DION POV:
The morning had started off slow with no action. My targets had disappeared for a while and I couldn't help but feel angry with myself. I could have spent more time with Lyn if I had known it would be so damn slow.
She had her lil friend date this morning anyway.
I couldn't help the pout on my lips as I grew jealous. If I hadn't taken this job I'd be home with my baby every morning and have her in my arms the whole day.
Shit it should be me and her on these dates instead.
I shake my head and go back to my mission, focusing on my targets building as people blurred by me from my spot on the sidewalk. Each body felt invisible as I trained my eyes on the front door of the large office building. The doors slowly swung open, a familiar face walking out as he talked on the phone. "Huang." I mumble softly as I pull out my phone to record the time and take pictures of his car as he climbs in. I pretend to be on the phone as I lean against the wall, watching the familiar bight red hair make it's way onto the scene.
Her eyes scanned over the area repeatedly until she decided to quickly sit down in the car. I sigh softly and move to leave until her eyes catch mine from her rolled down window, "Gotcha." She mouths and I couldn't help my own smirk as I stand up fully, "This time." I sign to her and I watch as she chuckles softly and rolls her window back up, a dangerous glint in her eyes.
I couldn't even be mad.
I wanted to be spotted.
That was the fun in the whole game we were playing. I chase and they run. She protects and I attack...
And this game won't stop until I win.
I put my phone in my pocket and watch the car take slowly off down the street, "Bitch." I chuckle to myself before loud bang breaks the air. I duck and hear a bullet hit the building behind me. I look back at the little hole in the brick wall before whipping my head back at the car picking up speed down the street.
People screamed as they ran into buildings but excitement coursed through my veins. I hate to admit how much I missed this work.
I rush over to my bike and snap on my helmet, "You can't run, hoe." I rev up the engine and take off after them, dodging the cars that frantically tried to get away from the shooting. Every second on the asphalt became more and more dangerous as I picked up speed, heading dead towards the car. The window rolled down as a black gun barrel pointed back at me, "Fuck off!" The red head screamed and I couldn't contain my laughter as I ducked and weave between cars, making it Damn near impossible to shoot me. I listened as a car lost traction and swerved wildly into my targets car, denting the side.

The body guard falls back into the car and I don't miss my chance as I speed up and grasp onto the car door handle. I pull myself closer and look inside.
Her eyes widened as I pulled up to the window, "Gotcha." I tease and watch her snarl before shooting at me but I smack her wrist up, sending the bullet through the roof. The car went crazy as it swerved wildly down the street, "Fuck!" I yell as my head almost gets taken off by a street sign.
Hard knuckles connected with my hand that was attached to the car door. I yell at the pain and grab the redhead by her shirt, attempting to drag her out, "You mines now !" Half her body was out the car and I could feel success in my fingertips until she wrapped her arms around my waist, "Nah!" She yelled before yanking back, ripping me clean off my bike, "Oh fuck!" My fingers desperately gripped onto the side of the car as my feet struggled to stay off the asphalt.
"Shàngdì, qǐng jiù wǒ!" (Lord please save me), Huang yelled from beside her as he crawled to the car floor, covering his head with his arm. Fist connected with my chest and arms repeatedly as she fought hard to fight me off but I matched her energy, aiming my fists at her face and chest, "Take da helmet off cheater!" She yells and I couldn't help my laugh until her hands wrapped around my neck, squeezing hard. I gasp for air as I wrap my own hands around her neck, making her squeeze harder.
Our eyes locked for a moment. Each challenging the other to make the next move.
The world slowly began to go blurry and I could tell her own world was fading as her face began to turn more and more red. "Fuck!" I choke out and I let go, my hand flying onto my belt. Matte black felt cool on my hands as I aimed my gun and shot twice. Her grip on me fell and for a second I felt completely weightless. The car zoomed past me as my back connected to the asphalt below me. My body rolled and tumbled until I hit the side of a car.
My body screamed as I gasped to catch my breath.
"Oh my God!" A woman screamed as she ran up to me and started shaking me, "I think he's dead!" She screamed towards everyone on the sidewalk and I curse before sitting up, "I'm fine!" I yell and she turned red from embarrassment, "B-But that car was flying and u just rolled like thirty feet!" She moves to grab me but I move my arm away before slowly standing up, "It's New York.. I'm built tough." I roll my aching shoulders and watch as she steps back, "O-Okay.. But I can call an ambulance-" I didn't listen to what else she had to say as I began making my way down the sidewalk.

I could have killed her.
I should have.
I think if the bright red haired woman as her hands gripped my neck, that sparkle in her eye when she thought she won.
Was it sadistic of me to want to crush that look on her face again? To watch her life flash before her eyes as they locked onto the gun?
I smile under my helmet.
Atleast one target is gone.
I chuckle softly and make my way to my bike that laid in the middle of the road. People cursed and screamed as I finally came back for it, "Asshole! I should have took it!" A man screamed from his car. I take my time to climb on the bike and look to him before slowly lifting up my shirt, "I'll take your life." Our eyes locked and I could see the color drain from his dumbass face. Nobody said anything as I revved up my engine again and drove off down the road.
My mind was feeling as adrenaline rushed through my veins.
I felt alive.
I didn't even realize my speed kept increasing more and more until screams from people and horns honked wildly around me but it was nothing compared to the heart beat in my ears. I wanted to go faster..I want to test the limits of everything around me.
Is the bike going to crash? Will the cops chase me?
Will all those years of karma finally kill me?
But something in the back of my head made me hesitate.
Jocelyn.
I could just imagine her screaming at me to slow down and cutely pouting as she scolded to me the danger of motorcycles and somehow link it all back to some kind of weird ass germ. "Do you know how many germs you can get from the air alone? Now imagine it you fell and got a cut?!"Her face as she dramatically shook her head.
I slowly sped down I let my adrenaline lower. A groan left my lips as fatigue and pain took its place. My body was definitely bruised and I damn near broke a rib from that car fall.
The familiar building came into but I couldn't feel relief.
How am I gonna explain my beat up ass to Jocelyn?
I park my motorcycle outside and climb off before making my way in, "I saved a old lady from a burning building.. Nah Iont even like old people.." I shake my head and click the elevator button, "A homeless man got angry and tries to fight and his homies pulled up.. Nah I'd win.." The doors open with a soft ring and I step on.
A man steps off and I don't miss how he eyed my bruised up and dirtied look. "Fuck you lookin at?" I snap and he doesn't respond as he quickly steps off. I slam my finger onto my floor button and watch the elevator close and begin to rise.
My mind was buzzing and thrumming as I struggled to produce a singe coherent thought, "That helmet ain't do shit.." I mumble and lean my head back as I felt my headache get worse. The familiar ding made me sit up straight again and step off, slowly dragging my body down the hall to the familiar door.
I quickly opened the door and made my way inside, more than happy to be back in my own home. "Jocelyn!" I call out and smile as I hear her giggle from our bedroom, "Dion!" She calls back and I move as quick as I can to her.
Her eyes caught mine as I stuck my head through the doorway, "Hey baby." I give her a small smile and watch her jump up from the bed, more than happily to fling her whole body onto mine. It took everything in my body not to groan as I catch her and hold her tightly against me, stuffing my face into her neck, "I missed you so much today.." Her soft giggle made my body relax as she moved her fingers to my hair, "I missed you more.. I feel like we barely spend time together now.." I could imagine the pout on her cute lips as I held her closer, "I can take off tomorrow and we can have some fun. That sound nice?" I pull away slowly and watch her nod her head quickly, I catch how her eyes look glassy.
"Awe you miss me that much, love?" I coo softly and watch her sniffle a little, her nose turning red, "Yeah.. You're gone in the mornings and come home late.. I just get lonely.." My chest felt tight as I pulled her face into my chest as I presses kisses to her head, "That's it. I'm never leaving the house again! Me and my baby are going to be stuck together until we are skin and bones!" I fake cry and listen to her laughs as she peeks up at me, "U-Until we are dust! And then our ghosts can be together too!" Her burst of giggles made me laugh as I nodded my head, "We ain't ever breaking up." I lock my eyes on hers and she does the same, "Never ever."

Once Trace returns, she finds that the planet too is left scarred by this encounter, now filled with Dungeons packed with monsters and Gates that lead to the multiverse. 8 84Death Lives
When the universe is destroyed the avatar of death is reborn.Once an all powerful being but limited in scope, Death now has a chance to learn and grow.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------This is my first novel, please be critical of it where it needs to be. I'm not sure if there will be romance in the future. It is unlikely for the MC but perhaps I will have meaningful relationships between side characters that will be worth adding the tag.The Mature tag is simply because there will be killing, descriptive scenes, and more. There will be no described rape at all in my story, anything of the like will be merely alluded to but not talked about in any matter if at all. Please enjoy and thank you.
