《Gone Before Raine (Interracial-Bwwm)》Chapter 11

Raine frowned as she watched Harry play his guitar in front of the bed. It was her second day there. She was starting to feel defeated about if anyone had made it out and found help. She wondered if they were even alive at this point. Raine wanted to rip her ears out. Harry was singing how to save a life by Fray. She felt he was taunting her in a way with the song.
"Can you stop singing?" She asks as politely as possible although she really wanted to claw his eyes out. Harry stared at her and continued to strum at the strings of the guitar. He seemed to sing even louder now that she had requested that he stop singing.
"You're evil!" Raine spat at him. Harry raises a brow at her as he finishes singing the song. He chuckles standing up as he sets the guitar up against the chair he was siting on. He walked over to her.
"If I'm evil, what are you?" Harry tilts his head looking at her.
"What?" Raine closed her eyes, leaning it back against the pillow. "Lord please give me the strength, not only is he the spawn of Satan, he's dumb." Raine opens her eyes to see Harry staring at her with his jaw clenched.
"Take that back," Harry growls, his hands balled up at his sides. Raine noticed this, she knew she was getting him fired up, but she didn't care.
"Take what back, how much of a freak you are?" Raine taunts. Harry points a finger at her, his face red in anger.
"You brought this upon yourself!" He walks out the room. Raine sat up as best as she could with her bonds. She was kind of nervous when he walked out the room. Harry came back with a bag in his hand. Raine bit her lips as she watched him.

"What are those?" She asked in a high pitch voice as he pulled out the tools from the bag.
Harry smirks, touching the points on the tools. From her view, Raine could tell they were some type of sharp cutting tools. She swallowed the lump in her throat as she watched him. Okay, maybe she shouldn't have taunted him.
"This is my favorite," Harry showed her his pliers. "Oh actually maybe this one is," He showed her his huge butcher knife. Harry smirked as he laid everything out on the dresser near the bed.
"Listen I'm really sorry about all the things I said earlier. You're not evil," Raine tries to talk to him. The way he was looking at those tools, he really wanted to use them and by the looks of it he wanted to use them on her.
"Too late to say sorry now. You talked your way into this, but you can't talk your way out of this now." Harry climbed onto the bed, his carving knife in his right hand.
"Get away from me!" Raine screamed, trying to kick him with her legs. Harry held her down, grabbing her thigh firmly. Harry started carving something into her skin. Raine screamed, thrashing around as much as she could. She couldn't even put into words the pain she was feeling.
"Stop!" She cries out. Harry ignored her, licking his lips in concentration as he wrote on her skin with the tool. Her skin was raw, small beads of blood escaping the small incisions. Harry let go of her thigh admiring his work. He smiles, getting off the bed.
Raine takes deep breathes trying to calm herself down. Her heart was pounding so fast as she watched him. Raine looked down at her thigh. It was a bloody mess. She couldn't even tell what he had written on her skin. Harry walked back over to the bed with a jar of something that Raine could not tell what it was.

Harry opened the jar taking a nice amount of the substance and smeared it onto her cuts. Raine whimpered biting down on her lip hard. She could taste the metallic flavor of her blood fill her mouth.
"Next time you'll learn to keep your mouth shut." Harry whispers into her ear. Raine looks at him and spits in his face. Harry sighs wiping his brow where the spit landed. "I was going to let your friends get out safely, but now thanks to you, I'm going to have them all killed. Every. Single. One. Of. Them." He said each word with so much hate.
Raine shook her head pleading with him.
"You don't listen!" Harry smacked her. His chest heaved up and down as he watch her head collided back against the head board. He was just so mad. He got on top of her, wrapping his arms around her neck. He squeezed and squeezed. "You never listen," He whispered to her. Raine gasped for air which was impossible. Harry was blocking her airways by squeezing her neck. "This is all your fault," Was the last thing Raine heard before everything went black.

Apex Predator
Earth is a fairly small place, but it's all Bath has. It's the only home he's ever known for all of his 500-or-so-million years of life. One day, Bath realized his treasured Earth was being drawn into the next mass extinction ahead of schedule. So, fascinated by the humans and their quick rise to power (after all, setting off a mass extinction is a pretty sizable achievement), what's a nearly all-powerful, somewhat bored, morally ambiguous, savagely violent, shapeshifting alien entity to do other than assume the form of a human and do some front-line investigating? Little did Bath know he would soon stumble upon a mysterious human organization with a gate leading to planets eons away. And that's just the beginning... A story with aliens, intergalactic space travel, mind powers, and an abundance of adventure! Author's note: ON HIATUS! Hello and thank you for reading! Constructive criticism and grammar-policing are both appreciated. Parts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 are complete at 1271 pages! Part 7 is in progress! If you've ever read any other web serials, you might've noticed that authors get better with time (that is, their art or writing improves). Wutosama of Metaworld Chronicles noted that the first 20 chaps are always a mess. This is also the case with Apex Predator. The first two parts (ranging just under 30 chapters, or 161 pages) are absolutely subpar. While I have edited them as of 7-10-18, they require a rewrite, which is currently in the works but not complete. For a sample that gives insight into what the latter ~80% of the story's writing style is like, check out chapter 56. Vote for Apex Predator on Top Web Fiction! The Apex Predator Discord is here. Cover: original work done by me, the author, caerulex.

Fateless: The Silver Lining
It has been ten years of peace for the Union since the end of the great war with the eastern barbarian tribes, yet in the cold north of the Union's land, a new threat is looming. This time, an ambitious Lord is seeking to restore the yore pride of his kin, forcing the weakened Union into yet another unwanted war, as he ramps up the ranks of his army with thieves, murderers and mercenaries.* * *The temperature inside the forge was nearly twice as high as the one outside. A black-haired girl hammered a steel ingot into the shape of a blade. The heat of the steam was draining her stamina away, but her focus remained sharp as her sweat streamed down her face. Hit after hit, for hours, the sound of the hammering steel followed the rhythm of her breathing. Exhausted, she placed the blade into the water and wiped the sweat off her face using a drenched rag. Why are they screaming? Vatra dipped the rag back in the water, twisted it, and approached the window. Her mouth opened as her world shattered again into the living nightmare she had wilfully tried to forget. She bit her lips; it wasn’t a dream. The pulse of her heart rose. A cold sweat prickled her back. A mother was running, and a child was screaming. A torrent of smoke was emerging from the roof of her neighbour. Vatra’s eyes blinked. The mother lay on the ground, a spear through her back. A torch circled in the air and landed on the roof of her workshop. In the distance, a man wearing a banner well known to the world… Fateless is a philosophical medieval dark low fantasy centered on war, militaristic campaigns and geopolitical conflicts between multiple empires. This story follows the fate of Vatra, a former slave from the eastern Nar Empire who was raised in a culture far away from her own, forced into warfare against her will, and the fate of Lanaya, an ambitious half-angel exiled from her home whose existence is seen as heresy. As they wished for peace, both chose a path opposed to one another until their fate crossed. In this story where war dictates the law, love strikes them as a poisoned balm to which they grasp for with all their might, as it is in the darkest of times that the smallest flames may burn the brightest. * * * Tome 1 already completed and available on Amazon: https://www.amazon.ca/Fateless-Silver-Hugo-Emmanuel-Simard-Wallot/dp/B09LGSH1KK Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Hugo-Emmanuel-Simard-Wallot-100547579135891/ I will publish 1 chapter per week (sometimes 2 if the chapters are too short for my liking).

Winter Sovereign
Serra Recquir, a boy born in the world of Sierra, was born with weak and with mediocre talent. Despite the odds, he pursued the path of cultivation. He faced numerous trials, deadly foes and great friends. Eventually, he stepped into the world of the Divine Realm. Breaking past the limits of the world and traveling to higher planes. After millions of years, he finally reached the summit. Becoming a Sovereign Paragon. Longing for the world he left countless years ago, he finally returns to his own world. Author's Note: This story is different from other wuxia novels. If those novels focus on characters that struggle from the bottom and reach the top, this story is one where someone already reached the top. I figured it would be interesting to start a novel from this concept so I started it. Well, however this plays through, just like how I finished my previous novel, Doll's Smile, I'll finish this novel too. Of course, I'm writing this novel just for fun. I like to write lighthearted novels like this. Novels that I would read while listening to music and eating snacks on a pleasant and relaxing afternoon. Do forgive me if I'm slow in writing.
