《Heaven Warrior》thirty one

"Mommy hurt bad." Daloni cried, clutching his stomach. Daloni had woke Heaven crying at the top of his lungs. Heaven's eyes popped up running to his room.
"What's wrong papa?" She asked, turning his lights on and the ceiling fan, so that extra air would be circulating.
Daloni reached for Heaven, coughing through his cries. "Hurt bad."
Heaven used the hand sanitizer on his tall nightstand and applied some to her hands before picking him up. "C'mon let's go to mommy room." She said, putting him on her hip.
Nevaeh and Zylin were at their house, because him and Heaven had a argument. Heaven confronted him about everything that Cadence was saying, but Zylin just tried to brush the subject off.
"Point to where it hurts." She stated, scooting against her headboard, adjusting him in her lap.
Daloni pointed to his stomach and chest. Heaven nodded her head and laid him down beside her. She took one hand rubbing his chest while the other rubbed his stomach. Sometimes it eased the pain.
She watched Daloni's cries get a little softer while his eyes started getting heavy. She continued her routine for about five minutes.
"I love you." She whispered, kissing his forehead. She wasn't suprised when she looked down and saw him sleeping with his finger in his mouth.
She stayed up for about an hour to make sure he was breathing normal and that he didn't have any more episodes before she pulled him closer, dozing off.
Later that morning, Heaven woke up to see Daloni still in his same position. She quickly got up to do her morning hygiene before he woke up.
She used the bathroom and then turned her shower onto the hottest temperature. Looking in the mirror, she saw how bad her curls were tangled and sighed. "I need to do a hair mask." She mumbled.
She used her whitening toothpaste to brush her teeth and the colgate mouth wash. Listerine was way to strong for her likings, it felt like it was burning her gums off.
After brushing her teeth, she washed her face with a organic face scrub that was made with natural plants and herbs. Heaven only put organic or natural things on her face, never scented products.
Finally done with her face routine she stepped in the shower, smiling at the hot water soothing the tense muscles in her body. "Now this shit is heaven." She cheesed. Heaven always loved hygiene. She was a addict for it.
She started lathering her baby wash cloth with Dr. Bronner's peppermint soap. Dr. Bronner's or a good bar soap was always her go-to. It was her base in cleaning her body. She used baby wash cloths because they were more soother to her skin, rather than regular wash cloths.

Starting to lather her body, she started with her upper body as soon as she was about to move to her back, she heard a thud.
Quickly stepping out of the shower, not caring about the soap on her, she wrapped a towel around her body and ran to her room. Her heart dropped seeing Daloni on the floor seizing.
"Papa." She gasped, running to his side. She turned him on his side, and put a pillow under his head.
She grabbed her phone and immediately started the timer. She let his body go, so that he could finish the seizure out. She was trained to never hold a seizing person, always let them finish.
Around thirty seconds later, Daloni's cries filled the air, while blood oozed out of his mouth. That's when Heaven knew he had accidentally bit his tongue.
"I know papa." Heaven cooed, now cradling him. "We gotta get you to the doctor." She mumbled. She didn't know why he was having such a rough morning, but she wanted to be on the safe side and take him to the hospital.
She stood up with him her arms, and went to the bathroom to help him rinse his mouth out. Afterwards she quickly gave him a wipe down and put his hair in a messy ponytail.
Looking in the mirror the suds on her body were starting to disappear. She decided to just dry her body completely and get dressed. She didn't have time to waste.
~
"How is he?" Heaven stood up as soon as she saw Doctor Grey, walking out of the double doors. On the way to the hospital Daloni had vomited.
"Waiting on his test results. I'm thinking he caught an infection, I'm running labs on everything." Grey sighed.
"Fuck, that's not what I wanted to hear." Heaven shook her head. With Daloni having bone cancer, an infection only made things worse.
"Yeah that's definitely not good. Has he been around any other kids?" The doctor asked, taking a seat next to Heaven.
"No just my daughter." Heaven shook her head, trying to think of anything else.
Seconds later Heaven cursed. "Shit, we went to Jayda's house for a get together. There was some kids there." Heaven mentioned, burying her head in her hands.
"Heaven come on, you know he's at risk. He can't be around kids like that. Do you know if they got all of their childhood shots?" Doctor Grey asked.
"I don't know. I wasn't thinking." Heaven replied, as her lips trembled. She already started blaming herself for what Daloni was going through. All she wanted was for Daloni to live a normal life, but she had to accept that maybe he couldn't.

"H-He had on a mask. I-I made sure he never took it off." Heaven stuttered, as her leg started bouncing.
"Heaven if one of those kids didn't get their shots, they're probably contracting so many things. If Daloni had any contact, even if it was just a accident saliva, this could be bad for him." Doctor Grey explained.
Heaven broke down in tears, shaking her head. "Can I see him?" She asked.
"Not right now, until his results come back he has to be in quartine. I'll keep you updated." Doctor Grey stated.
"Oh and Heaven, you might want to bring your daughter in to get tested. Tell Jayda the same." He added.
Heaven sniffled and nodded her head. She had prayed that every kid at the cookout got all of their shots. If Daloni contracted something from one of them, she would never forgive herself.
After wiping her face and getting herself together, she texted Zylin. Bring vaeh to the hospital, i'll explain when y'all get here.
Next she texted Jayda. Bring angel to the hospital, i'll explain when y'all get here.
~
"Wait so explain that again." Zylin frowned, confused by all of the doctor talk that Doctor Grey had just said.
"Daloni has a respiratory infection. We're still trying to see where it came from. Heaven mentioned that the kids were around other kids. She also said she didn't know if the other kids had all of their shots. Just for precaution, I wanted them to get tested for any diseases or infections." Doctor Grey explained.
"I don't have to go to the doctor until my birthday." Nevaeh frowned.
"Well you going again." Zylin replied, picking her up. He knew she was scared of doctors so he was already embracing himself.
"Mommy I feel fine." Angel said.
"Well this is just to make sure." Jayda nodded. Angel had a weak immune system, so if she contracted something it would be bad for her as well.
"You guys can come, we just need to run some tests." Doctor Grey mentioned.
"Mama can I see papa?" Nevaeh asked.
"Not right now babe, maybe later." Heaven replied, kissing her cheek.
"Can we talk when she done?" Zylin mumbled, while Doctor Grey was getting Angel's vitals.
"Sure." Heaven said. She was working on not being so stubborn, especially towards the people she loved. There was no room in life for grudges.
"Okay Nevaeh it's your turn." Doctor Grey stated, writing down Angel's temperature and blood pressure.
"For what?"
Zylin laughed sitting in the chair with Nevaeh in his lap. This was always their usual position when it was time for her to get a check-up. "If you act right, I'll buy you ice cream."
Doctor Grey wrapped the blood pressure sleeve around her arm and tightened to get her levels. "It's too tight, I can't feel my arm." Nevaeh squirmed.
"Dooda be still or he gone have to start over." Zylin stated, holding her tighter.
"It's too tight." She whined. "He's trying to kill me."
"Oh god." Heaven giggled at Nevaeh's dramatics.
Doctor Grey finally took the sleeve off and got Nevaeh's temperature and heart rate. Of course she complained that he wasn't doing it right.
"Okay now I need both girls to go down to the lab, they'll draw blood and run some tests."
"I'll have them put a rush on it, so y'all can know what precautions to take." The doctor added on, looking at his beeper.
It was Daloni's room, making him run out. Heaven already felt the energy and ran behind him. "God don't do this to me." She prayed on the way.
"Talk to me." Grey announced, in the room full of doctors and nurses.
"He coded." One of the nurses replied, doing the CPR method, pressing on Daloni's chest.
"Rotate out, I'll start compressions." Doctor Grey shouted. The nurse moved out of his way, and switched spots with him so that he was now pressing on Daloni's chest.
"Grey please." Heaven cried, being held back by nurses.
"Still no pulse."
"C'mon son!." Doctor Grey yelled, going harder on his chest. "How long has he been down?"
"Five minutes."
He stopped and checked Daloni's neck for a pulse. Feeling nothing, he looked at Heaven with a soft look "I'm sorry."
Heaven's legs gave out making her drop to the floor as she yelled and cried as loud as her voice could. "Please try again." She sobbed.

Phantom Storm
"Have you heard, the entire Bonanno crew was brutally murdered!" Exclaimed a youth in his early teens. "What? you're lying, again!" Another similarly aged child responded with crisp denial in his tone. After all, the crew was infamous for their ruthlessness. An eery silence passed between them. Soon enough, the teens' curiosity trumped his ego, and he found himself inquiring in a meek voice. "So...Who did it?" "I heard my father talking about it while he was drunk. Guess what he said?..." The child responded, he was a natural-born storyteller. Listening intently, the other teen urged him on. "It was done by a single person. When the police arrived, the bodies were charred black, likely the work of an electro mage. Most had an arrow or two lodged in their body, and a few were even chopped into neat little slices by a sharp blade." He paused, inhaling sharply. "All the victims had shocked expressions on their faces. As if the enemy was invisible or something. That's why they call that person the Phantom Storm!" concluded the adolescent with an excited glint in his eyes. 2 CHAPTERS PER WEEK (Canada time) [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] -------------------------------------------- Follow Itsuki as he is reincarnated in an unfamiliar world, left to discover where he belongs in such a place. All the while working his way up the food chain in this brutal and unforgiving new world. *Disclaimer:* - The protagonist starts weak and a little naive, but I guarantee he will become quite capable over time. There will be no sudden power gains. The protagonist will have to work hard for what he gets. - This story is not about a loner, he'll have a few companions, and they will not be useless. - Some romance will be explored but not take away from the story. The main character will not be dense. 2021/10/20 - Taking this down for a complete rewrite. I like the plot but the writing on the first attempt is... Garbage :/ Jack was just waiting for the storm to pass. It wouldn't. What it did was take him on the journey of a lifetime. A lot of lifetimes, in fact. This is a cultivation/wuxia story at its core. May contain young masters, martial arts and magic. * 14/08/2020 - Rough editing done on the published chapters, hooray! Now to resume normal - edited! - releases.
