"Did you know that the Hendersons moved out of the neighborhood?" Mikaella asked over date night.

They had forgotten about date night the minute their daughter was born. Having a baby with tantrums didn't actually fit date night into the schedule. Marc thought it wise that with everything going on, they should bring back date night and like a woman in love with her husband, she had agreed. She didn't want their romance to fizzle out like it did among couples.

She didn't want their marriage to be where the husband is jealous over how much time the wife is spending with the kids. Or where the husband doesn't like the wife because she's not as fun as she used to be or as skinny as she used to be. Marc was a good husband, who made sure she felt like the most precious thing in the world.

During pregnancy, she had added a couple of pounds and Marc was always there telling her she looked beautiful when in all honesty she was fat and haggard looking.

"I didn't know they moved. Bill never mentioned anything over barbeque"

"Barbecue? You held a barbeque at our place?"

Marc took the glass of sparkling water chugging down his throat.

"It was a small gathering, babe. What? Don't give me that look",he chuckled placing his hand on top of hers on the table,"relax. It was just us guys. Greg and a couple of my buddies from work"

The last time they held a barbeque, Mrs Goldstein wouldn't stop flirting with Marc and ofcourse he was oblivious to it not until Rue told him.

"You sure Mrs Goldstein wasn't there? The woman has a husband but she is clearly obsessed with you",Rue huffed withdrawing her hand from Marc's and cutting into her medium rare steak.

"I didn't think she was flirting back then because I had my eyes on my wife the whole time",Marc complimented and she tried hiding her blush.

"Marc, any woman who says 'you have quite the muscles' is definitely interested in you. She clung to your arm like a leech and you still didn't see it"

"I didn't notice because it didn't matter what she said...or did. I would never look at another woman when I have you. Come on, today is supposed to be fun. Just you and me, no one else, not the Hendersons and certainly not Mrs Goldstein",he assured smiling at her and no matter how many times she had seen that smile, everytime he did that, it was like she was falling more and more in love with him.

Was that even possible? To fall in love with someone even more? To feel so connected to someone as if you both shared a rib or whatever people said when they found their soulmates?

"Fine, I'm sorry. I-I have to tell you something",Rue started. He deserved to know atleast, that she was getting better. That there was hope of her recovering.

"What? Are you-Rue are you pregnant?"

Marcus asked and Rue pushed her head back in surprise. I mean sure they had made love yesterday and maybe the day before and the day before that but no- she was not pregnant. The thought of being pregnant again didn't disturb her, Kylie was already growing up and now that she thought about it, another kid didn't sound that bad.

"No... no"

"Then what is it?"

She hesitated before speaking,

"My memories. Back in New York, I-I felt like some parts of my memory were trying to communicate. Not that I remembered anyone. But words have to count right? Marc, I feel like there's a chance my memories might come back despite what Doctor Rory said", she squealed trying to read his expression.

Was the food bad or did he not like the news?

"T-that's great Hun"

"You don't seem happy about it, Marc"

"I'm happy. I'm happy that we can put all this behind us but I'm worried that you are pushing yourself too hard to remember. Look I d-don't want to lose you"

"You'll not be losing, Marc. Far from it, my memories will make me feel complete as a person and as a wife"

"You are already complete for me, Rue. I'm yours from now till forever, baby"

As for date night that was that, after a night full of compliments a couple of good laughs, they retired home with Marcus having something funky in mind. Kylie was at her grandparents' not far away from where they lived. They had the whole house empty to themselves and with that came a long night of making love from the living room, to the bathroom and finally in the bedroom.

"I love you. I love you so much", Marc whispered kissing her right shoulder.

"And I love you, Mr Pierce"

"So Mrs Pierce, wanna make a baby?" He teased and she slapped his chest lightly,

"Marc, I think I'm tired for another round"

"Then I'll do all the action and you...all the moaning?" Marcus suggested and she laughed hard.

"Ooh-naughty, naughty"

Ding dong.

The doorbell rang while Rue took her mug of coffee from the kitchen to the living room. Had Marcus forgotten something? She was so sure he would forget something after he delayed in bed wanting to spend the rest of the day cuddling.

Rue walked to the door opening it and being greeted by a jolly redhead.

"Elizabeth"

"Ruby, I'm so sorry for waking you up this early. Can I come in?"

"Sure...sure. Make yourself feel at home"

Rue welcomed her in, placing her coffee mug on the living room table.

"Coffee?"

"Sure", Elizabeth answered nervously.

She went back to the kitchen being forced to brew another coffee for her unexpected visitor. Not that she didn't like visitors, she simply hated unexpected visitors who didn't leave as much as a call that they were stopping by.

Looking at her outfit, she realized she looked terrible with a large robe, her hair out of place bag eyes probably sagging on her face, what would Elizabeth think? Whereas Elizabeth was already dressed with a purse in tow.

Would she think that Ruby was a lazy bone, waking up at eleven a.m?

While she was getting the coffee beans from the top shelf, she heard something break; more like glass and she ran to the living room.

"I'm so sorry. I was just looking around when I bumped into the table knocking the mug to the floor. I got rid of the broken pieces, I'm not so sure I can get rid of the stain on your carpet though. I'm really sorry, Ruby", Elizabeth rumbled and Rue couldn't help but feel weird about the whole thing.

It was an accident, but why did she seem so nervous?

"It's alright, how's your foot?"

"Huh?"

"Your foot? You knocked it against the table right?"

"It's fine. But I-i'm not fine. I'm so sorry, I must look like a lunatic", Elizabeth feigned sighing and seating on the couch.

Rue felt the need to console her, I mean she did look a bit off. So young, pretty and yet so conflicted.

"I-I don't know what to do, we moved here hoping to escape our parents but now I feel as if Finn is having second thoughts about us eloping. He said he loved me but what if he's too scared to start a life with me all because of my parents! D-did your parents object your marriage with Marcus too?", Elizabeth asked with tears brimming her eyes.

Rue thought on what to say, Elizabeth had confided in her, came to her for advice so she might as well been honest and assured the girl that whatever she was thinking was all in her head.

"I wouldn't know, actually. I-I had accident a while back and as a result I lost my memories. But I want to assure you that if Finn was bold enough to elope and start a life with you here, then trust that he loves you and he would go against the whole world just to be with you",Ruby assured parting her back.

"Thanks. I'm new here and you are the only friend I have. I'm sorry for loading all that on you. I just needed someone to talk to"

Ruby understood her very well. She felt the same after her accident, she needed a confidant, someone to ease her nerves before she felt like going crazy. And indeed she had found a confidant in Carmen.

"I get it. My doors are always open if you want to talk"

And just like how she came in, she left leaving Ruby grateful that atleast she was in a good place with Marcus, she didn't want to have doubts about her husband...ever.. not like how Elizabeth and Finn's marriage was. She stood up from her couch running her slim fingers through her hair.

Wait, if the mug dropped on the floor and broke, then where exactly had she thrown the broken pieces? Did she know that the trash bag was in the kitchen? Rue wondered dismissing the thought as merely overthinking things.

It was not like she would carry the broken mug in her purse or anything.
