Invisible Scars boomed through the penthouse suite that Heaven lived in. The aroma was filled with vanilla sugar and a cinnamon flavor as she had her candles burning. Heaven walked around her suite in her skims body suit while her hair was slicked in a ponytail.

"Damn I'm hungry." She mumbled, biting on her fingernail. She dropped the paintbrush into the cup of foggy water and allowed for her feet to guide her to her kitchen.

Opening the refrigerator, she wasn't suprised to see leftover fast food boxes and smart waters. Heaven rarely cooked because she never really had time. Most of the times she ate fast food or just drunk lots of smoothies.

"Guess I need to go get groceries." She said to herself. Luckily she had already had slides by the door. She quickly slipped them on and grabbed her key ring.

After the elevator took her to the parking garage, she quickly walked to her car and unlocked the doors. Cranking the car up, it was a coincidence that she needed to stop by the gas station.

She silently cursed and put the nearest gas station into her GPS. Heaven had been living in Chicago for three years and she still didn't know her way around. GPS was definitely her lifesaver.

It took all of eight minutes for her to arrive at the semi-packed gas station. She groaned seeing all of the men surrounding the door. One thing she hated was ignorant men.

After slipping her airpods into her ear, she got out of her car and walked into the station. The line only had three people so hopefully it wouldn't take her long. While she stood in line, she noticed the kids running around the store like they had no home training.

"S'cuse me. I think you next." A man behind Heaven said, tapping her shoulder. Heaven was so busy watching her car that she didn't even know that it was her turn in line.

"Hey, can I get forty on eight." Heaven stated more than asked. It took her car forty dollars to fill up so instead of just putting twenty to get her to half she just filled the whole thing up.

"Have a nice day." She added getting her receipt.

Going back to her car, she popped the gas tank and put the gas pump in, setting it so that it would pump itself. This was one of the times that Heaven wished she had a man. She hated pumping her own gas and taking her car to the shop. If she had a man she wouldn't have to do any of this.

"S'cuse me ma'am. I just wanted to come over here to say that you're beautiful." A man said, giving Heaven a warm smile.

"Thank you." Heaven nodded, looking back at the numbers on the screen. It was on 39.00 and she was just ready for it to give it her last dollar.

The man chuckled and walked away. The nonchalant face that Heaven gave him gave it away that she was different.

As soon as the gas pump clicked Heaven put the pump back into its holder, closed her tank and hopped in her car. She was hot and aggravated already. Not aggravated that she received a compliment, she was aggravated because the sun was basting her.

Now making her way to the local supermarket, her RodWave playlist automatically flowed through her speakers putting her mind at ease. Rod Wave's voice calmed her. He was her favorite artist.

Everybody didn't get Rod Wave, if you couldn't relate to him then you couldn't feel his music. She could relate to everything he spit, so she enjoyed listening to him.

"How I'm feeling doesn't matter, cause you know I'm okay." She bobbed her head as lyrics spewed out of her mouth. OMDB was one of her favorites.

Trader Joe's came into sight as she drove down the raggedy street. The potholes in Chicago were ridiculous. Every two months Heaven found herself buying a new tire. Deciding to park on aisle 5 she killed the ignition and made her way into the supermarket.

"Do not buy the whole store Hev." She coached herself. Heaven would buy groceries and then they would just go bad in her refrigerator because she never found time to cook. It was her duty to buy basic foods and necessities.

Grabbing a buggy Heaven started in dairy. She grabbed almond milk, eggs, and yogurt. Heaven didn't eat cheese, it messed with her stomach. Moving along to produce she got bellpepers, onions, potatoes , zucchini, and carrots.

"Move lady!" A small girl yelled pushing past Heaven to get to the potatoes. Heaven frowned and looked around for the girl's mother. The little girl chuckled and ran off with her tongue sticking out.

"Bebe ass kids. Lord help me." Heaven talked to herself. She would never understand why kids were disrespectful in this era. It wasn't cute. Whenever she decided to have kids they would quickly be popped in their mouth if they even thought about disrespecting an adult.

Making her way to the meat area she settled on salmon, shrimp, and scallops. Being that she was peskatairian means that she didn't eat red meats or chicken. The only meats that she ate was seafood.

The last aisle that Heaven went on was the pasta aisle. She always made sure to stock up on penne, rigatoni, and fettuccine. Pasta was definitely her favorite food. Quick and easy.

After getting extra items, she made her way to self checkout and bagged all of her items. Instead of paying with her card, she paid with cash that she was trying to get out of her wallet. Heaven did not like walking around with loose cash, it was dangerous.

Finally done at the supermarket, she decided to order her a vegan bowl from chipotle. That was her problem everytime she bought groceries she went to fast food.

When she picked her food up she made her way back to her penthouse. Another reason she needed a man was because she hated carrying groceries. However, she was independent so being by herself wasn't that bad to her.

After putting all of the groceries in their designated spots she went back to the painting that she had been working on for three months. Still not satisfied, she sighed and shook her head.

Deciding to just close the door to the room that held all of her paintings, Heaven went back to the kitchen to dive into her vegan bowl. The sun had wore her out and she wanted nothing more but to eat and go to sleep.

Daloni's harsh coughs and cries was all you heard coming out of the elevator. Jayda continued drawing blood from Daloni so that it could go to the lab. His doctor was worried that he had caught an infection.

"We're almost done baby." Jayda pouted, taking one of her hands and opening a gauze. Daloni had started screaming to the top of his lungs, followed by his loud coughing.

The elevator door had just slid open and when Heaven heard the familiar cries, she sped walk to Daloni's room. As soon as Daloni saw Heaven, he pointed at her while his other hand rested in his mouth.

"Aw papa I know." Heaven pouted, dropping the bag of books she brought and rushing to his side. She nodded at Jayda and held Daloni's hand.

"I'm glad you're here. He's been like this all day." Jayda stated, wrapping his arm in spider man tape. She carefully put the blood in a baggie and left the room.

"Hurt hurt." Daloni cried, lifting his gown to show Heaven where he was hurting. He pointed to his legs and chest. Areas that were common to give him problems.

"Can I rub it?" Heaven asked. Daloni nodded his head and grabbed Heaven's hand putting it on his chest so that she could rub it.

"Hurt bad." He sniffled.

"It'll get all better soon papa and then we'll take you to the spider man museum." Heaven stated. Daloni loved spider man. Heaven had promised to take him to a superhero convention when he got a little better.

"Pider man?"

"Yup. Spider man and bat man and all of the other people." Heaven nodded, taking her free hand to wipe his face.

"Hey boo did Sharon come and talk with you?" Jayda asked, walking back in the room washing her hands. Sharon was the head of patient services at the hospital.

"No what's up?"

"Daloni's insurance expired. Apparently the state doesn't have money to keep paying for his treatments. They're probably gonna transfer him to a rehab center then release him back into the system." Jayda sighed.

"Bullshit!" Heaven snapped. "How the hell did that happen? Who was paying for it at first?" She asked, as a mug graced her face.

"I'm not sure, I think the state. Somehow the insurance stopped covering his treatments so after next week he'll be transferred."

"Jayda that can't happen. He doesn't have family. The state doesn't care about him, he will die without us. There has got to be another way." Heaven stated. She felt her emotions creeping up on her.

"I don't think so friend. Right now Sharon said to just keep him comfortable."

"Jay-da." Heaven whispered, as her voice cracked. She looked down to see Daloni sleeping and removed her hand from his chest.

"He needs me, I n-need him."
