"Your set up will be over there. The booth rent is two hundred a month, that's all I gotta to tell you" the owner of the shop said.
Part of the shop was a salon and the next part was a barbershop.
"Thank you, Ty" she smiled.
"Fasho mama, can you do some braids for my son soon?" He asked helping her take stuff out her boxes.
"I can, I have space on Saturday" she told him.
He nodded "Ight good, I was bringing him in for a cut that day anyway"
"Alright, thank you again" she said as they finished.
An hour after she finished setting up, her first client of the day came through.
"I am sooo glad you wash hair" she said as Ximora took her to the bowl.
Ximora smiled as she turned the water on and got started.
Around the shop's closing time, she had finished her last head of the day and was ready to go.
She ordered her Uber and headed to the front door.
"Ximora, you need a ride?" Ty asked as he walked behind her with his bag.
She shook her head "I'm good thank you, I got an Uber"
"Nah, youn gotta ride in that at night. Lemme take you" he said.
She thought about it then gave in. Once Ximora canceled her ride, she followed Ty to his car then they drove off.
"You want the aux?" He asked.
She nodded and hooked her phone up.
After scrolling a little, she decided on Young Nudy.
"What you know bout this?" He smirked eyeing her.
She laughed and turned the music up a little.
They listened to a few more songs until he pulled up to her apartment.
"Thank you so much Ty, have a good night" she said grabbing her stuff.

He nodded "Of course, I'll see you tomorrow. After school right?"
"Yup, I'll see you" she smiled.
"Ximora" she heard as she walked through the parking lot.
She turned and saw Jaelen getting out his car.
Turning back around, she rolled her eyes.
"Maneee c'mere" he said.
"Jaelen stop being loud, you're gonna get a complaint filed against me" she said walking towards his car.
They both entered the car, and sat in silence.
"Who was that nigga?" He asked.
She shook her head and gathered her stuff so she could leave.
"Chill" he said grabbing her arm and locking the doors.
"Jaelen you cannottt be questioning me about anything" she said.
"Ight, I wanted to apologize about the other day-"
"Tuhhh" she sounded.
"Ximora.. I wanted to say that I'm sorry. I talked to my daddy and a few other people, you were right. I'm sorry, she my mama, and in my eyes she couldn't do any wrong" he told her.
She listened to him and nodded.
"I understand, but you didn't have to ignore me for two weeks" she said rolling her eyes.
"I know and I'm sorry" he repeated.
"Okay, I got school in the morning. Can you unlock the door?" She asked grabbing her back.
"Mora.. don't be like that" he said keeping the door locked.
She scrunched up her face "Like what? You apologized and that's cool, I don't have time to do this back and forth. I have too much going on"
"Ion wanna go back and forth or play games witchu." He said.
"Jaelen, we can deal with this later. I had a really busy day, I moved all my stuff into the shop and I did six heads" she told him.
"Nah we gon deal with this now" he responded.

Ignoring him, she unlocked the door only for it to be locked back. She did this a few more times until he pulled her into his lap.
"Stopppp" she said trying to climb out of his lap.
"Chill" he said as she started beating on his chest.
He wrapped his arms around her, causing her to stop.
Soon she hugged him back and started crying.
Although he was confused he continued hugging her.
"Why you crying?" He asked.
"Jaelen, you're the only person I have. Then you left and ignored me for two weeks" she explained.
He internally smiled hearing that he genuinely held a place in her life.
"My fault Mora, but I'm not leaving you" he told her.
She shook her head "You saying that but what if you do. Maybe we should just cut ties"
"Ximora the only thing you cutting is my hair, I'm not leaving you" he told her once again.
An hour of them talking passed and he had finally finished reassuring her.
"It's kinda late. You wanna spend the night?" She asked getting off his lap.
He nodded and unlocked the doors.
Once they got in the house, they both showered and changed into more comfortable clothes.
Ximora prayed then came into the room.
"Good night" he said resting his head on her chest.
She smiled "Good night"
