see how it goes.
Inbox me if you think I should update a certain time/day.
Right now I'm just updating everyday or whenever I can and then my chapters get rushed.
Anyway, BYE!

Galactic Economics
Humanity enters the galaxy and makes First Contact, only to begin to realize that not everything is at it seems. It appears that the galactic alien community has forgotten to invent some rather important economic concepts that human civilization has taken for granted. This is a look at a hypothetical galactic scale barter economy, how that would work, or how as one of our main characters Sarah realizes... it doesn't. And as the galaxy falls apart at the seams, it's up to the best and brightest in humanity to put things back together. Story contains a lot about markets, logistics, development, and the best and worst of human history. Not so much Space Marines nuking aliens. If you enjoyed the trade negotiations and Senate politics in the Star Wars prequels, and wished that there was an entire standalone story consisting solely of those parts, this might be for you! Galactic Economics is also posted on reddit here.
