James
What was she doing? Why was she touching him? She's still mine.
"Bro chill you might break the glass." I put down the cup.
Tanya
I wasn't scared of what James could do because I knew on the inside he was still a softie. I took out my phone and for the first time in weeks I texted him.
We know you're here
I put my phone back and we did a little laughing before we continued our discussion of girly topics.
"So wait I think we should go into detail about you and Corey." I smirked.
"I mean he's cool but I'm still scared of him. Plus he seems like a dick."
"On the outside but on the inside he's a great guy."
"I don't know."
"We're not gonna force you to do anything you don't want but we're just saying you guys would be a great couple."
"He probably views me as a small girl who's pretty but that's it. Plus I don't like cocky men." I nodded and then our food was bought to us. It looked so good, it feels like months have passed since I've sat down with people I love and just ate. We tried to do that at the party but that was interrupted when Eva showed up at our door step.
"Okay girls toast." I said raising up our glasses filled with Merlot. "I want to thank you guys for coming here and enjoying this night with me, to old friends and new ones, may we forever dig into our men's pockets and rid them on any financial wealth they've ever obtained in the classiest way possible because we aren't basic bitches." I said jokingly we shared a laugh and toasted.
Then we ate, we all nodded in approval as we tasted the robust flavors.
"This is so good." I said with a mouthful of pasta, and in thirty minutes the table was cleared. We had desert, our main entrees and now it was time for our classy night to come to an end. I called our waiter over and asked for the bill.

"Wait I'll pay for Eva's and mine." Sandra chipped in. I scoffed and slid a couple of bills into the black envelope.
"I got it, I invited you guys. You got the next bill." My waiter came back and I was puzzled.
"Your money has been declined and the bill has already been paid for." I rolled my eyes. No one other than James.
"Keep the money, that's your tip." I said giving him a wink. He blushed and quickly walked away.
"Aww how cute." Sandra said looking at the boy. I chuckled.
"Let's make our way over to them." I said getting up. We collectively walked over to the men.
"Corey, James." I acknowledged. They kept their eyes on the menu and we laughed.
"We know it's you." They both shared a look and took off their sunglasses.
"We wanted to make sure you guys were okay."
"We're fine."
"Tanya I'm-" I shushed him.
"We can talk about it at home." I nodded. He gave me a small smile and nodded.
"Yikes don't want to hear that." Eva muttered.
"Alright, my boys are here to pick me up, you got somewhere to go Eva?" All eyes were on her and she flustered.
"Well it seems I've been kicked out so-"
"You can stay with me." Corey said, Eva's whole demeanor changed and she became sassy, her eyebrow raised, face turned into a grimace
"I guess, I need to find my own place soon."
"After we settle this war." Then the dark mode was bought back.
"Can we talk about something else? Eva will you be okay staying with my brother?" I asked with a smirk. She nodded.
"Okay I'll see you guys soon." Sandra said giving the both of us hugs, whispering something in Eva's ear that made her blush.
"Do you need money for clothes?" I asked opening my wallet.

"I got it covered. You ready to go?" Corey asked. Eva nodded and Corey escorted her out placing a hand on the small of her back which she slapped away quickly. I did a small giggle before turning my attention to James who was staring deeply at me.
"You ready?" I asked him. He nodded I opened my hand to him and he took it.
"You look beautiful." He mumbled as we walked out.
"Thank you."
Then the ride home was silent.
We were in our room now, I haven't slept in that bed since we fought but I noticed some furniture missing.
"What happened to the lamp?" I asked, there were matching lamps on each side but the one on his side was missing.
"I smashed it against a wall. By accident." He said. Mhm okay. I stood in the mirror and looked at myself all dolled up for the last time, James came behind me and looked at us. "I'm sorry Tanya."
"It wasn't your fault, I should be more cautious about what's happening." I mumbled as he wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me into him.
"We both fed into the fire, I should trust you more, you're an independent woman and I respect that. I am glad you saved Eva and I appreciate that you're going to be more careful."
"I appreciate that you apologized and respect that I'm my own person."
"Great, I missed you so much."
"I missed you more." I said a smile growing on my face. James started to undo the zipper on the back of my dress and I chuckled. I took off the greed leaving me in my undergarments but as he went to make the next move I pushed him away.
"I have to go take my makeup off." He pouted. "You'll live." I said rolling my eyes and going into the bathroom. I washed my face clean of makeup and brushed my teeth. I gave myself a great smile in the mirror before turning the light off and heading to our bedroom again. James was in the bed watching me as I took careful steps to our bed.
"You're so beautiful." He said aloud as I crawled on the bed.
"You're not too bad yourself." I said smugly. I got on the opposite side of the bed furthest away from him and turned facing away from him.
"Tanya." He said a warning tone in his voice. My eyes closed and smile on my face.
"Yes James?" I answered playfully.
"Stop playing around."
"I'm not doing anything James." I said sighing as I got even more comfortable.
"Alright two can play that game." He mumbled before moving all the way over to where I was, pushing me to the edge of the bed and spooning me.
"Hey, I don't have any room." I complained.
"Not my problem." I frowned and sat up.
"Move over." I said pushing his rock hard chest, to my amusement he barely budged.
"There's not enough room."
"You're telling me on this Alaskan King size bed that there's no room for the both of us?" I asked.
"Nope." He said popping the p, I frowned.
"Move over James."
"What's the magic word?"
"Please?" I asked and added a pout.
"Fine by only because you're cute." I rolled my eyes and he scooted over to the middle where I joined him, stealing all his warmth as he embraced me.

Hy'Ruh-Ha is a what I consider a chronicle fantasy. It is a fantasy drama coming of age story inspired by slice-of-life stories I've read and watched. It is heavy on the slice-of-life and does move slow. It is low-stakes fantasy. This particular story is romance free.(2 out the of 4 is re-uploaded under this title) And if you are someone who cares, the POV character is asexual. Crossroad(formally labeled as the intermission stories)- is a novella collection continuing the tale where Hy'ruh-Ha. The collection as followed: Wolf- After spending several months in the swamp post, Oeric'Sheldmartin returns to repair the chasm between him and his son, Soletus. However, a ghost from his past comes to haunt him and could ruin the life he's made completely. Note: Wolf is a bit of a character piece. POV character is Oeric. The Priest and the Priestess- A novella written in the POV of Mien and then Kiao after a series of unexpected events that change their lives. Mien's POV- Mien has spent the last couple of years working not only in the infirmary but training to become a combat chanter as part of his penitence. Then one day, a drug addled elf comes into infirmary and changes his perspective of a friend and puts his knowledge to the tests to figure out a mystery effecting children in town. *Spoiler warning* Kiao's POV- Kiao spent most of her time in the infirmary living the same daily secret filled life and until Mien changed it.
