《Not Afraid (Billy Loomis x reader)》15- Reunited

I stared out the window into the deep woods surrounded by the dimly lit sky as the car grumbled along. It's been nine days since the party and I haven't seen Billy since. I just got released from the hospital this late afternoon, my aunt is driving us home. Since our argument she rarely talks to me. she left me stranded at the hospital. no visitors. Just nurses and doctors. I would spend my time sleeping and wandering the halls until I would get caught by the nurses and they'd escort me back to my room. It seem as though it hasn't stopped raining, the sky is constantly grey.
"(Y/n)." My aunt caught my attention, pulling me away from my thoughts. "I said we're here."
I looked around, we were parked in the drive way to the small house. I step outside the car, the breeze slapped my face as the sound of leaves scraping the asphalt could be heard. When I walked inside the house the silence was overwhelming. My aunt flipped on the lights relieving take out containers littering the counter tops. Plates and silverware crowded the sink.
I trudged upstairs towards my room. I closed and locked the door then picked up the phone and dialed Billy's house number. No answer. I tried again producing the same results. I groan and tossed the phone onto the chair and plopped on my bed. Suddenly I felt drops of water fall on the back of my neck. I looked up, surprise to see my window was open. It must have been opened for a while because everything under it was drenched. I sighed and closed the window I must've left it open, which is strange, I normally remember to close my window I shrugged it off and headed to the basement to hang everything to dry.
I walked down the steep steps into the dark basement. I fumbled around searched for the metal chain that acted as a light switch. Once found, it dimly lit the basement revealing the clothes line. I was shivering, my breathe was visible in the cold air. I draped my belonging on to the clothes line when suddenly the sound of a box being knocked over filled the air.
My breath hitched. I frantically searched for the source of the sound. My heart pounded in my chest. Who could be down here. My mind instantly jumped to the worst. Maybe it was Sidney's dad looking for revenge. No, that's not possible he's in jail right now. I then heard the sound of very light footsteps coming my way I felt around for something to protect myself with but found nothing. The sound got closer and closer I shielded my face ready to scream-

"Meow"
I looked down it was a cat. I sighed in relief and chuckled at my pathetic paranoid state.
"Jesus Christ you scared me little guy." I said and scratched the cat's back. He arched into my touch and stared to purr I chuckled. "How'd you get down here? huh?" I asked patting his head. I stood up and gazed around looking for a possible answer with the little amount of light I had. I felt a gust of wind and wiped my head to the source. My eyes landed on the wide open basement door that lead out to the cold dark rainy night. I shivered as the cold nipped at my bare skin, my aunt must have left the door open. I sighed and closed then locked the door.
I scooped up the cat and walked up stairs. I fixed up a bowl of chicken and milk and carried it along with the cat into my room. Then placing the bowl down on my bedroom floor the cat instantly started eating. I couldn't bring myself to leave the cat outside. I stared at it as it scarfed down it's food, he turned towards me with wide eyes, he was so skinny my whole hand could fit around his stomach. My heart melted at the sight of him, I decided to keep him. I'll have to name him. I laid on my bed with my legs in the air trying to come up with a name. He jumped up on me meowing for attention, I giggled and began rubbing his stomach. I think I'll name him Casper.
That night I forgot about the last couple weeks as I slept in my bed with Casper nuzzling up against my chest.
The next few days the rain continued. I mostly stayed in my room occasionally coming down to eat. Casper would keep me company in the dimly lit bedroom.
I breathed in then scrunched my nose up, I smelt terrible. I realized I was still wearing the same clothes when I left the hospital. Disgusted with myself I peeled off the wrinkled clothes and walked to the dark wooden dresser on the way there I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror I looked back surprised. My hair stuck to my face, pale skin, and a long scar down my left breast. My fingers lightly skimmed over the pink puffy line. My mouth stood ajar. Memories from that night flooded back. I could almost feel the ghost of Billy hands around my waist and his lips on mine. I reached up touching my chapped lips. I miss him. I miss him so much.

I slid on a sweatshirt and jeans and left the house for the first time in days. I flipped my hood on as the rain tapped my sweatshirt. The smell of wet asphalt filled the air as I walked down the street to Billy's house. I knocked on the door and a older man opened it, Billy's dad.
"Hi, is Billy home?" I asked with my hands behind my back while shifting my weight back and forth to each leg.
"No." He said then slammed the door in my face.
I huffed and walked away I took one last glance at his house. Something moved in the window. It looked like a person.
I didn't feel like going back home.
The wet tree branches rubbed up against me as I continued to walk. The muddy forest floor shaped around my boots, I continued to walk. My hands were turning blue as I shivered. I kept walking.
I finally stopped. I was at the cliff, were Billy and I first kissed. Everything was getting cold. My clothes were drenched, the rain continued to rage on. My eyelid were heavy I layed down on the muddy floor. A flash of light tore across the sky and then a loud boom. I jumped. I Tried to stand up but my legs gave out and I fell face first in the mud, I couldn't feel my hands or feet my skin was blue. I was just so tired I needed to sleep. I closed my eyes and drifted off into unconsciousness.
I felt something warm wrap around me, I was being lifted up. I tried to open my eyes but I was too weak. I whimpered then felt someone caress my cheek. I fell back to sleep.
Warmth surrounded my frozen body. I peeled open my eyes I was in a bathtub in my bathroom. Steam had risen from the water now on the mirror. The door open, Billy walked in holding a towel.
"Billy." I tried to yell but my voice was raspy, I stared at him with wide eyes. "I miss you so much" I sat up but as my skin came in to contact with the air my breath hitched. I quickly sunk back into the water.
Billy started to take off his clothes. I blushed and looked away half my face submerged underwater. A hand pulled my chin to face the other direction. I was staring into Billy's eyes.
"Move over."
I obeyed him, Billy sat behind me with me in between his legs. He put his arm around me, That's when I realized I was naked. I squeaked "B-Billy! I naked!" I hissed
"I am too."
I widen my eyes and covered my embarrassed face. He chuckled and pulled me into his chest.
The mood shifted "Why'd you not visit me in the hospital?" I asked staring at my toes.
"I let you get hurt, I couldn't live with myself. because of me you almost died." He quietly said.
"Billy I needed you and you weren't there." I stared down.
"I came by your house everyday and checked up on you since you got back."
"You did? Why didn't you say anything to me?"
"Because I'm bad for you." I caught him staring at my scar. I tried to cover it but he moved my hand out of the way. "Did Sidney do this?"
I nodded.
He hissed "Fuck...I shouldn't be here."
I put the palms of my hands on his chest "Please don't go."
He looked away, he was thinking. "Why were you in those woods? Why didn't you turn back?" He looked back at me "You didn't even care that you were on the brick on death. If I hadn't showed up you would've been dead." His voice was shaky. His eyes full of sadness. "Please tell me, why didn't you fight to live?"
"I...I don't know."
"You do know tell me!" He raised his voice, his grip tightening.
"I don't know. I just- It just wasn't worth living anymore without you. Billy, I thought I lost you" I held my breath awaiting his response.
He was quiet but then finally broke the silence "I'll promise to never leave you again if you promise to never pull something like that ever again." His voice cracked. I nodded my head yes.
"I love you." He pulled me closer to his chest and nuzzled into the crook of my neck.
I sat there shocked. "I love you too." I smiled and climbed on his lap.
He gave me a goofy grin and grabbed my ass I yelped. He just chuckled.

The Legion of Nothing
Nick Klein is your average high school geek--if you can still count as average when your grandfather is a retired superhero, and you've been trained in the martial arts by his friend, a mysterious, immortal mercenary. After his grandfather dies, Nick inherits the last version of the Rocket suit, powered armor that allows him to shrug off bullets, smash through walls, and manipulate sound. Along with it comes the base of his grandfather's superhero team including the team's jet and trophies from forty years of fighting criminals and aliens. Together, Nick and his friends, descendants of his grandfather's teammates, attempt to bring back a superhero team that was originally formed during World War 2. Along the way they'll face the normal problems of high school (bullies, homework, and dating), and the less normal problems like supervillians and mysteries leftover from their grandparents' past. As a story, it uses the conventions of all eras of comics from the 1940s on, ranging from serious to silly. If you're hoping for a grim and gritty story, this isn't it. The Legion of Nothing first debuted on my website legionofnothing.com in 2007. In that period it's updated more than 900 times, is still running, and has had millions of pageviews. The first two years have been released as an ebook, receiving good reviews on Amazon and Goodreads. I hope you'll enjoy it, and that you'll review it and comment. You can also vote for it on Top Web Fiction and rate it on Web Fiction Guide. Member of The Order of Phantasmal Architects.

Ghostified City
‘Ghostified City’ is a post-dystopian sci-fi tale, set in a fading world that might be a future version of ours, running out on autopilot into oblivion. Adaman Yimmand is a simple robofactory operator in The City who's working with robots and machines every day. He doesn’t even realise that he might not have met another actual human being in years. Everything begins when he breaks his routine for once and enters a bar where he meets Evelith. This pesky other person does not let him go after he has had his -rather terrible- beer, because according to her actual humans are much rarer than he’s aware of. And from then on ‘the genie is out of the bottle and won’t get back in’, to use her words: Adaman meets more people, and gradually he has no choice but to accept that the reality of The City is not what he always thought it was, and to face the darkness of a fading humanity on the brink of self-inflicted extinction. Is there any hope left for him, and for his species? I have selected 'sexual content' and 'traumatising content' to be on the safe side, because there is a stripclub-like venue in the background of the story, and an almost-extinct humanity that has institutionalised suicide which might be disturbing to some. Apart from that it's not really a heavy 'adult' story.('Ghostified City' is my first long story in English as opposed to my native language Dutch, and an earlier version was published on my fiction blog 'Oranderra' until I stopped updating. This is a slightly altered version of the first series.)
