"Peizhi, do you want to give this a try?" Lin Ning waited for his response; she had waited for this day to come so that it would help him.

Cao Peizhi glanced at the wooden made limb with a forearm and hand attacked that all looked too similar and well made. "If it was all planned by you, then let us go ahead and try this out." Cao Peizhi allowed them to put the prosthetic limb onto his that did not have any. Lin Ning did not know where to put it, but with the help of Cao Peizhi, who moved his limb for her to be able to put it on. Attaching all of the compartments onto his left limb, everyone watched the couple do what they found amusing since they had never seen their master or lady this happy before.

"This truly is a rare sight." Qin Yun could not help but say out loud.

"Shhh!" The other three figures shushed him not to say a word since they wanted to know what happened next before they were all tossed outside of the tent.

Lin Ning had finished up, hoping that it was comfortable for him. "How is it?" She asked, facing to look up to him.

"It's not bad. A little uncomfortable, but it seems to suit me well." Cao Peizhi had turned the prosthetic limb to observe it from top to bottom. 'All of this is very similar to a real arm. It does not even look like I lost a limb. I can't move it like a real one.' He felt that this was something very precious that Lin Ning had planned for him. "How am I supposed to use the fingers?" Thinking that he would be able to use the fingers at this moment.

"It is still in the early stage. I do not know if you will be able to use it like your real one, but I will try my best to make a better one in the future for you to use it freely." Lin Ning held his prosthetic hand up into her hand. 'It would be good if I could find the stuff to make a sensory device that would follow his nerves to use his fingers.' This was when she wished that she could have all the modern materials.

Cao Peizhi did not understand what she was talking about, but he took a look once more at his newly found limb—seeing that he could move just the forearm, but not the hand portion of the limb.

"No one can have any limb like this but you. When I find the right stuff, you will be able to use these fingers. You are an important person to me." Lin Ning took hold of his other hand, laying it on her cheek to feel her warmth. 'This is all like a dream.' She thought.

'I can't push her about this case. If she doesn't want to reveal it, then so be it.' Cao Peizhi started to rub his thumb on her cheek, seeing how a woman like Lin Ning could go this far to help him gain back a limb and save his life. 'There is nothing that I can ever repay her with but my unconditional affection for her.'

"Just let me know if it still feels uncomfortable. I'll try and see if I can work on it a little more." Lin Ning told him.

"En." Cao Peizhi then started to think and compared his two limbs. "How did you find the time to measure my limb?" Cao Peizhi decided to ask, seeing how it was way too accurate.

'Crap... it was all luck that I managed to get the right measurement. I only compared it to my limb and added a little more measurement to it since he always tends to hold my hand.' Lin Ning started to try and sneak away when Cao Peizhi took hold of her hand with his right hand.

"You need to explain this to me. I want a clear explanation." Cao Peizhi then hugged her close with locking her into his arms, using his prosthetic limb to his advantage. "I rather like this limb now. I can actually lock you in my arms."

"This is not what it is supposed to be for!!!!" Lin Ning started to regret while struggling to get out of his hold.

"Hehehe."

The other four figures that saw the entire thing were giggling in the background, which Cao Peizhi gave them a look to get out—understanding what he meant, all four of them hurried out of the tent while dragging the wolf who stood there unfazed. "I think that it is very good. It may even be helpful in the future for the two of us when it comes to being alone time." Cao Peizhi whispered into her ear.

Lin Ning gasped and felt her face turning warmer, "Idiot!!! Don't say that!!!" Feeling a sudden warm kiss on her forehead, she wanted to dig a hole for herself to hide in.

"Heh, if I knew that teasing you this much was so fun, then I would have done so when we first met." Wishing that he was more confident back then.

"I would have seen you as a bully." Lin Ning grumbled and mumbled her words.

"I'm happy that you both are very close and all, but we need to start talking about those Ma people and the empress." Yi Changpu entered the tent; he noticed Cao Peizhi's left limb. "I will talk about that limb later with you privately, but we need to start talking about those Ma people who were sent by the empress who could be threatening them."

Cao Peizhi was just about to send Lin Ning elsewhere when she spoke up. "May I listen in as well?" Lin Ning wanted to help them since her family was nearly killed, and she may be the only one who could help them since she knew the novel and what possible outcomes could happen in the future.

Yi Changpu did not know what Lin Ning could do for them, but he felt as though he could trust her since his best friend could and his lover could as well. He did not feel the need to be suspicious towards her any longer. "Very well. Just be sure not to faint this time." Reminding her of the time, she suddenly fainted due to lack of sleep.

Lin Ning felt embarrassed that she fainted in front of everyone; she could only bear the memory and nodded. Following Cao Peizhi, she had removed the prosthetic arm before they left the tent. Entering into a vast tent, a few men there were Yi Changpu's men with Xu Meili there to listen in on the conversation that went on. "Stay with Xu Meili." Cao Peizhi did not want Lin Ning to be out in the open, so he had her stay with Xu Meili, who was on the side and closer to the entrance where she could leave sooner if she did not want to listen any further.
