Days later...

"Daloni say cheese, show your teeth." Heaven chuckled, squatting down to his level. Daloni mugged the camera, crossing his arms over his chest. He tired of pictures.

"Vae won't let me play on it." Daloni pouted, pointing to Nevaeh playing on her iPad.

"Papa stop whining. Now smile for your picture. Today is a special day and it's all about you." Heaven replied, brushing any piece of lint she saw off of Daloni's clothes.

"Cheeeee." Daloni smiled, showing his small white teeth. Heaven snapped a couple pictures, saving them for later.

Today was the big day for Daloni. They were at the hospital for Daloni's ringing of the bell. He had already had his last treatment, and Dr. Grey had already ran his test. The whole pediatric staff joined the family for the special celebration.

Heaven had dressed Nevaeh up in a pretty white dress and small wedge heels. Daloni had on a nice tailored navy blue suit, and she had on casual blue dress that stopped just below her thighs.

"Mommy, my daddy is calling." Nevaeh announced, showing Heaven her phone. Heaven unblocked herself from Zylin's phone the night of the shooting, and now she able to receive all of his calls again.

Heaven took the phone and answered the FaceTime call. She slightly smiled, seeing Zylin licking his lips at her. The bullet that injured Zylin's neck didn't do any major damage. He was lucky that it didn't hit any arteries or veins. He did loose a lot of blood resulting in Solana giving two pints.

"Did he do it yet?" Zylin asked, trying to look all in Heaven's background. He hated that he couldn't be there for Daloni physically. This was the biggest milestone, and he wasn't happy that he had to watch it through a phone.

"I don't yike you!" Daloni mugged, bucking at Sharon who tried to hug him. Heaven looked up from her phone, squinting her eyes at Daloni who had his arms crossed over his chest.

"Lady my papa say no." Nevaeh mugged, picking Daloni up and setting him on her hip.

"Aye bad asses bring y'all ass back over here." Cane chuckled, laughing at Sharon's facial expression. Of course he couldn't miss Daloni's special milestone. He had gifted him a crate full of toy trucks and his first chain.

Heaven only shook her head, giggling. She didn't like Sharon either, so she wasn't phased by the lady's embarrassing facial expression.

"Jayda we miss you, it's not the same without you or Heaven." Dr. Grey admitted, standing next to both women with Daloni's test results.

"Aw, sometimes chapters in our lives close and it's time to start on something new. We're moving the hell out of Chicago." Jayda replied.

"We? As in both of y'all?" Dr. Grey asked.

"Yup. We were waiting on this day so papa could have a fresh start along with the rest of us." Heaven smiled. Heaven had told Jayda about her and the family possibly moving, and Jayda had got very upset.

Heaven was her best friend and Zylin was her godbrother. Jayda had sat down with her family and asked them how they would feel about moving, and surprisingly Anthony didn't care. However Angel was a little sad because she thought that if they moved her baby dolls would be taken away from her.

After Jayda explained to Angel that nothing would happen to her dolls, Angel gave in and was on board with moving with her parents.

"You better not, don't play with me Daloni." Heaven gritted, eyeing Daloni who was about to kick the wall.

"Are you guys ready?" Dr. Grey asked Heaven. When Heaven nodded her head, he cleared his throat to get everyone's attention.

"Good afternoon everyone. Today we're celebrating the last session of treatment for little Daloni Bridges. After multiple surgeries, intubations, and treatments I'm proud to announce that Daloni is now completely cancer-free."

Everyone cheered and clapped for the good news. Heaven adjusted Daloni on his hip with the biggest grin on her face. "Congratulations papa bear." She cooed.

"Everyone knows that it is a privilege to be in Daloni's good graces. I want to thank each staff member of mines who made sure Daloni was well taken care of. Heaven any words?"

"Yes." Heaven smiled. "Hi everyone, as you all know when I first started at this hospital Daloni was the first patient I became attached to. I've gotten in trouble for doing the right things for him, but it hasn't stopped me from making him my son, and still providing the best care for him."

"Even though some people here doubted my son's ability to fight this cancer, he proved them all wrong. I want to specially thank Jayda and Dr. Grey for always looking after him when I wasn't here. Anyways thank you all for being here, and thank you Chicago Med for providing my son with everything that he needed to be where he is today."

"Papa do you want to say anything?" Heaven asked Daloni.

"No ma'am!" Daloni shouted. Everyone laughed at Daloni's outburst. It wasn't new to them, and they were very aware of his stubborn ways.

"Well on the count of three, Daloni is able to ring that bell four times. Everyone count down with me." Dr. Grey said.

On the count of three Heaven smiled, nodding at Solana so that she could make sure she was recording. Nevaeh also held the camera up, so that Zylin could see everything.

"Shake the rope papa." Heaven instructed.

Daloni leaned over, grabbed the rope and shook the rope roughly. He rung it more than four times, but nobody stopped him because he deserved every single ring.

"Let's fucking go man!" Zylin's shouted, through his end of the phone excitedly.

"That's my papa!" Nevaeh cheesed, jumping up and down accidentally dropping the phone on the floor.

"Okay papa, you're going to break it." Heaven giggled, noticing Daloni's grip on the rope getting tighter almost yanking the rope off.

"Mommy that bell ring." Daloni pointed.

"Say I'm cancer-free." Heaven said, while tears cascaded down her face. She was overfilled with joy and excitement. She was so proud of the little fighter that Daloni was.

"I cancer free." Daloni nodded.

"She's finally getting some sleep." Heaven smiled, seeing Nevaeh sleep peacefully on Zylin's side. They were visiting Zylin, and as soon as Nevaeh saw her dad she cuddled into his arms and fell asleep.

Nevaeh didn't get any good sleep since the traumatizing night of seeing Zylin shot. She would have nightmares and night terrors, and Heaven had to literally rock her to get her to go to sleep.

"I called the counselor she used to go to when she was younger, but her waiting list is through the roof." Zylin sighed, rubbing Nevaeh's back.

Night Terrors were something that Nevaeh always had especially when she was abandoned by her biological mom. Counseling helped, but Zylin knew that it would take way more than monthly sessions.

"I was going to ask Solana's counselor, but if we're about to move to another state shouldn't we just look for one there?" Heaven replied.

"Yeah that's what I was thinking. They need to hurry up and let me go, I feel fine." Zylin said.

"Zylin you were shot in the neck, you lost tons of blood and you telling me you feel good as new?" Heaven asked.

"Hell yeah. That wasn't nothing foreal." Zylin shrugged. Zylin felt like he was perfectly fine to be discharged. He hated the fact that Nevaeh and the entire family was traumatized, but he was ready to move his family out of Chicago for good.

"Aye Soso when you gone cut my hair?" Zylin asked.

Solana frowned in confusion. "I don't cut hair, I only braid. Speaking of, some guys asked me to braid their hair. Is that okay with you guys?"

"Yes." Heaven nodded.

"No the hell it ain't." Zylin mugged. "She don't need to braid they nappy head ass hair. Tell they mamas to do it."

"Zylin you're being ridiculous. What's the problem with her braiding dudes hair? Their money is green just like ours." Heaven frowned.

"Because I don't need them getting the wrong idea. If she do it one time, then they broke ass gone keep coming back. Next thing you know they gone be trying to wife her. Hell nawl that ain't gone work." Zylin shook his head.

It was clear that Zylin became very overprotective of Solana. He wasn't ready for her to start dating anybody. In fact, he didn't trust a single boy with Solana.

"Solana if you're comfortable enough to do their hair, you can. Don't listen to this fool. Besides when we move, she gone be having more clientele so you need to get over it." Heaven stated, talking to Solana and Zylin.

"Well Zylin will you be mad at me? If so, I won't do it." Solana replied.

"Look So, I'm just looking out for you. I'm not gone stop you from making your bread or doing something you love. Just be careful, and if you decide to do a nigga hair make sure one of us there with you. I don't want to take any chances." Zylin sighed.

"Trust me, I don't think I'm ready for a relationship. Besides nobody is going to want me after my baggage." Solana mumbled.

"Baby don't say that." Heaven shook her head. "You're more than enough. Any boy will be lucky to have you. There's no rush in jumping into a relationship, but don't let your past determine your future."

"Angel we can buy you more toys when we get to our new house. We not gone be able to take everything." Jayda chuckled, watching Angel add all of her babydolls on top of each other.

"Mommy my babies." Angel frowned.

"You don't want new babies?" Jayda asked.

"Yo Jayda, what the hell is this?" Anthony asked, walking into his daughter's room.

Jayda looked up and saw Anthony holding the pregnancy test that she had took earlier. She rolled her eyes and turned her attention back to Angel.

"You pregnant?" Anthony asked.

"What it look like Ant. You're literally holding it." Jayda replied dryly.

"Why you ain't tell me?"

"Anthony I called you multiple times, and you've been out all day. I'm not about to chase you." Jayda shrugged. Even though they weren't a couple, Anthony and Jayda had an agreement that they were off limits to other people. Jayda kept up her end of the deal, but she wasn't so sure that Anthony kept his end.

"Chill I been out with Cane." Anthony sighed.

"You a lie, Cane been with Heaven and my brother for Daloni thing today." Jayda mugged.

"Daddy you got a boo-boo on your neck. I kiss it, and I make it better." Angel smiled, reaching to be picked up.

Jayda stood to her feet, and grabbed Anthony's neck. She roughly released it, seeing two hickeys. "No baby, you can't kiss daddy's boo-boo right now."

"Why not?" The little girl frowned.

"If you out here letting girls suck on your neck, I can only imagine what else you letting them do. Ant I'm not asking you to be here, if you gone talk to other girls leave me out the mix. I told you that I'm not gone be your pawn." Jayda fussed.

"Jayda you did this." Anthony lied.

"I don't give you fucking hickeys Anthony. That shit not even cute to walk around with!" Jayda snapped.

"Stop cussing around my daughter." Anthony groaned. "It was a mistake. I swear it won't happen again."

"Whatever Anthony. I'm so glad I got the new house in my name. You can stay right here and continue getting your little neck sucked on." Jayda bitterly chuckled.

"You think you about to take Angel away? Yeah you really lost it. Gone take a nap or something." Anthony scoffed.

"She damn sure ain't staying here. It ain't shit in Chicago. We great co-parents so we can just keep doing that." Jayda shrugged.

"No fighting guys." Angel pouted.

"You really think you gone take my daughter away?" Anthony mugged, stepping up to Jayda. His eyes turned black, and all he saw was anger.

"Get out of my face!" Jayda shouted, pushing Anthony away.

Anthony swung his hand back, and connected the backside of his palm with Jayda's face making a silent scream escape.

"Daddy don't hit mommy!" Angel screamed, stomping her feet and crossing her arms over her chest.

"Come here daddy baby." Anthony sighed, bending down to Angel's level. He couldn't believe that he had just put his hands on Jayda, but the thought of being away from Angel scared him. Angel was his world.

"You hit mommy, I sad." Angel pouted, walking towards Anthony with teary eyes.

"I'm sorry. It won't ever happen again. I was just upset, can you forgive me?"

"No." Angel shook her head, turning on her feet and running to Jayda who still held her face in shock.

"I'm sorry Jayda. I'll see y'all later." Anthony sighed, scratching his neck. He walked away to calm himself down.

"Mommy I'm tired." Angel mumbled, reaching her arms up to be picked up. Jayda picked her up, and rubbed her back to help her go to sleep.

Jayda wasn't about to put up with Anthony. She wasn't about to be a girl who fell into an abusive relationship. She knew she deserved more. She was so hurt that her best friend and babydaddy just disrespected her, but he was replaceable and she wasn't going to fall for it.

Jayda sat down on the floor with Angel in her lap, and rubbed her back softly. She was waiting patiently for Angel to go to sleep, so that they could leave. Without Anthony.

Jayda needed a fresh start and a new scenery. She was so happy that she had gotten the house in her name. Her and her daughter were on to a new journey, and even though Anthony was Angel's dad, Jayda wasn't going to let Angel become traumatized because of abuse. She believed that if he could hit her once, he could do it again.

Jayda's phone ringed, with Heaven's contact popping up. She answered on the second ring, clearing her throat. "Wassup Heav."

"Hey, what y'all doing?"

"Babygirl is going to sleep now. Heaven I may need to move sooner than you guys." Jayda responded.

"What's wrong?" Heaven frowned from her end of the phone. She could hear the shakiness in Jayda's voice and became concerned.

"Hea—Heaven he slapped me. In front of Angel. He found my pregnancy test and I caught him cheating. When I told him that I was taking Angel, he literally slapped me." Jayda explained, trying not to cry.

"I'm coming to get y'all what the fuck?!" Heaven shouted.

"Okay, but please hurry and don't tell my brother. He doesn't need any more stress." Jayda sniffled.

"Okay baby. Can I bring Cane?"

"Sure. Just hurry Heaven, I'm not trying to be here no more, and I can't get all of our stuff by myself." Jayda nodded.

"Alright stay on the phone with me. I'm about to be on my way. I love you."

"I love you too." Jayda nodded.
