"you okay?" Blu asked, looking at Jahseh who was sitting in front of him.
Jahseh rub the crust out his eyes then finally look up. Once again, he didn't get much sleep because of his dad. He was up late working out in order to get back in shape. The workout was intense, tiring and maybe once or twice Jahseh threw up because of it. Sleep was the only thing he's wanting to do now.
"Yeah, I'm fine." He muttered lowly, but Blu was still able to hear him.
"You sure? If you need to take a rest, you can." She told him, he shook his head going back to work.
They were doing their project in Mr. Brown class and he didn't want to be the reason they got a bad grade. Even though, a nap would be nice at the moment.
"Well, you look really tired. Did you get enough sleep last night?" She asked him.
"Nah, but I'm fine though. I just need to take an after school nap and I'll be good." He answered, Blu shook her head chuckling a little.
"It looks like you need about a week to catch up on sleep not just an afternoon. If you wanna take a break and sleep, you can do that."
"I'm fine."
She nodded her head and they both went back to doing their work. Blu felt her phone vibrate in between her legs and she look at her phone.
From Britt🙄:
Blu are you and Jahseh
done y'all work?
To Britt🙄:
why?
From Britt🙄:
because I asked stop
being difficult and
answer
Blu roll her eyes, locking her phone and putting it underneath her thigh. Brittney was the definition of doing the most.
"So, is your dad in the military?" Jahseh questioned out of nowhere.
Blu look back at him, "Yeah." She answered and he nodded his head.
"Why'd you ask?"
He shrugged his shoulders, "No reason, I was just curious. So, how long have it been since you seen him?" He asked.
"Uhh, it's been five years. He gets deployed to different countries like crazy, so it's been a while since I seen him. Whatchu thinking about going into the military?" She asked him.
"Nah, I can't do that since my attitude is terrible."

"Well, the military will fix that up."
"Yeah, I just don't want to. I was just asking though since I was curious." He told her, Blu slowly nodded her head staring at him.
She felt as though it was more to it, but she didn't question it. They went back to doing their work when the classroom door opened, the whole class turning their heads.
"Yo, they fighting out here!" A boy shouted. Everyone in the class quickly got out and ran out the room wanting to see the fight.
Mr. Brown right with them trying to get his students back to class. The classroom was now empty besides Jahseh and Blu who was sitting in their seat. They both turned to look at each other.
"Your not going to go?" Blu asked him and he shook his head.
"I'm too sore to get up. You not?" He asked and she shook her head as well.
"Not really my business. Even though, watching a fight would be a nice distraction." She said, shrugging her shoulders.
"Plus, I don't wanna leave you here by yourself." She added.
"Why are you so-"
"Nice?" She finished his sentence, already knowing what he was going to ask. She got asked that a lot in her old school. It was like they were expecting her to be rude and nasty to people.
She wasn't her sister whatsoever.
"Yeah, why are you so nice? We don't know each other."
"We don't have to know each other for me to be nice. I'm just a nice person in general unless someone does something fucked up to me. But, that rarely happens." She answered.
"Maybe if you wasn't so mean then you can be like me." She added, smiling at him.
Jahseh shook his head, "I'm not mean, I just don't like talking to people." He answered, Blu rolling her eyes.
"But, your talking to me and I'm a person, so your kinda contradicting yourself." She remarked, Jahseh hummed a little resisting himself from saying anything smart back.
He noticed she had a smart mouth, a very smart mouth.
"Hmm, anyway I'll be back. I'm going to go see what happened." She said getting up then walking away.
Jahseh shook his head, leaning back in his seat.

Tootie played with Jahseh chain as she sat on his lap. He look down at her, shaking his head then going back to his work. It was never a day go by that Tootie wasn't up on him. Miracle, AKA Tootie, was Jahseh younger sister.

She was four years old and a very smart girl. Like her name, Tootie was a miracle. After Jahseh was born, it was said that their mother couldn't have anymore children after that. So, when their mom ended up pregnant some years later with Miracle, it was well a miracle.
It caught the family off guard just like their mom sudden drug addiction. Since Tootie was born, she was closer to Jahseh even though he didn't really like her. He didn't like the thought of having another sibling, a sister at that. Eventually, Tootie grew on him and now they were inseparable.
Kelly barged in his room causing him to quickly look back. The tall, light skin woman, peeked in the room and Jahseh tuck in his lips.
"What do you want?" He asked, aggressively since she didn't say anything.
"Where that little girl at?" Kelly asked, Tootie peeking out from Jahseh arm.
"Let's go little girl, you have daycare tomorrow so you need to be in bed." Kelly told her.
"No." Tootie answered, Kelly flaring her nostrils.
"Little girl, I don't have time for your shit. Now, get ya ass up and let's go." She repeated herself, trying to make her voice scary.
"I said no!" Tootie raised her voice, gripping onto Jahseh shirt.
"I will beat you-"
"No you won't." Jahseh cut Kelly off and she look at him.
"Yes, the hell I will beat her. Just cause your mom decided to be a bum, doesn't mean shit. If she living in my house, I get to put my hands on her."
"Now, you talking crazy mentioning my mom. If you don't want to be thrown down those stairs, I advise you to go ahead somewhere cause if I hit you I will kill you." Jahseh threatened her, his mood instantly changing the moment she mentioned his mom.
Kelly roll her eyes, "I can't wait for your dad to come back, so I can tell him how disrespectful you are. And y'all nasty connection." She remarked before slamming the door shut behind her.
Jahseh shook his head, he look down at Tootie seeing she was looking at him.
"When is mommy coming back?" She asked, Jahseh sigh lowly.
"She'll be back soon, but let's lay down." He told her, helping her off his lap.
He stood up, stretching as Tootie ran over to his bed. She struggled climbing on it, but finally got it. Walking to his bed, Jahseh laid down next to her as she got underneath the covers.
"What story you wanna hear tonight?" He asked, she started humming thinking of something.
"Can you tell me about Prince Jason?" She asked and Jahseh nodded his head.
"Okay, well once upon a time there lived this king and queen. And that king and queen had a son and his name was Prince Jason. Jason was really, really tall and buff looking, he had a lot of muscles."
"Was he tall like a giant?" Tootie asked and he nodded his head.
"Yeah, he was tall like a giant. So, one day Jason parents ended up having a baby and his name was Prince Jahseh."
"You."
Jahseh nodded his head, "Yeah, me. So, Jason and Jahseh were co close to each other. They did everything with each other. And sometimes they would sneak out the kingdom just so they can ride around on their horse and have fun. But, one night when they decided to sneak off a big, tall and mean monster came and it wanted to fight us." He told her.
"Why did it want to fight the princes?" Tootie asked, Jahseh shrugged his shoulders.
"No one knows, but it did and he had a friend right along with him. So, both of the monsters started to pick on us and Jason wasn't having that. So, he went and fought for the both of us."
"Did he win?" Jahseh tuck in his lips, lowering his head a little.
"Umm, yeah, he did win." He told her, clearing his throat afterwards. The last thing he wanted to do was cry in front of his sister.
"He's at this special place that princes go after they defeat a big monster. And one day your going to see him again." He told her, pushing her hair back.
"You promise?" She asked, sticking out her little pinky. Jahseh smirk, connecting his pinky with hers.
"I promise."
