Heaven entered Cane's house nervous. He had some of his homies there smoking and chilling, but she was only nervous because of Cane's reaction. Zylin knew how close Cane and Heaven were so he convinced her to show him what happened.
"Cane ya sister here!" One of his mains, Keanu yelled familiar with Heaven. He pulled from his blunt and threw the dice on the floor.
Cane came from the kitchen with one of his duck toys following behind him like a lost puppy. When he saw Heaven he nodded for her to follow.
"It ain't that cold out there, take the scarf off." Cane stated. Heaven figured she could wear a scarf to cover her neck up, but it was clear her plan had backfired.
"Ca—Mane Heaven take the shit off!" He interrupted her, sending her a mug. Again, he never yelled at her on purpose but he was already mad that it even happened.
She slowly took the scarf off her neck and sat it on the table. Cane's eyes immediately went to the dark bruises on her neck. He glanced from her neck to her face.
"Joe did that?" He asked, now holding her head up, so he could get a better look.
"No Malachi. Joe helped him." Heaven mumbled.
Cane touched her neck making Heaven whimper. "That hurts." She said. He continued touching every bruise on her neck shaking his head.
"Where them niggas at? Why you call the police?" Cane asked. Now that the police were involved it would be hard to try and get Malachi and Joe back.
"I didn't. My neighbors did."
"It's gone be hard for me to try to do some since they involved." He sighed.
"Who brought you over here?" Cane asked, finally letting her go. Heaven took a seat at the bar and wrapped the scarf back around her neck.
"Zylin. The one I was telling you about." Heaven said.
Cane bit the inside of his cheek knowing he was about to piss her off. "Cut him off." He simply stated. Cane didn't trust nobody with Heaven.
"Must be crazy." Heaven scoffed.
"Ain shit, you heard what I said." Cane shrugged.
"Why?! He ain't do you shit the fuck!" Heaven said getting loud. She understood where he was coming from but she was not cutting Zylin off. Cane was overreacting in her eyes.
"Mane that's yo dumb ass problem now you trust to many people. I don't trust that nigga or any nigga that you'll ever talk to, might as well be single for the rest of life." Cane shrugged.

"Dumb bitch. That's why I didn't want to come over here in the first place." Heaven mugged, jumping down from the and rolling her eyes.
"Stupid fuck." Cane retorted.
"You stupid!" Heaven yelled, now in Cane's face.
Cane mushed her head and chuckled. "Look at you all rowdy and shit." Cane coped with his anger by making jokes, so at the moment he just wanted to laugh.
"And what the fuck is wrong with your hair? Shit all over your head." Cane frowned. Heaven's hair was everywhere, her coily curls were everywhere.
"Me and Zylin just finished fucking." She smirked. As much as she wished it was true, she knew she was lying, but she knew Cane would believe it which is why he was mugging her.
"Get out." He stated.
"Fine with me." She shrugged grabbing her purse, and skipping out of the house. Honestly arguing with Cane and making him mad always made her happy. It was like she got a rush out of it.
Heaven got in the passenger seat of Zylin's car as he talked on the phone with Kelson. Kelson and Zylin only met six years ago, Kelson was struggling working at a diner trying to provide for him and his family when Zylin offered him a job at the tattoo parlor. Kelson was a great artist.
"Nah, don't even finish his shit if he ain't got that money." Zylin shook his head. Kelson had called with a problem at the shop. A man had waited until Kelson was half-way through with the tattoo to tell him he didn't have the money.
He wrapped up his conversation and eventually ended it. "You hungry?" He asked Heaven resting his hand on her thigh while the other rested on the bottom of the steering wheel.
"I thought we had to pick up Nevaeh?" She asked.
"Mama I asked if you was hungry. What that gotta do with picking her up?" Zylin chuckled.
"Yes I'm hungry." Heaven giggled.
"Alright, after we pick her up we going to get lunch before you go to work." He nodded. There was a new soul food house that just opened up down the street from the hospital that he wanted to try.
"Sounds good."
The car filled with a comfortable silence as Zylin drove to Nevaeh's school, and Heaven scrolled down her Instagram timeline. Seeing Zylin's recent picture pop up again from earlier she grinned with the biggest grin ever. She had already liked and commented when he first posted.
"Who is Cadence?" She asked seeing that she commented heart eyes.

"That's Jay best friend, we kinda grew up with each other." Zylin mumbled rubbing his beard.
"Miss girl got hella heart eyes, she think she cupid?" Heaven mumbled to herself. Zylin slickly heard her and chuckled.

"I thought you were taking the day off?" Jayda asked, seeing Heaven come in with her leftover food and her purse. Jayda really felt like Heaven needed a break.
"Sharon wouldn't let me. I already have three points." Heaven sighed, deciding to clock in on her pager instead of the time clock. If Heave got to six points she would be suspended.
"That lady is so petty."
"I've been meaning to ask you, how's the process coming along with the adoption? Are you close?" Jayda wondered, writing off her charts.
Heaven sighed once more and shook her head. "Jay I don't know. I don't even think I'll be a good mother. I can barely protect myself you see what happened. What if I had him with me?"
Jayda frowned and sat her work iPad on the desk. "You can't be serious." She stated. Heaven was talking crazy, anybody could see that she would be a great mom.
"Jayda I don't think I can do it." Heaven shook her head.
"Heaven listen and you better listen to me good. I understand it may be a lot right now, but you've talked about this for a while. Do you not see how that damn baby cling to you? He don't want nobody but you. Motherhood will never be a easy walk in the park but you'll both have each other to learn from. I'm not pressuring you or anything, but when Daloni gets better and he's discharged, do you really want him back in the system?" With that Jayda walked away, leaving Heaven to think to herself.
Heaven knew everything that Jayda said was accurate. She didn't want Daloni to be with anybody else but her, but she didn't want to fail him.
"Mommy." Daloni yelled, walking bow legged with his physical therapist. He had a tight band wrapped around his waist so that he wouldn't fall over.
"Papa look at you!" Heaven cheesed, running to Daloni.
"Look at you." Daloni pointed.
Heaven chuckled and shook his physical therapist hand. "How's he doing?" She asked.
"He's doing great. A little concerned about his legs going bow legged but his strength is coming back greatly. He's very nonchalant, he tends to ignore me when he doesn't want to do something but it's fine." The mid-aged white woman smiled. Daloni gave her a good laughing the whole session.
"Yea he does me like that too. Do you think he'll grow out of the bowleggedness or?" Heaven asked, looking down at Daloni hug her legs.
"We can't really tell right now. As long as it's not painful to him, he'll be fine."
"Thank you so much." Heaven said shaking the lady hand. Daloni was making so much progress that she was starting to get overwhelmed. She was so glad that God answered her prayers.
The therapist smiled and walked away to start a session with a older lady that had fell down the stairs.
"Papa can you walk to the room with me?" Heaven asked.
Daloni just stared at her with a bored facial expression. He yawned and reached his arms to be picked up. He was slightly annoyed with all of the walking.
"You mean." Heaven mumbled, picking him up swiftly.
While they walked back to his room, Daloni tried putting his hand in Heaven's shirt to get to her boobs. She gasped at his cold fingers and quickly grabbed his hand.
"Daloni there's nothing for you there." She chuckled, looking around to see if anyone was looking. Daloni slightly groaned and laid his head in her neck.
"Wanna color?" She asked him sitting him on his bed, where there was crayons smeared all over his sheets. She only wondered how that happened.
"No. Milk." Daloni shook his head.
"Okay let's order you some milk, cause aint none in these." Heaven mumbled, dialing the cafeteria from his hospital phone room.

Teaching Heroes of Might and Magic
Xianxia, the dream of many. To be reborn in such a world so that you may make yourself a god amongst gods, so that you may rule your own fate and destiny.Well, welcome to reality, because even if you end up in such a realm, who says you get power? Who says you are the one who gets to rule as a god amongst gods? Those stories you read at home on your phone or laptop? Sadly, it just isn't so. Just like Zev, the protagonist of this novel discovered when he was dropped into a world full of Immortals, Monsters, Gods and other monstrous beings. No other worldly power, no other worldly magic, no treasure trove of knowledge or skills was given to him. He was dropped as a mere human, a slightly stronger than average human, into a world where his goal was to simply teach others upon pain of death.-----Full Name of Story [Teaching Heroes of Might and Magic: Mentor of Main Characters]And for the synopsis, I'll first of all state that I am not good at writing them, and this may not have explained the story very well. So I'll just state what the story includes, and what it doesn't. It includes Immortals, demons, gods, etc, you get the idea. What it doesn't include is an actually powerful main character. The main character has a set of unique skills, which include lying, cheating, faking, and all around poker face to get him in and out of situations.Again, the Synopsis needs to be worked on, but for now, that is what it is.
