《Gone Before Raine (Interracial-Bwwm)》Chapter 12

Raine woke up screaming, she was having a nightmare. She kept dreaming about the forest and all her friends. She would see their heads rolling towards her feet. Raine was shaking as she looked around the room. Her wrists and ankles were sore from trying to pull them from her bonds. She bit her lips when the pain from her wounds started up again. She sat up slightly to see what exactly Harry had carved onto her thighs. Raine tilted her head to see what the word was.
"Harry..." Raine read to herself. What an ass. He had carved his name onto her thigh. Raine lays her head back on the one pillow he had provided her with. She stared up at the ceiling. She wondered if her parents were getting suspicious that she wasn't back yet. What about Cherry and Daryl? She really didn't care about George, but way deep down inside she had hoped he had made it out too.
"Good morning love," Harry smiles walking into the room. "I made you breakfast," He grins bringing the food over to her side. Raine frowns watching him. "I made my mom's homemade recipe for blueberry pancakes," He smiles proudly. Harry sits on the bed and started cutting the pancakes. "Today is a big day for you," He brings the pancakes to her lips. Raine stares up at him, keeping her lips in a firm line. He probably drugged the food.
Harry sighs eating the pancakes, "See there is nothing in them, now open up," Raine didn't want to give him the satisfaction of her obeying his orders, but she was really hungry. Eventually she opened her mouth, allowing him to feed her. Raine chewed the food watching as Harry smiles at her.
"See...that wasn't so bad," He gets more of the pancakes onto the fork. After he fed Raine all the food he went to the closet and got out a new set of clothes for her.

"You're not changing me," Raine protested. Harry looks at her with his brow raised.
"I'm afraid you don't really have a choice." He left the room and came back with his rag to clean up her raw wound. Once it was cleaned he wrapped it up with the medical gauze. Harry then untied one of her hand so he could slip the shirt on. "Don't try anything stupid," He warns her as he unties her other hand. Raine nods, making him believe she would stay still. Harry unties her legs so he could change her pants, Raine took the chance and kicked him in the face. Harry stumbled back, groaning as he cupped his nose.
Raine jumped off the bed, running out of the room. "You b.itch!" She heard Harry growl followed by his footsteps after her. Raine stumbled as she tried to run. Her legs felt like noodles. She panicked as she could hear Harry getting closer to her. Not knowing where to go, Raine ran into another room, locking the door after her. She pushed the dresser up against the door. Raine looked around the room for something she could use as a weapon. There was nothing.
Harry wiped his nose, seeing the smeared blood on his hand. He growled as he walked downstairs, opening the door to the basement. He looks at the person standing there waiting for his orders. "Do it now," He spat leaning against the wall watching. The person nods, pulling their mask over their face. Harry watch as he went into the other room and came back with a person who was unconscious. Harry smirks watching as the victim was hoisted up into the air by chains that were attached to some hooks.
Raine sat on the bed in the room, running a hand through her hair. She just wanted to get out, was that too much to ask? As she sat there the tv in the room suddenly flicked on. Raine looked at the screen confused. How did it turn on? She stood up walking over to it, Harry was on the screen. How? Watching the screen she realized it was from a camera from the house. Was he in the basement? She looked closer and saw the person from the woods attaching someone to hooks?

"What in the world?" Raine mumbles giving the screen her full attention. Harry looks up to the camera flashing it a smile. He knew she was watching, he was doing all of this on purpose. The person from the woods moved to the side revealing the person they had captured.
"Daryl!" Raine screamed. Harry laughed when he heard her yell Daryl's name. He walks over to Daryl, smacking him. Daryl jolted awake groaning but soon started to squirm when he realized he was tied up. Harry chuckles walking around him.
"Well hello there," Harry grins pushing his hair out of his face. "Nice to finally meet one of Raine's friends. You were quite the one to catch," Harry steps back, letting his friend stand in front of Daryl.
"Leave him alone!!" Raine screamed at the tv, knowing that Harry could hear her. Daryl panicked as he looked around the basement. It looked like a torture chamber.
"What should we take first? His leg? His arm? Raine what do you think?" Harry spoke loud looking at the camera. Raine rushed to the door, pushing the dresser out of the way. She hesitantly opened the door, looking out into the hallway. They were all in the basement so she knew no one was up there with her. She quietly walked down the stairs and made her way into the kitchen. She searched the draws looking for any knife to use. Harry was smart and locked away all of the utensils that could be used as a weapon.
"I knew you would come out," Harry spoke from behind her. Raine screamed as he grabbed her by the hair, slamming her head into the fridge. "I'm always one step ahead of you," He whispered to her.

[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Author's Note: Dungeons are Bad Business (DABB) is a slow burn slice-of-life dungeon core litRPG citybuilder that's focused on the day to day experience of running a dungeon. There will be some action, but it won't be the focus of the story and Vee and his friends will usually overcome their problems with their minds and their pocketbooks instead of their weapons. Since I'm participating in the writeathon, I will probably be uploading chapters almost daily for the duration of the event. Thanks for reading!
