《Wildfire (a Stiles Stilinski fanfic)》What the hell was that?

Waking up to the news saying that an employee at a video store got their throat slashed by a wild animal last night is not an enjoyable experience. Learning that one of your best friends and her boyfriend were at that same video store during the throat slashing is even less enjoyable.
On September twenty-first I woke up to seventeen text messages from one Stiles Stilinski and they were all about a murder.
Stiles: Did you hear what happened?
Did you know Lydia was there?
Also Jackson was with her.
He almost got attached too.
I'm not sure if that would be a bad thing.
Sorry that was mean.
I was with my dad when he got the cow.
Call*
Why would autocorrect turn call into cow.
Oh the unsolved mysteries of technology.
They're saying it was an animal attack though.
What do you think?
Seph?
Persephone?
Oh wait you're probably asleep.
I'm going to stop texting now.
Bye.
After I was done reading I burst out laughing. He is such a dork. Anyway, I jump in the shower before school. I put on some jeans, an army green blouse, a tan jacket, and my combat boots. To finish the outfit off I add a gold pendant and some diamond earrings.
When I get to school, I go strait to my locker. Stiles immediately ambushes me, grabbing my hand and turning me towards him. "So did you hear?" he asks me, by way of greeting. "Not even a hello, huh Stilinski?" I tease. "Sorry, hey," he says. "But did you hear?" "Yeah I heard." "So what do you think?" he asks expectantly. "I think you should be a little less excited about a brutal murder, that what I think," I say in a teasing tone. "Seph there is a psycho alpha werewolf out there killing people. I'm not excited I'm concerned," he says. "So you think it was the alpha," it's more of a statement that a question. "Yeah I do," he says back. "That thing I crazy. A killer. The amount of bloodlust it has is concerning at best. It bit Scott, it has killed at least two people, now it's freaking stalking Scott and-" "Stiles! Calm down," I say. "Common we have to go to English."

I went over to Stiles' house after school. We had gone by Lydia's to see if she was okay and ended up seeing something major. She had accidentally taken a video of what actually happened at the video store.
"Hey, it's me again," Stiles was leaving yet another voicemail for Scott. "Look we found something and I don't know what to do, okay? So if you could turn your phone on, right now that'd be great or else, I'll kill you. Understand me? I'm gonna kill you. And I'm too upset right now to come up with a witty description about how I'm gonna kill you but I'm just gonna do it okay? Ugh, bye." Throwing his phone on his bed he turns around with a sigh and slumps into his chair. "Ugh God," he says, putting his head on his desk. It doesn't stay there for long though because a second later there's a knock on the door. He jumps up, startled. "Please tell me I'm gonna- oh... hello," his dad says. The hello is directed towards me. "Hello Mrs. Stilinski, I'm Persephone Novak. Nice to meet you," I say smoothly. "Nice to uh, meet you as well," he says, turning back to Stiles. "Please tell me I'm going to hear good news at this parent teacher conference thing tonight." Stiles stares at him dumbfounded then says "That depends on how you define good news." His dad gives him a look. "I defined it as you getting straight A's with no behavioral issues." Stiles winces. "You might want to rethink the definition..." His dad walks away saying over his shoulder "Enough said."
Styles looks at his phone and hit play on the video again. "What are we going to do," he asks me. "I don't know what we can do other than wait for Scott," I say back. He sighs, muttering "Come on Scott where the hell are you?"

An hour and a half later, I was still in Stiles' room. He had been googling anything and everything about werewolves, alphas, betas, the whole shebang. It was getting late and I wanted to be home before dark. "Stiles, I gotta go. I want to be home before nightfall," I say. Before he can respond I turn him around and give him a peck on the cheek. "Bye Stilinski," I say as I start to walk away. "B- Bye," he stuttered after me.
