"Billy what are you doing here?" I whispered fiercely.

"I came to see you."

"And may I ask how you know where I live?"

He bit his lip. "I do my research," his eyes widened.

"You can't be here. My parents are home."

"They won't hear a thing."

"They have supersonic hearing, Billy. They will hear you," I said slowly.

He began walking around my room. He was doing it again. That thing where he was judging, watching, making up his mind. Only this time, he was doing it to me. He made sure to see everything. In particular, he looked at all my posters, staring mostly at my A Nightmare On Elm Street one. "You have good taste."

I didn't reply.

He looked over and smiled at me.

"Billy, why are you even here?"

"I told you. I wanted to see you. Why don't we watch a movie or something?"

"I'm not in the mood tonight."

"Let me guess. It's Randy?"

He suddenly had my attention. "How did you know?"

"I know a lot more than you think I do."

He was right. He was an observer. He saw everything, even the things you didn't want him to see.

"You can't tell him, Ash. You know this, right?"

"He won't even talk to me, so it's not like I can tell him anything anyway. He's my best friend, Billy. I've never lied to him before."

He bit his lip and nodded his head, breathing heavily. "You do understand what you're a part of, don't you? I killed Stu. You were there. You were involved. You know about Sidney's mother. You know more than you should. If anyone was to find out, not only would I go down, but also so would you. Do you want to drag Randy into this too?"

Billy was right. In not telling Randy, I was protecting him too. He'd understand that. Well, at least I hope he would. "Can I at least tell him about you and i?"

"I need to keep up this relationship with Sidney, so you can't go telling your best friend that you and I have a thing."

"He doesn't even like Sidney, he won't care about it Billy," I moved closer to him. "I can't lie to him anymore. We don't have to tell him about anything else, I'll just tell him I have a thing for you. It'll clear up so much." I was very close to him now. I touched my lips to his and kissed him softly. "Please?"

"Fine, but nothing else and you tell that little dork of yours that he needs to keep it to himself," he said quickly.

There it was, my answer. It looked like at this stage, I was able to keep both Billy and Randy in my life without things getting too complicated. I was a little shocked that Billy let me compromise with him. He seemed more like the dominant type. It was clear that's how his relationship with Stu was. Maybe I was changing some of him for the good.

The next day at school, I waited for Randy at my locker. I didn't expect him to turn up, but I still waited. When he didn't arrive, I looked around the halls for him before class. I figured it was time to talk and I could tell him about the supposed thing I have for Billy Loomis. It's technically not a lie, but I'm just not telling him the full story.

I saw him from a distance. His short brown hair sticking up and he had his Halloween shirt on. That's my geek.

"Randy!"

He saw that I called him and he quickly turned the other way pretending he didn't hear me.

"I know you can hear me, Randy."

"I don't hear anything," he continued to walk.

"Randall Meeks, get here now!" I said loudly. A few people turned in the hallways and looked. They then realized we were nobodies and went back to whatever they were doing.

Randy turned and faced me. "I am still not talking to you," he said with wide eyes.

"I want to talk, Randy."

"Oh, so now you're ready to tell me the truth?"

"Yes, I figure if I tell you, you could probably help me anyway."

"Carry on," he said acting uninterested.

"It's Billy."

"Billy Loomis?" he screwed up his nose. "Did he hurt you? Is that why you have marks all over your neck?" he got louder.

"No, it's not like that at all," my voice lowered. "I kind of have a thing for him and he might be returning the gesture a little."

"YOU? HE? YOU WHAT?" he got really loud.

"Randy!" I said angrily, trying to get him to lower his tone.

"HE GAVE YOU THE LOVE BITES? I suddenly feel sick."

"Do you see why I didn't want to tell you?" I waved my arms above my head.

"But he is so not your type." I think he meant to say 'he is so not me'.

"I know, it's hard to believe, but things have just happened lately. I don't understand it and I don't expect you to either."

"Fair enough." It was clear that Randy was having a difficult time understanding it, but it was only fair that I told him so he wasn't in the dark entirely. I promised Billy I wouldn't go into full details. And Randy didn't know the Billy that I knew, so I understood why he thought it was so weird for me to be interested in him. Randy and I spent our entire lives despising those from the same species as Billy Loomis. Only, the real Billy was nothing of that species.

"I have one question, Ashley. You do realize he is in a relationship with Sidney?"

"That's why I had to keep it a secret and so do you."

"But you're the other woman. What has gotten into you?"

I shrugged my shoulders at him. I knew what had gotten into me, but I couldn't exactly tell that to Randy.

Before Randy and I could continue talking, Tatum burst into the hallway in tears. For some reason, she came up to me.

"Tatum, what is going on?" I asked in shock.

"It's Stu," she said trying to breathe in hysterics.

I followed her down the hall, into a classroom. A bunch of students were huddled around a Television in the room.

I watched the television and saw a woman reporting on the news. "Missing teenager Stuart Macher was found dead last night. He is believed to have been brutally murdered and stabbed to death by an unknown person. He went missing 2 nights ago, and is believed to have been killed then and left for dead. The town is in shock and police are yet to find a suspect...." I looked over at Tatum who was being pulled away by people. You could see the terror in her face. It's like someone had taken her entire world from her. I'd never seen her like this. She was always so pretty and bubbly and happy, but right now, she was a mess. Sidney was sitting in the room too, with her hands over her mouth. Small tears were running down her cheeks and her big brown eyes were wide open. I then looked over at Billy. He sat in the back of the room, looking down at his desk. Stu was his best friend after all. He needed to act like he cared, even if he didn't. I was kind of glad that they never mentioned a suspect. Billy obviously did a good job cleaning up after that night; he didn't leave any leads for the cops to find. The entire class was in shock. Girls were in tears, sobbing loudly. Even teachers looked like they were going to be sick. It would only be a matter of time before the entire school found out. They were in for a real treat. Billy and I sat there like we had no idea what was going on.

That night, Sidney and I had planned to work on our school project. She was still a mess from her mother's death, but like everyone in that situation would do, she tried to move on from it. It didn't help that one of her friends had just been pronounced dead either. She should be there for her best friend, but we had to get this assignment done.

"How's Tatum doing?" I asked looking up.

"She's okay I guess," she answered shortly.

"I'm sorry."

"What are you sorry for?" she laughed with a tear in her eye. "I mean, you didn't kill Stu, so..."

I felt my stomach churn. "No, I didn't." I paused. "I'm sorry for bringing it up and I'm sorry that you're here with me tonight and not with Tatum."

"She wants to be alone anyway. She's not talking to anyone. She probably wont be at school for a few days."

I nodded.

We still hadn't decided on what we were doing for our assignment. The two of us couldn't agree on anything, we were just so different, but we really needed to get a move on. The project was the least of my worries right now; all my thoughts kept trailing off to Billy. Speak of the devil; Sidney brought him up in conversation.

"Billy's coping quite well, actually," she said. "Better than I thought he would."

"He seems like a strong guy," I smiled.

"But Stu was his best friend? All through high school, he and Stu followed each other down those hallways. Wherever Billy was, Stu was there. They were like a two for one deal. They didn't work without the other," she looked confused.

"I guess everyone deals with grief differently. Some people are more likely to rise above it and pretend to be strong, like Billy. Whereas others aren't able to hold it in, like Tatum."

Sidney started to cry a little. I kind of felt bad. I didn't like seeing people cry. I'd never imagined a girl like Sidney Prescott would be caught crying. Not even Tatum. The two of them were the strongest girls in school, yet right now, the both of them were completely and utterly broken and it was partly my fault.
