《The Demon's Little Wolf》LIMITS

I felt an anxious feeling crawl its way around my heart, engulfing it as I looked out at the scenery passing by. The peaceful scenery completely contrasted my tangled chain of thoughts. After spending hours outside, we finally decided to head back to the castle but half way through, I started to have this weird feeling.
"Are you okay?" Alexander's voice brought me out of my thoughts and he placed his free hand on my thigh. He looked at me with concern in his eyes.
"Hmm. Just feeling a bit nervous." I answered as I entangled my fingers with his hand that was resting on my thigh. he gave my hand a little squeeze as he focused his attention back to the road.
"Why?"
"I don't know. There is this strange feeling of something bad about to happen but I just don't know what it is."
"It's probably the stress about the war and everything going on. Don't worry too much about it." He brought my hands to his lips and kissed my knuckles, making me smile a bit. I leaned back in the seat as I waited to see the castle again.
He parked the car down the same street itself saying that someone else will come to take it later before we made our way separately to our room. I was about to change out of my clothes when someone just barged in my room without knocking. I spun around, ready to shout at whoever it was but nothing came out as I was met with the sight of a furious Alexander.
"Xander?" I went closer to him and placed my hands on his biceps. "What's wrong?" I asked. He clenched his jaws and fists, turning his knuckles white. I looked at him warily.
"Adrian and Diana are in trouble. Where is the stupid trial halls?" He said in between gritted teeth
"I don't know. Let's not waste any time though" I went out of the room with Alexander right on my tail. I went up to the nearest guard. "Where is the trial hall?"
I was today years old when I found out that we had a trial hall in the palace. I mean who still does these things.
We followed the instructions and took several turns before finally reaching the guarded double doors. "Open the doors" I commanded and they followed my orders. We quickly walked inside but I stop dead in my steps when I saw Adrian and Diana on the stage thing. They looked to be in a bad state and drained out of their energy. Adrian was on floor gasping for air while Diana shouted something at Ryan who was responsible for Adrian's state. Ryan seemed pissed as he took menacing steps towards Diana. In the corner of my eyes I caught sight of a fuming Alexander going towards the stage.
The next thing I knew was that he was on the stage and he threw Ryan off the stage. Literally grabbed him by the neck and threw him off. Gasps erupt in the the crowd and everybody who were sitting got up.
"What do you think you are doing to my son!" My father shouted. Many other werewolves started shouting to support him
"What do you think you are doing to my people!" Alexander shouted back in a loud yet cold voice. Even from where I was standing, I could see the fury in his eyes and how he had his fists clenched. Before things got worse, I dashed to the where they all stood.

"Don't start fighting now. Please." Grandmother said as she moved towards the fuming men.
"Tell him to teach his people how to respect the royal family and not attack them." My mother's voice reached my ears and I rolled my eyes. Way to know how to take care of a situation.
"Can you tell us what happened exactly?" I asked her. She glared at me.
"These two right here disrespected me and Ivory. They called us a bitch. Not only that but they also attacked us. See?" Rayna said from behind her. Can the person who was asked the question not answer? What is wrong with this family? Rayna stepped out from behind my mother and her face had scars on them as well on her hands.
"See!? This is what they did."
"I don't believe you" Alexander retorted. Many boos were heard from the crowd as well as others who were supporting Alexander. In short, it was a mess.
"That is your problem. They will be punished for disrespecting my mate and sister." Ryan who had finally came back up argued back. He motioned for two guards to grab Adrian and Diana. For how long I knew Diana and even if I never really talked to Adrian, I knew they could not do something like that.
Alexander commanded. The guards stopped but my father reassured them with a nod. I watched with wide eyes as they pulled Diana forcefully by her arms, a small whimper leaving her mouth.
Lizzie you need to do something. You are supposed to be their queen and if you don't help them now then when will you? Crescent said.
"Stop right where you are and leave them." I said in a stern voice and the guards did as they were told.
"What are you doing?" My mother whispered yelled as she harshly grabbed my forearm and started pulling me away from them. I saw Alexander send me a look but I just nodded to him that I will be fine.
I took my hands out of my mother's grasp and walked back to where we were. "I am doing the right thing unlike you." I said out loud.
My father looked at me with wide eyes as many werewolves started shouting things at me for siding with the demons. I clenched my fists as I overlooked the crowd of people that all these years had forgotten about me but now here they are, just judging me by one of my action. I saw some of the werewolves start to fight with the demons in the crowd and it seemed like it had caught the attention of the other leader as they signaled for their people to break them apart.
I shouted and could not help the commanding tone in my voice. "Following my command, I saw them moving away from each other. The demons stood on one side of the carpet while the werewolves on the other.
"How.. how did you command the demons." My mother asked, speechless
Ignoring her question I continued. "Back to the matter that we have in hand. Diana and Adrian did not do anything."
"Then how do you explain" Ivory interrupted me.
"I am not done talking. So shut up and listen." I snapped at her and glared at her. She visible tensed before lowering her head. "You said that they hurt Rayna. How can you believe this? Are you guys fucking stupid?" I said not giving a fuck about formalities or that I was talking to the royal family in front of all these people. I just had enough and reached my limits.

They call themselves powerful and intelligent but somehow they manage to do something that contradicts it.
"These injuries." I motioned to a fake sobbing Rayna. "They are not real. They are minor injuries and Rayna, having the werewolf genes should have been healed by now. She cannot have these small bruises for so long without her werewolf genes at least starting to heal them." I saw the other leaders eyes widen in realisation as they looked at a guilty Rayna.
"As for whether they called them bitch or not has not been proven. So we refuse to believe it." Alexander supported me.
"What!" Ivory shrieked "They disrespected us! And right now too they disrespected the king and future king."
"Can you stop yelling and let us handle the matter." Alexander said in a pissed voice.
"They disrespected my daughters and that is it." My father said.
"Well you can't expect them to be respected if they don't treat other with respect." I fired back at him. "Also, you can't just pass any judgment without hearing both sides. You heard Ivory and Rayna but did you listen to Diana and Adrian? No. Instead I don't what you did to them and then brought them here."
"She is right King Gabriel. We told you this earlier but you did not listen to us. Now look to where this lead." King Tarsal said and by his tone I could say that he was fed up too. "So we will give a chance for them to tell us what happened." King Tarsal said. He did not wait for what my father had to say as he motioned for Diana to talk.
After telling us the whole thing, I felt the fury inside me rising. They disrespected Diana and Adrian and framed them.
"I told you they did not do anything. They are not like your daughters." Alexander said emphasising on daughters and I knew very well why he did that. I sighed and went towards Diana and undid the chains that tied her wrists secretly using my magic and did the same for Adrian. "Are you guys fine?" I said but instead got pulled into a hug by Diana "Thanks."
I patted her back before pulling away. Adrian offered me a smile which I returned. Diana helped Adrian to stand up properly. I was about to tell them to leave when my father's angry voice boomed behind me. "Why are you siding with them? They are our enemies!"
"They are your enemies not mine!" I answered.
He looked taken aback by my answer. "What are you talking about. Have you gone mad?" My mother sided with my father.
"How can you do this to your own people. You betrayed us." Rayna said with a smirk
"Exactly. We know you did not stay with us for so long but that does not mean you do like this. Siding with the enemy? That is not expected from a princess." I scoffed. "You know, you are a disgrace to the family" She said with no regret as she looked at me with disgust. I heard some gasps but ignored it as I realised it did not hurt now when she said these hurtful things to me. It did not hurt at all. Not even a sting.
After all these years of holding onto a relationship that only I tried to fix, did nothing but bring me pain and now that I finally let it go, nothing remained in between us. Nothing they said would affect me anymore since I stopped caring about them. The only person whose opinion I care about is Alexander, my real friends and my grandmother.
I did not feel anything. Not even a bit of pain. I just felt numb and unaffected as I stared in her eyed, bored by her talks. "Don't talk to her like that." Alexander said in between gritted teeth, shocking her
"Okay, what is going on here? Why are you supporting each other." Ryan voiced out
"Maybe she is sleeping around with him." Rayna muttered under her breath but she very well that we we heard it judging, by the smirk on her face. "What!? Did you not see how they kept spending time with each other? Earlier also I saw Diana and Analise go somewhere together but only Diana returned. When I went to search for her, a guard told me she went out where Alexander had gone earlier"
"Yes and we heard that Diana and Adrian talking in the garden something along the lines of Analise becoming queen of demons" Ivory added and my eyes widened. I looked at Diana who gave me an apologetic look. Alexander locked eyes with me and I could see the conflict in his eyes.
Let him do it Lizzie and be over with it. You will be free to be with Alexander then.
I nodded at Alexander and I never felt this sure about anything in my life. He let out a breath. "Because it is true. She is the future queen of demons since she is my mate and I expect you to talk to her with respect." He said in a cold voice while glaring at each of my family except my grandmother who stood there with a small smile on her face. Numerous gasps were heard from the crowd and then I realised that we had an audience. A rather large one might I add.
This was not the way I had in mind to disclose it to everybody but it had to be done.
"This cannot be true." My mother said.
"Too sad it is." I heard Diana say from behind me
"This can't happen. You two cannot be together. He is our enemy and you cannot be with him. We won't allow it." My father said. Just the thought of being separated with Alexander made something snap in me and I found the next words coming out of my mouth with no regrets
"With what rights? With what rights do you think you can separate us because you made it clear all these time that you did not consider me as your daughter. Right?"
"What does she mean?" Leader Elena said.
"She is just mad right now." My mother said quickly and I chuckled darkly
"What happened? Afraid that the truth will finally be out?" I raised an eyebrow at her. "All these years you did not even bother to check on me. You never called me. I doubt you even knew where I was. When you called me back, it was only because you needed me for the war and even then you kept talking thrash about me. But now I have had enough of all of you. You think that you can just separate me and my mate because of some stupid enmity you guys have?"
"We will be together and none of you can do anything about it." Alexander said as he entwined our fingers together and stood next to me. I smiled lightly at him and I felt two other presence behind us, Diana and Adrian.
"If you are together then you can no longer be here!" My father shouted "Get out from my castle and you are no longer my daughter and you were right. I never considered you as my daughter because you don't deserve to be my daughter. You are a shame and disgrace to the royal family." He spat and as soon as he did, Alexander delivered a punch to him and my father stumbled a few steps back
He said as he glared him. He added.
"You- you will regret this! Both of you" My father shouted from behind us as Alexander pulled me out of the room along with him, ignoring the looks people threw at us.

This is my first story to ever be posted. As I am an amateur writer, there shall be mistakes. More so with the fact that English is not my first language. This story is a re-write, and its original version was a request by a dear friend of mine. Though hopefully this version would be far better.. As the original version was a very cringe worthy thing. Many thanks to certain friends that have convinced me to post this. I shall do my best to at least update frequently, without sacrificing the.. quality of chapters. Tags will be added as the story goes on. || Disclaimer: Much of the chapters before Chapter Twelve are of poorer quality in terms of Grammar. So do forgive me for them, by Chapter Twelve and beyond however, the quality of the chapters should have had improved. I'm hopefully gonna fix most of the earlier chapters when I hit Chapter Twenty or Thirty.
