I had just signed my last autograph and was headed up to see Lizzy. I heard my phone ringing so I answered it without looking to see who it was.

"Hello?"

"How is our little plan going?"

"She's admitted that she loves him. She won't accept a proposal from me."

"You have to make her. Did you show her the pictures?"

"Yes."

"Well?"

"She was upset but she's still not convinced."

"Then you need to change your tactics. I have a lot riding on this Aries and so do you."

"Look you need to come up with something else."

"Maybe I got the wrong man for the job. Make her love you. Whatever you did to Rue, you need to do it to her."

"You sound like a fool Shae. She's in love with someone else and I can't compete with that."

"Sex her up. You need for her to forget about Sean."

"Sex is not the answer to everything."

Why did I let Shae talk me into this? After her fiasco and confrontation with Sean a few weeks ago, she contacted me. She knew about two of Sean's contracts that were expiring in which I had been trying to get for years. She promised if I helped her, she would get them for me. Now with Lizzy not being as interested in me, I wasn't sure if this was even worth it anymore.

"Do you want Sean's contracts? I spoke to his agent and his time as a spokesmodel is up. These contracts are up for grabs. It's big money."

"I have money."

"Not this kind of money. These Japanese patriots, pay far better. Look, the contracts are worth six million each over two years. A few appearances, easy money. You and Lizzy could live happily ever after."

"Your plan is not going to work."

"Well I know she's a freak, so that will be a start. From what I hear, they say you are the freak master. Tame her," she moaned into the phone.

"If I wasn't with Sean, I would dip into the chocolate. Boy I would have you screaming my name."

"Yeah right, come swim at your own risk. Baby girl I think you have that backwards. I would have you calling my name and leaving my bed bowlegged."

She laughed.

"Oh Aries, I've even heard your toes really curl when a certain mutual friend of ours work that mouth of hers. Who do you think taught Rue? Remember the teacher is always better. Who knows, you might even get ya chance. Marinade on that. You take care of your end and I will take care of mine. Don't let me down, I'll be in touch, my Greek god Aries." She hung up and I slipped the phone in my pocket.

Why did I have a hard on?

"Mr. Aries?"

I turned around to see one of the young attendants.

"Sorry I wasn't able to get your guest the message you left earlier." She handed me a slip of paper.

"I've been so busy with Fan Day that I haven't even made it up to the lounge."

I looked on her name tag and it read Christina.

"No problem Christina. I will give it to her in person, thank you." I gave her my signature smile and she looked as if she was about to faint.

I walked off opening up the folded paper and it said to call me at 310-246-1234. I didn't recognize the number but the area code. Who would pretend to be me if Lizzy was with me? Who would have called the stadium or even known she was here?

Sean

I pulled out my phone and dialed and on the second ring, he answered.

"Lizzy please tell me you didn't say yes to his proposal. Shae said Aries was going to proposed at the stadium today."

I remained quiet. Keep talking.

"Shit! Please Lizzy tell me something."

"This is not Lizzy, it's Aries."

He let out a curse.

"She has accepted my proposal so you are irrelevant at this moment. Maybe she can make you her bitchofhonor."

"She wouldn't accept, if she did then put her on the phone."

"I'm sorry she's busy right now. We are celebrating our engagement. I really have to go."

"I want to speak to her now you asshole!"

"Do you think by calling me names, I would interrupt our celebration? Come on Sean you've had all your life to have her, why now? That's right, she's with me your biggest nemesis or is it you were never manly enough for her? Go sit down somewhere or better yet go practice because once we meet on the field, it will be no holds barred."

"You know what? She will be here tomorrow and I will talk to her then."

"No she won't."

"Excuse me."

"We will be busy, plus she's accepted a job here with the team. She signed the contract today."

He was quiet.

"Oh Sean she didn't tell you? Oh I guess you are not the first person anymore she runs too. That's right, that would be me. Get a life Sean and be there for your baby and your baby mother," I laughed and hung up.

The phone rang but I didn't answer it.

"Mr. Aries!" I heard someone calling my name. It was AJ with Marvin?

Strange.

"Hey." I looked up at Marvin.

"Why is he with you?"

"Ms. Johnson and Ms. Charlene got him a VIP family/friends pass. Since he is not allowed in the adult lounge, I took him on the field for autographs and pictures."

"Mr. Aries this is the best day ever. My mom said you would show us a good time and I'm having a blast."

I looked down at him trying to figure out what the hell was going on. Why would Charlene and Lizzy do that when I gave Sharon strict instructions to stay away?

"Where is his mother?"

"She's with Ms. Johnson and Ms. Charlene in the adult VIP lounge."

My eyes widened and my heart started to beat real fast. First Lizzy asked about Rue and now Sharon had manipulated her way upstairs. What a freaking day!

"Take him to the kids lounge. I will go and get his mother."

"Yes sir." Marvin walked away with AJ.

I began to jog. This was going to be a delicate situation and I needed to think fast on my feet. I jumped in the elevator and headed up to the lounge. I looked around and spotted Rue, damn it! She was sitting at the bar but her focus was on the other end of the room. Following her disposition, I saw Lizzy, Sharon and Charlene talking in a circle.

I eased over to where Rue was. I asked a bartender for a sheet of paper where I wrote down for Rue to meet me outside in the back hallway. I gave the note to the bartender where he nodded headed over to Rue. I left and waited.

"There is plenty of food and drink, help yourself," Charlene said.

"So Sharon, I'm glad AJ was able to come. I'm sure he's having a blast on the field with the players."

"He wouldn't have missed this opportunity for the world."

"So where are you two staying?"

"At the Hyatt not too far from here."

"It's nice," Charlene said.

"So you two know each other?"

"Charlene and I played college women's basketball many years ago. We actually played against each other."

"And now you're friends."

"We were friends then. We use to party when we played on the SEC Conference Championship team."

"So how long have you been knowing Aries?" She asked me quickly changing the subject.

Charlene looked at me.

"A little over a year."

"So you two are serious?"

"Why? Are you interested?" I asked sarcastically. I took a sip of my drink.

She laughed and a sinister grin crossed her face.

"You would be a worthy competitor but I have something that you don't."

"Sharon is that you," Mildred asked walking over to us.

"Mrs. Wilson?" She seemed a little uncomfortable.

"Come with me Sharon," she asked through gritted teeth. Did I just miss something?

Charlene looked at me and then to Aries mother.

"What the hell was that all about?" Charlene asked.

"I have no idea. What did she mean that she has something I don't? From what I hear she doesn't even have a job from what Aries told me. I overheard her speaking at the little league game that she was trying to get paid. Now she did say her baby daddy lives here, but she never mentioned his name."

"Then why didn't he come? This would have been the perfect father/son outing. My kids are here and excited that their dad is celebrating Fan Day with them."

"Good question. AJ is good no doubt, but sista girl seems a little biggity."

"True but how does Aries mother know her? Lizzy, she called your girl out by her name. No hello, she came for her like she was about to expose something top secret."

I looked over and Aries mother seemed to be giving her a tongue lashing. I thought back to earlier when I was sick and I listened in on Aries conversation.

He's a sweet kid. Seems very smart," a deep voice said that wasn't Aries.

"You better do your part. Maybe you could take full custody because that mother of his is bad news. She's getting impatient with you. I could hear it in the conversation," a female chimed in.

"She'll probably make up some lie about how things happen and it could ruin your reputation. Did you know the little skank was trying to come back with us?"

"Your mother put her in check and told her no," Aries dad said.

"She wasn't happy about either," his niece chimed in. "I wouldn't be surprised if she didn't make a surprise visit over here."

"That won't happen especially with Liz here. If she tries anything, she will lose too much," Aries said.

I sat down. I stared at Aries's mother and then at Sharon. Why did his mother look so pissed off? Why was Sharon rolling her eyes with a f-you look on her face? Fragments of conversations past continued to circle my thoughts.

"You would be a worthy competitor but I have something that you don't."

"I'm sure he's a proud papa. AJ has real talent."

"He is. I would have to agree with that."

"Oh did he come with you all?" I looked around searching.

"No but he lives here. We aren't together but who knows things could be changing."

"Good luck, I hope things work out. Does Aries know you're here at the stadium?"

"I texted him. The last time he was in town he told us he wanted us to come to his Fan Day. He paid for us to come and even offered for us to stay with him but I was against it. It wouldn't look right you know."

! My head was pounding and I was feeling sick to my stomach again.

"That won't happen especially with Liz here. If she tries anything, she will lose too much," Aries said.

He knew this skank was here and didn't say a word. When he was suppose to meet me at my house that night, he claimed he was at AJ's house. AJ, what did it stand for? Mighty funny Aries starts with an A. Could the J be for Junior? Then there was Rue, his ex-fiancé that he never mentioned, but why? How many more ratchet women had he been with? Was he still screwing them behind my back?

I was feeling really sick again. How could he say he loved me when he was playing house with other women? This was my payback for handling Sean wrong. He was always upfront. Whenever he did meet a girl, I knew about it. He never hid one from me. Damn it! How could I be so damn stupid?!

"Elizabeth are you okay? You are starting to look pale," Charlene asked taking a seat next to me.

"He lied to me, better yet he played me."

"What are you talking about?"

"Rue, first of all."

"They were engaged years ago and they called it off. I think she cheated on him with the trainer."

"Charlene, she made it a point earlier to introduce herself to me. I was clueless as he never once mentioned her this entire year we have been seeing each other. The trip part she knew about his mother's barbecue a few weeks ago and I had no clue."

"Do you think he's still seeing her?"

"Probably, she mentioned some scratches on his back."

"Did you see any?"

"I never checked, she just mentioned it a few hours ago."

"Do you think she's here because of him?"

"I wouldn't put it pass her. Heifer!"

"Calm down Liz."

"It's kinda hard Charlene."

"Do you have proof?"

"Really Charlene? I have enough to know that this fool done messed with the wrong one. I told him I wasn't in love with him earlier, that I'm in love with someone else."

"Okay didn't see that coming."

"Aries has been a placeholder. I came here to breakup with him but I felt guilty, but now he made this a lot easier."

"Talk to him before you just close the book. You could be speculating."

"My gut is telling me something isn't right."

"You have a good heart, Lizzy. If you're going to end it with Aries, do it to his face, don't duck and dodge. Talk to him. At least that way, you won't have any regrets."

"I'll talk, and then I'm gone."

"Good."

My stomach was literally bubbling. I leaned over and cradled my stomach.

"Sounds fair enough, where is the restroom in this place. My stomach is doing flips."

"Come I'll show you."

Charlene stood and I followed behind her.

I waited for Rue to come. A few minutes later the door opened and I sat on the steps.

"Kinky much? Your soon to be fiancé is in the next room, I knew you didn't really want her."

"That's not the reason why I called you in here."

"I'm leaving Aries."

"Wait!"

"What do you want?" She put her hand on her hip.

"I need you to get Sharon away from Lizzy."

"Who the hell is that?"

"The woman that is talking to her and Charlene."

"Why would I do that? Unless you're up to something. Who is she and why do you want me to help you?"

"She was my college sweetheart. She and I were together for some time."

"Why can't you break it up yourself? Unless you are scared of something. I know you Aries, when you don't have control over the situation you panic."

"You're crazy! Are you going to help me or not?"

"Why should I? You played me like a whore in the night. You hurt me Aries. I've been with your ass for years. One mistake and I'm still paying for it."

"You know what I'll just do it myself." I raised up. I swear salty females weren't worth a dime.

"If I do this, then what do I get?"

I chuckled. "Not a damn thing." She grabbed my phone.

"What the hell?!"

She swiped and pressed down on the screen. I tried getting it back but she threaten to throw it.

"I knew it. Let me guess you screwing her too?"

"Who?"

"Shaunte!" She raised up the phone and Shae's number appeared on the screen.

"What?!"

"I overheard you on the phone earlier. You mentioned Shae's name."

"You talking out your head."

"You can't run game on game. I googled your little girlfriend. It seems she has more pictures with Sean Gipson than she has with her current boyfriend; I mean future fiancé. Those photos were hot between the two of them and he always mentioned his best friend. Even looked on his Instagram pictures and who do I see? A few pictures of Shauntae but mostly they were of your darling Elizabeth. This league is very small and its players seem to keep within the circle."

"You have no proof. It's all speculation."

"I have started these acting classes and my teacher says I'm pretty good. I could walk out this door and whatever of a relationship you two have, I could ruin it in a heartbeat. Don't you know Shae is the worst kind of trouble? She is the type to actually destroy you. She doesn't play when it comes to getting her way. When you back her into a corner, she doesn't hide, she comes out for blood. So as I see it, you really do need me." She raised up her dress, no panties.

"Move Rue." I tried to push her away but she pushed me where I hit my back on the stair. The pain shot through my back. She raised my arms up and kissed me.

"Stop it!"

"You want my help, then this is the way. Eat this, and eat it good and then I won't have to tell the doc that her man has been a bad boy." She raised up and placed her sweetness over my face. Before she came down I pushed her where she lost her balance and hit her head on the wall. She landed crooked.

"Rue?"

She didn't move.

"Rue?"

Still nothing. I checked for a pulse and I couldn't find one. I called her name again but she laid almost lifeless.

I grabbed my phone to call 911 and her finger twitched. Her head moved slowly. She seemed to be in and out of consciousness. I grabbed my hand sanitizer out my side pocket and a Kleenex out the other. I squirted my hand and placed the tissue on the knob. I opened it and walked out. Since she was the last one in, her prints would be on the door jam.

Looking up, I didn't see any cameras. Those would be in the main room. The owner was cheap when it came to smaller details so I should be fine. I needed to find Lizzy. I looked but didn't see her. What I did find was my mother talking to Sharon. I walked over to where they were.

"What are you doing in here?"

"Your girlfriend invited me in here."

"You're lying."

"Do you not see my name on the tag? From what I see, I belong in here."

"You need to leave."

"Please. Like I told your sexless mother, I hold the cards. I could destroy you."

"Listen you cheap hoe, don't you ever disrespect my mother and watch that damn mouth before I throw you out myself."

"You can't afford a scandal. From what I hear you haven't signed your new contract. I'm sure any indiscretions you have or been hiding, it's probably better to keep it under wraps."

"I lose then you lose."

"Boy please. You have money for two lifetimes. Real estate, cars, endorsements, with a guarantee, not to mention several other investments. Just with that, AJ and I would be sitting pretty. I would love being a Georgia Peach. I could shop and of course take care of your son. He will be just as good as you, if not better and little boys always take care of their mommy. Isn't that right Mildred?"

"You need to take care of her Aries. She's drunk and her repugnance is working my last nerve."

"Let's go Sharon."

"Is everything okay over here?" Eric asked with Randall and two other teammates in tow.

"Yeah, she was leaving."

"Miss this a private party, you need to leave," one of the security guards said.

"Miss come with me," the guard said.

"What are you doing to my mom?" AJ came running over to where we were.

"AJ come here," my mother said trying to get him to move away from Sharon. A crowd was starting to gather.

"No AJ come here to ma'am." Her eyes were pleading with him. He turned from my mother and headed towards his.

The guard walked behind her about to but the cuffs on her.

"You're going to have the mot...her of your son arresteddddd in front of him?" Her speech was starting to slur.

I could hear gasps and side conversations. If she wasn't in handcuffs I would beat her ass.
