"Alrighty, Miss Davis." The wedding coordinator closed her binder with a soft slap as her dazzling smile almost blinded me, "Now that we have an idea of what kind of wedding your looking forward to, we can get into the finer details.. and budget." She gave Dion a knowing look as he sat beside me with wide stressed filled eyes.

"What's the finer details?" He looked at the decoration photos and color schemes littered across the table as his hand moved to my thigh, he squeezed it gently.

"Well, We still need to figure out your color scheme, table decorations, time, location, events, schedule, whether u have any traditions, the cake, the dress.." She continues to list options as she counted on her fingers before Dion put his hand up, "Aight.. Let's start wit a lil this session.. My brain already hurt." He mumbled the end and I couldn't help my giggle.

"I love the traditional white but I'm big on the natural and floral aesthetic.. So I think White, A soft green, and gold." I pick three colors from the pile and line them up side by side. Dion nods his head in approval, "Yeah.. You look so good in green." I couldn't help the warmth in my cheeks as the our coordinator, Ms.Bates, laughed.

"How about a stage filled with flowers? The guest have an amazing view and we can get white roses to match the soft pastel green you chose." She pushes a picture of a clear glass stage full of pink roses towards us and I gasp softly,"That's literally amazing!" I look to Dion who had a soft smile on his face, "Think we can add some gold touches inside?" He looks to her as she nods, "Absolutely. And later in the night it can be used for your first dance or the live music, which I know you said is mandatory." She gives us another blinding smile as Dion nods his head, smiling a bit more in contentment.

His thumb gently rubbed my thigh as he scanned the table, "A live band, fresh food, a bar, and no kids." He listed his mandatory requirements and I nodded my head in agreement.

"Yup! And my only mandatory is that it fits twenty people." I chime in and she laughs softly, "I can certainly give you a venue that can fit over two hundred.. you don't need to limit yourself." She pushes a large banquet hall towards me and I shake my head, "No.. I want my money spent on a beautiful memory with the people I love. Twenty is all I want." I grab a picture of a beautiful courtyard and garden, decked out in natural plants and fairy lights.

She nods her head slowly before putting away most of the pictures she had for venue options, which all looked overly expensive and over used. I could have sworn I'd seen celebrities get married at at-least three of the locations, "Well... I would describe your theme as very natural.. and fairy tale like." She smiles hard again, this time it didn't meet her eyes. I match it, "Yes.. I would want my special day to be magical.. and a core memory.. Right, babe?" I look to Dion who quickly nodded his head in agreement.

"Anything you want, my love." He presses a kiss to my temple before looking back at the table, he seemed a bit lost as he randomly picked up photos and set them back down. My eyes followed his fingers as Ms.Bates started droning on about why expensive can be better and to keep the other venues in mind. I did my best to keep up as my eyes looked at the messy table. I tried to copy Dion, picking up photos I liked and making a small pile to the side but even that was aggravating as she had a story for each photo and tried to push some into my pile.

Dion quickly caught on as my leg began bouncing. His hand moved around my shoulder as he tucked me into his side, "Wait." He snapped at Ms.Bates, making her eyes widen and her mouth still. I could feel their eyes on me as I tried to sit up straighter, "I know this is probably overwhelming.. Let's go through your pile and then mine. It'll make it more organized and Ms.Bates can start putting the things we don't want away." He pushed the extra photos away to make room for our piles before looking at our coordinator who quickly nodded her head.

"It's the least she can do since doin her job is a lil too fuckin hard for her right now." He tossed the venues I said no to on the table as my eyes widened. Her jaw dropped but she quickly composed herself, "My apologies.. I just wanted to make sure Jocelyn gets the wedding she deserves.. Better than any celebrity she knows." She sends me a strange smile and I look to Dion who frowns, "Then listen to what she wants and stop tryna put lame ass suggestions in her pile. She wants a natural look and you put a skyscraper balcony?" He shook his head angrily as her face began to turn red.

"I'm keeping all options open! That's all! If you want then I'll sit here and let you both do as you please." She snaps before sitting with her arms crossed. "Good. You'll be way more useful.. Go ahead, baby." He rubbed my arm gently as I nervously looked between them, "O-Okay.." I mumble softly and let him soothe me.

I took a deep breath in before counting to five and letting it go slowly. His hand moved to wrap around mine and I gave him a small smile, "Yeah.. I think that's much better." I made sure to pay Ms.Bates no mind as we began working through our piles.

I was worried Dion wouldn't get what he wanted either but was pleasantly surprised he loved my theme and had picked out his pictures that matched it perfectly. My favorite idea of his had to be the table decorations and personalized wine glasses.

Two hours had passed quickly as we damn near planned the whole wedding. Ms.Bates was the only one not smiling as almost all her ideas were shot down and we accidentally ignored her suggestions since she wasn't a big fan of our theme.

"Alright!" She cut us off as she snapped her binder shut, "I'll get into more research on your special little theme and have a better selection for our next meeting." She stands up from the table and we do the same. Dion gave her a firm handshake, "No need. We'll be finding someone more qualified." He gives her a charming smile as her down falls before grabbing our jackets and pulling me out the room.

I held his hand tight as he led us down the hall towards the exit, "Man.. she was on some bullshit the whole time, bruh." I couldn't help my laugh, "Yeah.. she seemed upset at our ideas.." He slowed his steps as he let me walk beside him, "I wanted to say sum but I know how bad you wanted to work with her. Man, I should get paid the way I took over." He shook his head as I nodded mine.

It was snowing as we walked outside, making me frown as he stopped me in my tracks, "Nah. C'mere." He untucked my coat from his arm before holding it open, letting me slide my arms into the holes. He zipped it up quickly, making me laugh, "A little snow won't kill me." He shakes his head, "You're always cold. The second the air conditioning turn on, you crying bout your toes being numb," he slipped his own coat on before zipping it up tight, "And hold my hand so your fingers stay warm." He didn't wait for me to respond as he grasped my hand and began walking.

I couldn't help my laugh at his anger. He wasn't wrong even a little bit. "Okay then let's run to the car and go home." I speed into a little jog and watch him roll his eyes, "You're jogging and I'm speed walkin.. If I run, your feet leavin the ground." I pout as I go back to walking, ignoring how I actually have to speed walk to keep up with his long steps.

"Well stop walking so wide and I'll keep up better!" I snap back and he scoffs, "I'm not walkin wide. My shit normal length." He looks down at our steps and I pout harder, "Three of my steps is one of yours!" He frowns deeply, "Damn.. You in heels." He mumbled and stops walking, "Yes I am so let's hurry before snow gets in them." I pout and he shakes his head before reaches down and picks me up, my legs instantly wrapping around his waist.

I squeal as I cling to him, "I-I can walk, Bae." I mumble softly as his hands squeezed my thighs, "Nah. We almost there anyway." He continued on with our walk and I had to admit it was nice not having to do any work. I also have to admit that he was much faster than I thought. It wasn't even two minutes later that he was setting me down into the car and running around to the other end.

I pushed the start button before cranking the heat up, smiling as I pressed my fingers to the vent. Dion opened the driver door before peeking in, "Keep them fingers on the damn vent." He snaps before hesitantly sitting down.

"You're lucky I feel like being nice today." I look towards his lap, "Or id grabbed more than your tushie." His lips moved up in a sly smile, "These windows tinted.. You don't gotta be nice." His hand moved across the seat to rest on my thigh. I couldn't help my own smile, "Take us home and I'll think about it." I laugh softly and watch him pout and start our drive home, mumbling about me teasing him all the time.

"But in all seriousness, babe." I spoke up after a moment and get his attention, "What's wrong?" He peeked at me for a moment before focusing back on the road. My stomach flipped nervously, "I don't want my baby bump to show during the wedding.. I just wanna still look like.. me." I mumble softly and we sit in silence for a moment.

I peeked over at his face and he didn't seem angry, just deep in thought. He hummed softly after a minute, "Okay.. A spring wedding it is. Works better than the fall since you want natural stuff anyway." His shoulders shrugged and I looked at him slightly wide eyed, "You're okay with it? I just don't want us to rush anything.. or you to feel like I'm just trying to get it over with or something.. I don't know." I turned to face my window, my hands moving to hug myself.

He was quiet again, making my stomach sink lower.

"Why would I think that? If I could, I would drive straight to a chapel and get married right now." He reached over and grabbed my chin, making me face him, "I promise, I'm happy to marry you at any moment, my love." A small smile lifted on my lips as I leaned in and pressed a soft kiss to his lips, "Okay.. I feel better now." He chuckles softly before turning back to the road.

"Now stop poutin' so we can keep planning this wedding. We doin it on our own." He moved my knees to face him again, making me laugh as I gently held his hand in mine, "Do I have a budget?" I look up at him as he shakes his head, "You ain't never have a budget before and never will. Go head and get what you want, baby." I could barely cover up my squeal as I picked up my phone snd immediately started working.
