《My New Boss》Chapter 12

It's been two weeks since I've heard from Michael, sergeant Jamison said that he personally saw him get on the plane. I decided to tell my parents what was going on and had to deal with a lecture of why I should have told them from the beginning and that maybe I should move back home for a while. That was definitely not about to happen. I needed some kind of freedom and privacy. I was extremely busy at work with planning the annual charity gala. I avoided going to this every year but because Vincent's company has been picked as the host this year I had to attend.
I was home getting ready when Vincent texted me that he would send a driver for me.
I wore a black gown which flowed down to the floor. It was completely backless down to my tailbone. My hair was gathered on top of my head so as not to take away from the back of my dress. I wore simple diamond earrings and a diamond ring. I just put the finishing touches on my makeup when the driver arrived.
***Vincent's P.O.V********
"So Vince what girl you trying to take home tonight?"
"None of them Im good. Besides shouldn't you—"
"Hello Vincent, looks like it's a good turn out. You look very dashing tonight."
"Thanks Sharon, Yea pretty good turn out. Mark, Ian and Bobby this is Sharon she works for me."
"Only works for you huh, you sure you not tapping that?" Mark whispered.
"Positive, I'm spoken for, I'm a one woman guy."
"Where is this girl of yours?" Bobby asked
"You'll meet her tonight."
"So you don't mind if I talk to Sharon?"
"Has nothing to do with me Bobby."
"Damn who is that, she is sexy."
We turned our heads to see who Ian was talking about and I saw Zara.

"Damn." Was all I could get out.
"Vince you said you have a girl remember?" I heard Ian say.
She looked absolutely irresistible. I saw the stares she was getting from the men in the room. I couldn't blame them but I didn't like it.
"Oh that's just Zara, she works with Vincent and I also." Sharon said.
"I think I should get to know her better, if you know what I mean."
"I don't think so Ian."
"You look beautiful dolcezza." I said when she reached me.
"Thanks Vince, you look very handsome yourself."
"Guys, this is my girlfriend Zara. Zara this is Mark, Ian and Bobby. You already know Sharon." Who was currently standing there with her mouth open.
"Nice to meet you guys. Hello Sharon."
"Um oh h-hi. If you will excuse me."
"Your girlfriend, where have you been keeping her?
"Away from you hyenas." I said laughing.
"Excuse me Mr. Covelli's can I speak with you for a moment?" One of the owners of the place asked.
"Yea sure. I'll be back in a minute sweets." I said kissing Zara.

When I got back I saw the guys laughing with Zara.
"Vince you lucked out with this one, she's a keeper."
"Don't I know it."
"Yeah now I see why you are a one woman guy. If I had someone like her I would be too."
"Sorry Ian she's one of a kind and all mine."
"Well she promised me a dance didn't you Zara?"
"Yea, you ready? I'll be right back Vince."
"Keep your hands to yourself Ian." I watched as they walked to the dance floor laughing. At least it was a fast song. I laughed when Bobby and Mark went to dance with Zara as well.
"So when did you two start messing around? Is that why you keep turning me down?" she asked pointing toward Zara.

I could see why Zara didn't like her. "I turned you down before we started dating. I wasn't interested then and I'm not interested now."
"She's nothing but a sl—"
"I suggest you don't finish that." I said before walking toward Zara.
***** Zara's P.O.V*****
"Sorry fellas, I came to steal my girlfriend." Vincent said walking over to me and the guys. "Dance with me dolcezza."
"Of course. Were you jealous?"
"Maybe a little."
When the music started playing he pulled me against him and started singing along with the music. He sounded good too.
When we finished dancing we walked back over to Vincent's friends while they discussed some business. I didn't really know what they were talking about because I was so tired I was zoning out. I laid my head on Vincent's shoulder while he made small circles on my lower back with his fingers.
"You ready to go dolcezza?"
"Yup" I said popping the p. "I'm beat, I think I'm going to stay with you tonight because it's closer and I just want out of this dress."
"I want you out of that dress too." He said wiggling his eyebrows.
"You're so fresh." I said laughing.
When we got to Vincent's apartment I started taking the pins out of my hair and started scratching my scalp. "Oh this feels so good."
"You know sweets I don't think you know how good you look tonight or the effect you're having on me." He said walking up behind me and sliding his arms around my waist. He pulled my hair to one side and started to kiss my neck and I instinctively leaned back into him.
"You know Mr. Covelli's I find you extremely sexy."
"Really Ms. Collins, how much?" He said before kissing my upper back.
"Enough to let you kiss me." I said turning in his arms and kissing him. It wasn't long before he took control. He grabbed my butt and I gasped giving his tounge entrance into my mouth.
"Bella, if we keep this up I won't be able to stop."
"I don't want you to stop." I say attempting to step out of my shoes when he stops me.
"Leave them on." He said picking me up and carried me to his bedroom.

********Sharon's P.O.V.**************
"You can't just show up at my place when you want Michael. Just because we slept together a few times doesn't give you rights over me."
"Ill show up when I want, now did you get me what I need?"
Did you know they were dating? You didn't tell me that when you asked for my help."
"Listen you help me get what I want and she'll be out of the way so you can get Vincent."
"And what if I dont?"
"Then the only thing you will be good for is worm food." he said grabbing me by the neck. When I looked into his eyes I could see that he was crazy.
"Okay, okay I'll help you. I wrote it down it's over there on my desk."
"I thought you would see things my way."
"Can you really get me Vincent?" I asked cautiously while rubbing my neck. I didn't want to irritate him anymore than I had.
"Don't worry your pretty little head. Leave it all to me."

I want to say thank you to all the new readers and of course those who were already reading and are continuing to read. I really appreciate the comments and votes. You guys inspire me to keep writing. You are the best. I'm sending you all a bunch of hugs and kisses.

Adrian had never started a fight in his life, but then his best friend stole his girlfriend. He knew it would be trouble when he tried to get her back, but he didn’t expect it would get him killed. The higher-dimensional beings that sent him here have told him to break the world of Antium. He’s one of many that has been sent in to shake things up and breathe new life into a dying world. Quebracho: The Legend of Two Heroes
After a violent and tough battle, you recover in an infirmary with your fellow soldiers, or in a more relatable scenario, visit your friend's house after a hard day of studying. You’d expect that both of them would play out normally for the most part, right? Well... Maxon Cortez and Jason McGuire had the same thoughts too. Yet, fate has different plans for them: Max ends up in an eerie location he doesn’t recognize and Jace gets transported to an entirely different world that works like a video game (sort of) by walking into a portal. As they travel along the lands, the two of them will encounter other individuals of many kinds, make friends new and old, gain powerful abilities, experience spectacular adventures, and obtain priceless treasures. However, Maxon and Jason will unknowingly become integral parts of a nefarious conspiracy that, if successful, will plunge both of their worlds into eternal chaos and darkness. So it’s up to them and their allies to thwart it. Side-Note: I’ll admit right off the bat that this story will be my first attempt at writing a LitRPG, so the in-game mechanics and terminology will probably look weird and be even nonsensical. If you notice something that’s out-of-place or just flat out wrong, I apologize. Not only that, it's been a while since I've wrote anything and thus I'm a little bit rusty. So please bear with me. New chapters once every Saturday or Sunday. Also, I'll be fine-tuning the grammar, punctuation, and spelling when I have the time. So expect a lot of random edits. This story is also available on ScribbleHub.

A Portal Fantasy Comedy Poem
Mix an adolescent shepherd boy in love with a girl who wants to meet existentialists, a Viscount in need of an adventure, and a bland psychic. Add in a flippant god. Put them in a land made up of the after-lives of various different cultures. Stir gently. Sprinkle in some random Midgard Serpent, Genghis Khan, Scheherazade, and a cussing mocking bird. Fry lightly. Season to taste and serve with desired garnishes. Bon apetit! A comic fantasy poetic epic, filled with misfits, slapstick routines, light romance, people shouting out the names of their battle skills before using them, old philosopher dudes running around naked, a very serious lamb, demonic knitting, battery operated magic swords and even more traumatising stuff! I experimented with different styles in the beginning and finally settled on an ABABBCBC rhyme scheme (Give me your 0.5s. Gimme, gimme, gimme. I'm collecting them, seriously)
