《Unstable ▾ a.s》4{Blood Ties}

The days had flown by, it was the end of the month and everything was normal at U.A. no villain attacks have happened, which was odd but no one was complaining.
It had gotten out that the (Nationality) hero, Fiammetta, was working at U.A. and some press had bothered them but nothing as bad as when it was public All Might was going to be teaching at U.A.
School days went by and students trained harder. The students of Class 1-A were working on their moves in one of the gyms on campus. Aizawa and Cementos were viewing the students training when (Y/n) walked in. The students noticed and greeted her. She gave them a soft smile and turned to the teachers.
"Just doing some rounds, Fiammetta?" Cementos asked
"Well, there hasn't been any villain attacks since I got here so I really haven't done anything than help out a couple of kids who had a disagreement," she said
"Well, maybe you could give some advice to the class," Aizawa gestured to the students who were working hard on their quirks.
"I'm here to help them on their mental health. Not hero life. That's your guy's job," she motioned to the two heroes before her phone went off. She took it out and looked at it with a shocked face. "Where's Hizashi at?" She asked
"Check the lounge or the staff room, what's wrong?" The black haired man asked, taking his hands out of his pockets.
"I'll explain later," She said before leaving the gym and going to find her cousin, she quickly found him as he was walking to the gym, with nothing better to do.
"Hizashi," the (h/c) approached him, he'd never seen his cousin in so much distress before.
"(Y/n), what happened?" He rushed to his cousin's side as she hugged him, practically clinging to him, "Combustion took out my hero agency in (H/c), he's coming here..." she told him
He had no idea what to say. He knew her father had been able to break out of a mental hospital a couple of years back, but he didn't think the fire villain, Combustion, his cousin's biological father, would come to Japan.
"We'll let the other pros handle it, our focus is to not let him get to the students or you," Hizashi did his best to put his cousin mind at ease, he needed to calm her down before she switched. The whole staff had been keeping the secret safe from the students, they'd had one close call but no one put two and two together yet.
"No, the pros already have enough on their hands with the League of Villains, so do those kids. Combustion is my problem, I'm not going to drag any of those kids or you pros into the fucked up game of cat and mouse I've been playing with him for years," she pulled away and wiped a couple of tears away.
"He's coming to Japan now, that makes him all of our problems. You can't take him on your own either, he's the reason you have most of your altars in the first place!" Hizashi argued
"I'm not alone when I fight him! Yes, he's one of the main reasons for my alters, but I've rarely been in situations where they haven't helped me, but I'm not seeing anyone else in my life get hurt because of him."

"I know you have mood swings due to your DID, but you've always needed more help when it comes to Combustion, why stop asking now?"
"I never asked for other heroes help with him, they were doing what the do best, fighting the villain, trying to get the praise for the money."
"(F/n), you can't keep fighting him on your own. You can't keep pushing people away either."
"I've never pushed anyo—"
"Yes, you have. My parents noticed, I noticed, your siblings noticed. They called me before you landed and said you rarely spoke to anyone in the family after you graduated."
"There was a lot that happened when I went back home. Events that caused me to gain more alters. Yes, I shut out my family, but I have my reasons and I'm not ready to share them. Some of them have to do with Combustion and he's the reason why I've closed a lot off and why I always fight him on my own," he saw something change in his cousin's eyes, she had switched, "Don't push her Hizashi."
"Deirlot, can you explain why—"
"Combustion threatened you all when she graduated. She was already blocking friends out when she came back due to something else, but he threatened you all, that's why she pushed her family away. She won't ever tell you, but you need to know," Deirlot told him
"What he tell her?" Present Mic asked
"I don't know, but every fight they've had, as worn her out so much, she's gone beyond her limit every time. I told Shota this, thinking it wouldn't have to come down to this, but don't try and stop her, if more violent alters come out, get everyone out of range from her and let them run their course. Combustion never hesitated to kill in (H/c), meaning he won't hesitate here. He already took out her hero agency, at this point, she needs to fight fire with fire," Deirlot told him
"Deirlot, are you sure about this. The last time one of the violent alters took over, 1-A almost go—"
"And if you try and stop them when Combustions attacking, then they will die. They know how to handle villains, but Combustion is too much for them. Even Class 1-B won't be able to take him if it came down to that," the alter said, "Don't tell anyone about Combustion. I'm going to tell Nezu and let him figure out what to do," Deirlot walked away as Mic just took it in as he continued to the gym to watch 1-A, quickly putting back on his smile as if he didn't just find out his cousin's criminal father was coming here and might kill them all.
Aizawa looked at his friend and noticed his friends game immediately. He never said anything, just watched his class and helped them out where he thought they needed help. When classes finished for the day, Aizawa went to ask (Y/n) what had happened. He knew he shouldn't push her, but he was concerned, both for his co-worker and the person he cared for. He was lucky enough to catch her before she stepped into her office, "(L/n)."
"Aizawa, what do you need?" She asked him

"What happened earlier," he wasn't really asking, he wasn't demanding an answer either.
"I... I'm not talking about this in the open," she said and gestured for him to come into her office. They both stepped in and she closed the door and walked over to her desk and leaned against it. "Deirlot told you when I arrived that my father had gotten out a couple of years back. My mother texted and said he took out my agency and he's coming here. I told Hizashi and Nezu. Nezu is letting the rest of the staff know tomorrow morning, then we need to come up with a plan."
"Don't try and fight him by yourself," Aizawa bluntly told her. She looked at him confused, "Your quirk is powerful and you're strong, but from what I've heard and read, Combustion is stronger. And he's part of the reason for your DID. If you fight him on your own, he might kill you, even with your alters."
(Y/n) had no idea where the hell any of his concern had come from. Sure, he had changed since they were in school, but this was new for him in general. "Aizawa, it doesn't matter how strong I am or how powerful my quirk is, he will always be stronger than me and my alters. But I'm not going to stand by and watch as the people around me get killed by him."
"So you'll throw yourself at the man who's almost killed you every time you fought? How long are you going to fight your battles alone?" Aizawa asked
"Who the hell is going to help me fight my battles? No one wants to be with someone whose father is a criminal and has DID. I'm too much to handle."
"I will," Aizawa didn't dare look at her as he said that.
"What...?" She was so confused at his simple statement.
Aizawa took a deep breath. "This is not how I wanted to tell you, but I don't think we'll ever catch a break. (F/n), I'm always going to be here to help you. I'm going to be here to help you fight your battles, whether it's Combustion or your altars," he looked at her with his hands in his pockets, "I will gladly put up with you and all your problems."
It seemed so ominous, but she understood what he was saying. She walked over and hugged him, "Thank you, Shota." Her arms wrapped tightly around his neck and head in his shoulder. He wrapped his arms around her torso. "I should have asked you fourteen years ago, but will you—"
"Yes. It'll always be yes," she pulled away and looked him, cupping his face in her hands, "You have always been the one person outside my family that has been there for me for my whole mess of DID and my father."
He gave her a soft smile, "Just don't run off and trying to fight Combustion on your own."
"I'm technically never on my own," she told him
"You know what I mean," he told her.
"Yeah," She said as her cousin walked into her office to see the two embracing each other.
"Did you two finally—" He questioned and slapped his hands onto his cheeks with a big smile
"Yes, Hizashi. And please stop yelling," (Y/n) had cut her cousin off as he wrapped his arms around their shoulders, "Finally!"
"Don't run go and tell anyone, not with the current situation," (Y/n) told him
"Alright, stay safe, don't know where Combustion is at the moment," he said before walking out of the office, "Keep my little cousin safe Eraser!"
"You're not that much older than me!" (Y/n) called to him. Aizawa laughed at the two as the new couple pulled apart.
"It's not too late to change your mind," (Y/n) told him.
"I waited fourteen years, I'm not going back," Aizawa replied
"How romantic," she sarcastically said as she walked back to her desk.
"I'll see you later, I've got to go help a kid train," Aizawa said
"Which one?" the (h/c) asked
"Shinso Hitoshi from Class 1-C," he replied
"I saw his file. He applied for the hero course but didn't get in."
"The exam wasn't in favor of his quirk. After the Sports Festival, I started working with him outside of school hours. Training him in using binding cloth."
"Should be easier for him to learn. It took you forever to learn to use those."
"Because I was self-taught. He'll learn quicker then I did."
"Well, have fun. I'll see you later," she said going to some files as Aizawa walked over to her and placed a kiss on the top of her head.
"I'll see you later," he said as he walked out of the room to help a student.
(Y/n) smiled to herself as she continued her work. Aizawa made his way down to the forest to help the general studies kid.
———
The day had come to an end. Students had returned to their dorms and most teachers were back their building doing their own thing. (Y/n) was sitting on the couch talking to Midnight about the students work in the hero course. Even after school hours, the staff would talk about students.
"I saw Aizawa walk out of your office after school. Anything happens in there?" Midnight wiggled her eyebrows at the hero next to her.
"Nothing happened. I heard something from my agency back home and he was worried about what it was," it wasn't a complete lie, but she knew if she told Midnight the two where together, she would announce it to the whole staff, unintentionally.
"Are you sure?" She interrogated her friend
"Yes, I'm sure," the (e/c) eyed hero stretched and yawned, "I think I'm going to go to bed." Midnight wished her goodnight as (Y/n) got up from the couch and headed to her room. She passed by a few teachers and waved at them. She walked past Aizawa's room and noticed his door was open a crack and he was sitting at his desk on his computer.

Macabre Mim
*Note: This story is on hiatus. I intend to pick it up again, but the mood of my life has shifted for the time being and I'm going to be working on a side project for a bit.* What would you give to live the life of your dreams? What kind of deal would you make? And when you were there, forced to stare your dreams in the eye and live them every day, how long would it be... before they broke you? Author's note: This is my first excursion outside the realm of villain fan fiction and I welcome feedback. The thing I've loved most about RRL so far is the potential for writing to be an interactive experience with excited readers. That said, also, the primary genre this is intended for is the blossoming realm of LitRPG. Namely, a slice of life tale in the manner of Grimgar or Re:Zero. So, likewise, I don't expect there will ever be a clear beginning-middle-and-end type of pattern to this story. It will likewise always be a bit more of a reactionary, exploratory novel into realms unknown - much like the 1800 travel-novel theme used by Jules Verne. Or, at least, that is my ambition.

The Animo Saga
Before history was well-recorded in the world of Ulakam, primordial animal spirits adopted humans, provided protection and developed deep spiritual connections with them. Millennia later, humans now host animal spirits and are split into tribes named for the species they host. Ulakam is slowly being consumed by a decades-long war pitting the main tribes against the smaller tribes and a group of bandits calling themselves "the resistance". Callida Animo was born into this world. Coming from a mixed family of generational soldiers, Callida joined the family business at a young age. In her words, she was practically bred, born, and raised to be a soldier. And she's good at what she does... which inevitably attracts attention that makes her unambitious self extremely uncomfortable. Love, loss, influence and growth. This is her story. Written episodically, this story focuses on relationships and character growth through a series of mini-arcs that connect to make a greater whole. (Honestly, the story would lend itself well to a TV series.) "Episodes" range from 3-7 chapters (at least so far), and average about 4 or 5 chapters. Author's note: I'm always thrilled to receive comments, follows, ratings/reviews, messages.... All forms of feedback are welcome and encouraged. However, I have no interest in begging readers for more engagement to get better visibility. I tried that with my last story and found the game soul-sucking. So! This constitutes my only self-promotion request. If you are reading this story, let me know what you think! I love engaging with my readers. We'll see if growing the readership organically is even possible. Thank you! 😘 Release schedule: Weekly on Wednesday afternoons

Hot Guy Cold Guy
Two exiles are forced by circumstances to travel together. Well, or one forces the other to follow. Hmm, no. One chooses to follow the other. Ah, forget it. It depends. Anyway, life is an adventure. Life in fantasy much more so. But, as in real life, some characters just seem to bumble foolishly along. Skah is one of those people. Meanwhile, others take it too seriously. The clash that comes from forcing these two people together can only be described as an adventure.

Creature Feature: InGen Hybrids
The fossil record is obviously incomplete, which means InGen's experiments with the hybridisation of various prehistoric creatures are probably not over. With that in mind, this guide is likely incomplete. But if you're writing Jurassic Park or Jurassic World fanfiction, or stories told within that pretty awesome universe, then any of the creatures found in these fair pages should be considered entirely canon!
