《Gone Before Raine (Interracial-Bwwm)》Chapter 1

Rain. That's all the citizens of Hounslow had ever known. It rained at every moment possible. The little droplets of water fell continuously from the condensed white clouds. The sky had turned from a bright Tiffany blue to a grey washed out water color. With the rain came a feeling of dread, sorrow, and misery.
Sawyer Raine Forests, known to her friends as Raine knew this weather all too well. She lived in the town of Hounslow from the moment she had just learned to walk. Raine watched the raindrops belt against the glass window she rested her head on. She lifted her finger and placed it on the nice cool glass. Her breath fogged the window, creating a lawyer that separated her from the view of the outside world.
"You okay?" Raine turned her attention away from the window to the person seated next to her. She nods, tucking a loose curl behind her ear. Her dark brown eyes glistened, reflecting the dim colors around her.
"Yeah, I'm just...." She trails off, trying to find some excuse for her day dreaming. " I'm excited for the trip." She lied, forcing a smile to her face.
Daryl, who had asked her the question, brushed off her lie. He knew she was simply day dreaming, as always. However he was concerned about how much she had distanced herself from the others. Raine watched as he went back to engaging in a conversation with the others.
The trip Raine was talking about was something that she was against 100%. What was fun about going on a trip with someone you did not like and someone you were not that really close too? She saw no point in it, but once again, against her will she was dragged into coming along. The trip was just a suppose to be a getaway, it was only three days long. Raine lets out a sigh, observing everyone in the vehicle.

The driver of the car was George. Ugh, the name brought a sour rancid taste to Raine's mouth. As you could tell, she hated him. She hated him from the very first day she met him. The only reason why she hung around the male was because he was dating her best friend, Cherry.
George was a large male, he towered over Raine's 5"4 frame. He was extremely dark in complexion with strong defined features. His jawline was to die for, that she'd give to him. George did not have a full blown beard, but he did have small little dark stumbles from shaving. His eyes were just a plain dark brown that constantly held a lethal gaze. Whenever he would stare at Raine, she would get uncomfortable and turn away.
Raine averted her gaze to Cherry, her best friend. Cherry was too busy painting her finger nails to even realize that Raine was watching her. Cherry was very much like her name. The girl was always red. You start a conversation with her and she would turn as bright as a cherry tomato. Her hair flowed freely down her back, in what resembled a waterfall of red wine. Sometimes Raine would be envious of Cherry's hair. It seemed like she acquired her styles with little effort. Raine, on the other hand constantly had to wake up early to spend hours on her hair.
Raine looked away from Cherry to Daryl, seated next to her. Daryl was quite the character. He was always talking, he never knew when to stop. Half the time people would just nod along to what he was saying just so he would stop talking. His dark blue eyes would glow whenever he began to tell one of his stories. On top of his head sat a mop of curly black hair. He use to be a blonde but decided that was to dull for him and dyed it black.

Seated next to Daryl was Ebony. Raine had not known much about the older girl. All she knew was that she was from the same youth group as Daryl. He insisted that she tagged along with them on the trip. Ebony pushed her long dreads over her shoulder, looking up to meet Raine's gaze. She raised a brow causing Raine to look away.
"Looks like we are here." George announces turning onto a steep dirt path. The car jolted left and right, rattling everyone inside.
"Be careful!" Cherry shouted when her head slammed against the car window. she rubbed the spot that collided with the glass, wincing slightly. George rolled his eyes, glancing over at her, he was the least bit concerned.
"You try driving on this road then." He offered her. Cherry sucked her teeth then looked out the window in annoyance. Raine frowned, sitting up in her seat.
"George's a terrible driver." Daryl whispered to her. Raine looks to him, giggling softly as he smirked at her. Finally the car came to a stop.
"Oh sweet baby jesus, ground!" Daryl basically climbed over Raine to jump out of the car.
