《The Demon's Little Wolf》REVENGE

"I hope it is a good one." I said once the guards informed us of the arrival of our mysterious guests. I forgot to ask him who it was. So stupid of me. Well, I just have to go and see it for myself then.
"We'll have to go see them to find out." He sighed as he pinched the bridge of his nose. "Can we not get a bit of peace for once."
"Well, judging by the situation with the vampires and now with my family I would say no." I said cheekily.
"Way to try and make it better." He groaned, earning a laugh from me.
"Let's go see it now. The faster we get this over with, the better." I walked past him into the closet as he followed me. I rummaged through my still unpacked suitcase while he went through his countless suits hanging in the closet. "What color of suit are you wearing."
He looked at me confused. He was about to reply but I cut him off. "Wait. Judging by the color of you suits I would say black." He nodded and I grinned.
"May I know why you are asking me this?"
"So that we can wear matching." I said as I took out one of my black dresses out of my suitcase. I saw his face change expression and out of nowhere I was starting to regret the decision of saying it.
Maybe he did not want to wear matching colors with me.
Is he ashamed of us wearing the same?
Before my stupid thoughts mislead me, Alexander's laughter infiltrated the silence in the closet.
"Why are you laughing?"
"Nothing. You really just thought that I do not want to wear matching color with you, didn't you?"
I scoffed. "No."
"Yeah yeah." He said nonchalantly as he watched my face heat up. "I was just playing around to see you reaction." I took a random shirt from my suitcase, crumbled it in my hands and threw it at him. He caught it in his hand, grinning. "Someone is feisty."
I rolled my eyes as he came forward towards me. "You know now that I have marked you we have our own mind link right?"
Fuck. I totally forgot about this part. I blocked the one with the others but completely left this one out. Wait, is this how he found out about my thoughts?

"Hmm." He hummed again.
"You read my thoughts again."
"No. It is you who is forgetting to block your thoughts." He crouched down next to me and ruffled my hair a bit.
"I should really get use to having mind links. I never had one and I don't want to go around with you or any one else hearing all my stupid thoughts." I face palmed myself.
"You will get used to it." He removed my hand from my face. "Get ready now. Also, wear matching colors as me. I want them to know that you are mine. Only mine." His low voice sent shivers down my spine. He placed a small kiss on my forehead, a gesture that I came to love a lot. It gave me a sense of being loved, protected and valued.
We were finally all dressed up to go meet whoever had come to meet us. I was dressed in a simple black dress that hugged my torso before flowing down starting from the waist area, reaching a bit above my knee. I had paired it with my wedges and both rings that Alexander gave me while Alexander was dressed in his usual black suit, looking like the handsome devil he is.
'Are you ready?' I heard a voice in my head which was surely not that of Cresent. I sent a glare at Alexander once I understood that it was him talking to me through our mind link.
'Do you want to give me a heart attack' I said through the link itself. He let out a chuckle.
"I did not know you would be this freaked out." He said out loud this time.
"Uhg." I huffed.
We approached an unknown door. He opened it, allowing me to step in first as he followed by. I realised we were in some sort of meeting room. I saw several pair of similar eyes look at me.
The different leaders, my grandmother, some Alphas and Lunas, Adrian and Diana in the room. They were all seated around the long rectangular table in the middle in the room. Alexander took my hand in mine and we went to sit at the head of the table, next to each other.
"May I know the reason for your sudden visit?" Alexander voiced out.

"King Denver, I know this is really sudden and you might not want us here after what happened at the castle the other day but the current situation have left us with no other options" King Tarsal spoke on the behalf of everybody
"What situation?" I asked curiously looking at my grandmother.
"The vampires. They attacked the castle the day you left." Grandmother said but I knew there was more to the story.
"And...."
Leader Elena sighed as she began speaking. "When they attacked, there were only a few of them. Around 15 to 20. We were in the meeting room when this happened. They had said that they wanted to just have a civil conversation without any bloodshed."
'Can she not go any faster? I am getting impatient now' Alexander's voice floated in my mind though the link.
'That is what I am wondering also.'
He reached his hand out and placed it on my knees. He slowly moved his hands further up my thigh, pulling the dress up along with it. He stopped his hand above my mid thigh and started drawing small circles on it while giving a little squeeze sometimes.
'Xander! What are you doing?'
'Doing something more fun that listening to the boring talk'
I turned to face him and a sly smirk on his lips.
'Asshole' I said as I returned my attention to King Tarsal who was now speaking while trying my best not to get distracted by Alexander's hand on my thigh or how further up it kept going each second.
"As leader Elena just said, when King Royal and King Leon joined forces with the vampires, we decided to leave."
"Did you just say that the king of werewolves and king of griffins are working with the vampires now?" I nearly shouted.
"Yes Analise. Like we said, we the among the few vampires that came, one of them was the second in command and he offered us a chance to work with them. Only King Leon and Gabriel agreed. Along with King Leon, all his people agreed but for the werewolves many did not agree. Only Gabriel, Ivory, Rayna, Ryan, Isabella and a few other alphas agreed. That is all. The rest, that is us decided to leave."
My mouth formed an 'o' shape as I caught up to what I missed. "Did they already finalise the alliance?" Alexander asked.
"They were supposed to meet the leader of vampires today. They left that night itself after the vampires proposed it. They will probably meet by the night itself." King Elijah informed.
"What was there in the proposal that they agreed this quickly?" I glanced at my grandmother.
"Revenge." She replied. "I don't know about King Leon but Gabriel wants revenge, from you and King Denver. The vampires heard of whatever happened that day and used it to get them on their side. The vampires want to have you Analise and Gabriel wants revenger from King Denver."
I stiffened as I heard the words come out of her mouth and I felt Alexander tense too since he stopped drawing small circles on my inner thigh.
"So the war is now against us?" Diana asked
"Unfortunately yes. We hope to work with you for the time and hopefully defeat them. Their army is much bigger now." King Tarsal said
"Fine. We will work together. Well, you can stay in the castle since it is big enough for everybody. We will follow the same thing we did previously. Train and be ready for the attack." Alexander said with a stern voice.
"We should also discuss about a way to defeat the griffins and wolves now since all these time we have been focusing on the vampires." King Tarsal said. "Also, Leader Elena, did you find a way to destroy the staff?"
"Not yet." She sighed. As they continued talking about these things, I turned them out and talk to Alexander through the link.
'Should I tell them that I am a black wolf?'
'It is up to you. No matter what you decide I will support you'
'I know. I just feel like I could help them in destroying the staff using my powers.'
'Take you time and think about it.'
'Hmm' I turned my attention back to the leader talking about strategies and weakness about griffins as well as werewolves. The discussion went on for what seemed like forever before it was finally time for us to go do our own things.

The Way Ahead
What do you do when you don't fit in? Edwin never really felt many connections to other people, but as a physics student, that was fine. He didn't really need it, anyway. He was content to peel back the mysteries of the universe... not that there were many left to find. Modern-day research was just too well-established, too well-trodden for any single enthusiast to make any significant headway. But that doesn't apply to other worlds. Not ones where magic and Skills run rampant, where well-defined roles and Classes dominate much of society with little room for novel experimentation from its residents. That kind of world would be perfect for an overeager, newly-minted Alchemist to make his mark. Things are never that easy, though. The Way Ahead is a very slice-of-life story following the story of someone trying to find his place in a world that doesn't know what to do with him. Expect lots of science, lots of alchemy, a few sarcastic quips by the System, and lots of exploration involving the world, self-discovery, and above all, science. After all, further research is always required. Updates every other day at 9 AM PST. Congratulations! For writing a story during the month of November, you have unlocked the Royal Road Writathon Participant path!
