"Jesus, this food is so disgusting." Sydney cried, poking her salisbury steak with her plastic fork.

The ladies were on their lunch period and the cafeteria was packed. Third lunch was always packed since that's when most of the seniors had it. Blu and Sydney being one of the many seniors that had that period.

"Real ass bitch, give a fuck bout a nigga! Big birkin bag, hood five, six figures!"

Blu head turned once she heard that stupid song Act Up by City Girls started playing and many of the girls sung along. She shook her head, getting annoyed by the song. It was annoying to her since that's all she heard on a daily. Plus, she wasn't a big fan of new school, but prefer old school.

Old school was all her mom played when she carried Blu, so it wasn't a surprise when she came out listening to it as well.

"That's my shit!" Sydney exclaimed, she frown a little nothing Blu shaking her head.

"And what's the problem, Blu? Whatchu don't like City Girls cause they don't talk about liking dudes for their personality?" Sydney remarked, finding it funny.

Blu raise her brow at her, "If you as a woman think that just wanting a dude for his dick is cool, then that's you boo." Blu retorted and Sydney groaned, rolling her eyes.

At times her friend could be a buzzkill and right now she was.

"Whatever Blu, it's just a song, so it's not serious."

Blu shrugged her shoulders, not caring. That was her opinion and she wasn't going to change it. The girls kept singing the song, Blu going on her phone tuning them out. Sydney push her tray away from her since she wasn't hungry anymore.

Looking up, she seen four guys from the football team walking over to them.

"Oooh..." she dragged, repeatedly hitting Blu hand.

"Can you stop." Blu told her, Sydney roll her eyes.

"Girl relax, the boys are coming over. I need to look cute." Blu watched as Sydney unbutton her sweater a little and fixed her bra, so her boobs were showing a little.

Blu scrunched up her face at the act. She was about to mention it, but was interrupted when the boys came over.

"Wassup y'all." One said as all of them took a seat on the table.

"Hey, boo!" Sydney dragged looking at all the boys. Blu mentally roll her eyes at her friend.

Sometimes she questions why she changed the way she act when she was around boys.

"Y'all ladies looking pretty as fuck, especially you beautiful." Mario complimented, flicking Sydney chin. She let out a giggle, Blu shaking her head.

"Your name Blu right?" David asked looking at Blu, she glance over at him then back at her phone.

"Yeah, that's my name." She answered, nonchalant.

"It's a cute name, I never heard someone named that before. I seen you at the game, your really pretty." He told her, licking over his lips.

Blu roll her eyes, standing up and grabbing her tray. David got up as well and follow behind her as she walked to the trash. She put her trash in the trashcan then placed her tray down. Turning around, she frown seeing David right there.

"What do you need?" She asked, crossing her arms.

"I just wanna talk to you." He told her, putting his hands in his front pockets.

"Why?"

"Because your really pretty and you seem cool. I also heard your sister talk about you and I was curious as to who you was." He answered, Blu slowly nodded her head.

"Right, but there's plenty of other girls here that you could talk to. Why choose me?" She asked testing him.

She already knew he was only talking to her cause he probably wanted to fuck. They also couldn't be his intentions, but she wasn't taking any chances. Especially not with a football player.

"Like I said, your really pretty and you seem cool and I wanna get to know you. Look..." he paused reaching his pocket taking out a crumpled piece of paper. "...here's my number and text me." he continued handing her the paper.

She tuck in her lips, nodding her head watching him walk off. The bell run indicating lunch was over. Blu threw the piece of paper in the trash then walked back to the table.

Jahseh tapped the eraser part of his pencil on his paper. His lips were tucked in as he just stared at his test he finished a few minutes ago. He wasn't even worrying about his test anymore since he had a lot of his mind. And one thing on his mind was apologizing to Blu.

He glance over at Blu who was doing her test. He didn't want to bother her, but he wanted to apologize badly. He didn't like the fact that he yelled at her even though she was just trying to help. His emotions had taken over him and he was so angry that night.

The disrespect towards him and his brother wasn't taken lightly. And what made him even more pissed off is his dad not doing anything about it. Apollo called it 'trash talk' but how does talking about the dead trash talk. Even when they got home, him and his dad got into an argument over it. Apollo steady trying to justify what the boy said and Jahseh wasn't talking it.

He hated how nonchalant his dad was towards everything. It was like he didn't even care about someone talking bad on his dead son.

"Blu." He whispered trying to get her attention. He glance up making sure Mr. Brown wasn't paying attention.

"Blu." He whispered again and she slowly look over at him.

"What?" She asked aggressively.

Jahseh smack his lips, "No need to be aggressive." He told her and she roll her eyes, turning back around.

"Blu." He whispered again, she sigh looking back at him.

"Jahseh, what the hell do you want?" She asked, aggressively again.

"I wanted to apologize for Friday. I'm sorry for yelling at you." He apologized and she roll her eyes.

"I'm not worrying about that, it is what is it." She muttered and he sigh lowly.

"It's not though and I'm sorry again. I didn't mean to yell at you." He apologized again.

She didn't reply since the bell rung. He watched as she got up and gathered her things. He sigh doing the same as Mr. Brown collect the tests. He put his bag on his back then walked up to Mr. Brown.

"Ahh, Jahseh, I seen your game Friday. You did good." Mr. Brown told him as Jahseh handed him his test.

"Yeah, thanks." Jahseh trailed off seeing Blu walk out the class. Before Mr. Brown could talk again, Jahseh walked right out the class.

"Blu!" He called out her name, jogging up to her. He approached her and started walking beside her.

"Blu, I don't want you to think I'm just saying sorry just because. I actually mean it seriously." He told her as they walk to her locker.

"I really don't care." She said nonchalant, opening her locker.

"Well, you should because what I did was messed up. I was just mad about something."

"Mad about what?" She asked, slamming her locker shut and looking at him. "Y'all won the game."

"I know, I was mad about something the other team said." He told her, not wanting to put his business out there.

"If a little trash talk made you that mad then I don't think you should play football." She remarked and he smack his lips.

"It wasn't trash talk." He raised his voice a little, Blu raising her brow.

"It was something personal." He told her, calming himself down.

"Okay, fine whatever Jahseh, I accept your apology. Now, are we done cause remember we're not cool?" She remarked and he sigh lowly.

"Yeah, we're cool." He mumbled and she walked off. He watched her then let out another sigh.
