《A beautiful mistake》15

What can we conclude from the video? Trouble in paradise?
She glared at Chanel from Channel 5 news. This woman was impossible. Mikaella knew she was jealous of her right from highschool. Now getting some juicy scoop such as Roman hitting Phil and leaving him for dead was what Chanel wanted to ruin her reputation.
And by the looks of it, Chanel was already winning. Her mind drifted to Seth hoping in God's name that he hadn't read what people spewed in the internet. Of course people judged her. Some saying that Roman had a right to behave how he did since she was having an affair with Phil. Some pitying the millionaire aka Roman Cervantes for witnessing his wife in a restaurant holding hands with a man.
She had had just about enough. She did nothing wrong on the contrary Roman did everything. He was the devil in all this not her. She was not the villain and she knew it.
Her lips quivered slightly as she reached for the bruises on her arm with a light cloth. Her eyes were still downcast before he came in with a little red box. His shadow towered before her and although she hated to admit it, her heart pounded like an old locomotive engine. She felt stupid for thinking about him in such a way.
He didn't utter a single word on the contrary he opened the kit took out some bandages, cotton wool and a mild antiseptic.
"What are you doing? Don't even think of touching me!" She jolted from the bad as he sighed and heaved turning around to face her.
"Ooh so a random man can touch you but not your husband?" He scowled and her left eye twitched as she nodded unbelievably.
He was one to talk.

"Excuse me? You... You scoundrel!"she spat then wiped the tear that fell from her eye so fast before continuing "you...you are the one letting other women touch you, Roman! You are the one cheating on me. You once said you believed in the power of marriage. What sort of marriage, is this? An open marriage huh?"
Her eyes almost popped out of her sockets when he stood there casually laughing like what she had just said meant nothing. She bit her bottom lip praying to God to control her fuming anger.
"Who told you that? Who filled your head with such ideas?" He laughed and that angered her the more.
"Don't deny it. Don't you dare deny it. Your secretary...you were with a woman and supposedly you didn't want to be bothered"she cried fighting the urge to throw something in his direction. Why did this hurt her so?
"The only woman I was with was my sister"
"What sister? You never mentioned you had a sister." Her voice a tad low. A surge of relief running through her heart. He was not cheating on her?
"Yes my sister Kimberly Cervantes."
"Ooh" she heaved " but just so you know, Phil was just taking me to lunch. Nothing happened, what they are saying isn't true. I've never slept with him" she pushed her hair back rubbing her forehead stressfully.
"Relax I believe you. I know I'm the only man you have ever slept with" he smirked and her cheeks turned red.
"But...why did you hit him Roman?"
"Because that idiot was hitting on you. Mikaella he would have kissed you, had I not arrive"
He used this opportunity to get hold of her arm gently pulling her to the bed and making her sit on it. Mick had no chance to speak, whenever he was around she felt sluggish and motionless like porridge in a bowl. The absence of a man in her life and now getting the chance to have one actually boggled her mind. Was she naïve to fall in love just yet? Her heart made her so convinced that loving Roman was the best choice after all they would be married till death do them part right? But her brain ooh her brain that was more logical in such matters of the heart warned her against falling in love with the man soothingly touching her hand like a fragile glass.

Time that's what she needed. Time to access Roman like Belle did with the Beast though her life was no fairytale and she knew it.
"There it's done. Look" he started shyly" I never hurt a woman and what I did today... wasn't exactly me. I would like to have dinner with you as a way of apologising" he knelt down getting rid of the cotton wools with stains of blood. He didn't realise it but Mick did. His hand was on her left thigh and his other hand was on her right arm.
"Mikaella are you listening?" Even the way her name bounced on his tongue made her quiver with delight.
"I'm trying but I can't. I've gotta admit I'm a bit distracted by something" she smiled shyly her eyes dropping on her thigh and so did his.
"So that's a yes?"
************
"Aww" her eyes rolled poking his chest. Infront of her was a little man, their little man dressed in a black tux with a folded napkin on his left hand.
"And who are you supposed to be, Seth?" She smiled reaching down and pinching his cheeks.
"Dad hired me. I'm your tiny butler for the night" he jumped and Mikaella looked back at the man standing behind her.
"Surprise?" He grinned. His hand intertwined with hers ushering Mick to the candle light dinner he had prepared. A beautiful table lay in the middle of the huge room surrounded with artistic banners and red petals were smeared on the ground.
Roman was quick to pull her chair out as she sat admiring the ostentatious view.
"Does this mean that I'm forgiven?"
"Definitely" she smiled.
For the next hour or so they talked about their likes, dislikes and we'll about their families. Seth joined now and then telling them of how big his grandmother's house was or how beautiful Uncle Gus' girlfriend was.
At last they danced but Mikaella wasn't that much of a dancer. Everytime she missed a step, Roman got the consequence of it by getting stepped on his feet.
"Oh my God, I hurt you again, didn't I?" She gasped.
"Mikaella the only way you'd hurt me is if you left me, which I know now you won't" he smiled his grip on her waist tightening as the music now got louder and passionate.

Only Villains Do That
While waiting on an Akihabara train platform one day, ordinary high schooler Yoshi Shinonome was suddenly plucked from his normal life in Japan and whisked away by a beautiful goddess to Ephemera, a world of magic and adventure, to serve as her Hero and drive back the evil Dark Lord. This is not his story. Standing nearby at the moment Yoshi was isekai'd was a man named Seiji - a rude, cranky, misanthropic musician who was not at all pleased to find himself also snatched up and transported to Ephemera by the goddess's wicked sister, Virya. According to this self-proclaimed Goddess of Evil, the whole fantasy adventure thing was a game she and her sister played to stave off the boredom of immortality, and since the good goddess, Sanora, had picked her Hero...well, Virya needed a Dark Lord. A grown man with his own career and ambitions, Seiji has no interest in playing. Unfortunately for him, the call to adventure was not a request. Now, he must conquer Ephemera and defeat the Hero...or Virya promises to make him beg for the release of death before granting it. Playing along for his own survival, Seiji nonetheless is under no illusions who his true enemy is, and it's not the naive young would-be Hero from his own world. Placed in an impossible position, Seiji must make enough progress toward world domination to keep his sadistic patron goddess off his back, but not so much that he can't strike an accord with the forces of Good and convince the Hero Yoshi that it's the goddesses who are their mutual enemy. Forced to embrace Evil without being too evil, Seiji walks the razor's edge, building his forces and biding his time till he can get revenge on the goddesses and be free of them, his only certainty that he will not be getting out of this with his hands clean. A Dark Lord's gotta do what a Dark Lord's gotta do. Updates Tuesday and Friday. Most Patreon tiers get to read one chapter in advance of the public release!
