《The Demon's Little Wolf》SPENDING THE NIGHT

I moved the last book shelf away from the wall. "This better be it." I said as I moved forward to examine the wall with Alexander next to me. "Ensonum." I muttered a spell just incase any spell was casted on the wall and I was right. The first layer of wall faded away and right behind it was the symbol we were looking for with a small keyhole next to it. "Found it."
Alexander opened it and took out the stake we were searching for. Compared to its use, it seemed pretty normal. Just a piece of wood with a pointed edge but there was a strong feel of magic to it. "Finally."
"Let's go now. I am tired and we have been here for an hour now." I said while placing the shelf back to where it was. We exited the room and closed it once we were in the hallways. I was about to take the turn to go towards my room but it looked like Alexander had other plans. He snaked his hand around my waist and took another turn.
"Where are we going?"
"You'll see."
"Someone will see us." I whispered yell while trying to get out of his grip but he maintained his attention to where we were going.
As we passed by several rooms, I could not help but notice the absence of guards and the different scent that filled my nose. Finally we came to a stop in front of a room and Alexander opened the door letting me in. The scent was enough for me to know where we were. "Why am I in your room?" I said while walking further in. His room was basically the same as mine with just a different scent.
I watched him place the stake on the table found on the other side of the room and he rolled his sleeves up to his elbow, revealing his inked arms. "Can you spend the night with me?" He said and ran his hand through his hair, disheveling them but still looking hot. He took steps towards me until he stood in front of me. "I want to spend sometime with you." He took my hand in his and kissed my knuckles.

I smiled lightly and nodded at him, happy that he wanted to spend time with me. This proved that he actually wanted to try and was not just saying. "Great. I'll get changed and come." He said and disappeared in the walk in closet. With the smile still plastered on my face, I let my eyes wander around the room until they fell on a book that was on the table right next to where the stake was placed.
I walked towards it and ran my hands over the beautiful cover. I recognised it as the cover of one of my favorite books. It is an inspiring story about a woman and her daughter in the early nighties when single parents, especially only mothers were not really supported. Still, both of them managed to rise to the top, fighting against the society and were successful in their life. I was about to keep it back to its place when I saw a small paper sticking out of it.
Furrowing my eyebrows, I opened the book and it was a picture in the middle of the page. Though I never saw the woman, I instantly knew who she was. Those blues eyes. Alexander's mother. She was standing with a toddler Alexander holding her hand and beaming at the camera as they stood in a field of beautiful flowers.
Both of them looked very similar. The same black hair, blue eyes, the same nose and lips. Basically Alexander could be said to be a younger, male version of her. There was this glint in Alexander's eyes that made him look cute. He looked so happy and carefree with her.
"What are you looking at." Alexander's voice came from behind me as he snaked his hands around my waist and placed his chin on my shoulder, looking at the picture.
"Sorry I did not mean to snoop around. I just foun" I started explaining but he stopped me mid sentence.
"It's fine. I am not offended." He placed a light kiss along my jaw. "You can look around as much as you want. What is mine is also yours now"

I smiled lightly. "She is beautiful."
"She sure is. At least now her beautiful face is not always filled with fear or tears. I am sure that wherever she is, she must be happy."
"She is." I said as I closed the book. "Where was this picture taken? It looks really beautiful." I got out of his grip and placed it back on the table. Turning back, I realised that he was only in his sweatpants that were hanging low on his waist, showing his perfectly sculpted body and tattoos. Before I started drooling, his voice snapped me out of my thoughts
"It was a small field near the castle. Mom would usually take me there when I was not training." He said as he led me to the bed but before we could lay down, I realised what I was wearing. I was still in my formal black dress from earlier. As he saw me stop he asked "Anything wrong?"
"Yeah." I trailed off trying to find the words to explain "My clothes. I can't sleep in them" I said while motioning to my clothes.
"You can borrow mine if you want. They would fit on you." He suggested.
"Ok." I smiled and we went to his closet. His closet was filled with suits of dark colors and few casual wear. No wonder most of the time he is dressed in formal wear. He handed me a shirt of his and some pants. He left, leaving me space to change.
The pants would just not stay in place. They were too loose on me. In the end, I decided to wear only the shirt as it was like a dress on me due to our height difference. I folded the pants and kept it back to where it was.
Alexander was already laying on the bed, looking through his phone. He kept it aside once he heard me come out and watched my steps as I went towards the bed. Out of nowhere, I felt self conscious under his gaze. I slid under the covers next to him. "Your pants were too big for me." I said
"You look beautiful in my clothes." He said with a smug look on his face and I just rolled my eyes. He pulled me closer to him by the waist and rested his head on mine while I rested mine on his chest. I traced the tattoos on his chest one by one. "What do theses tattoos symbolise?"
"I just got it done to cover the scars I had earlier." He played with my hair.
"Hmm. They are beautiful though." I said "By the way, what can I call you? Like Alexander just seems a bit too long."
"I don't know. What do you want to call me?"
"I don't know either. How does Diana call you?"
"She calls me Alex."
"Nah. That does not suit you."
"Care to elaborate?"
"Well, Alex seems to be the name of someone friendly, nice and care free in general. Not that you are not friendly or nice but I think something like a bit more powerful would suit you?" I said as I tried to make sense out of what I just said. "How about Xander?"
"Whatever you want little wolf." He kissed my forehead. "Do you want to train with me someday?"
"Really?" I asked
"Why not?"
"I never thought you would ask. Of course I would want to." I said cheerfully.
I heard him laugh. "Fine then. Tomorrow?"
"Sure."
"We will meet in the forest near the cave at around noon?"
"Done."
We kept talking about other things, getting to know each other more. I did not even realise how fast time passed by as we kept talking for hours until I finally started to feel sleepy.

An Average American in A High-school Academy Anime
An American versed in narrative tropes and more than mildly acquainted with anime wakes up in a completely different bed than the one he went to bed in. Now he has to scramble to understand where he is, what's going on, and hope to God he isn't in a relationship drama. I don't expect this to be good or well-received, but I have plenty of time this quarantine, so I'll try to get a chapter of 4000-10000 words out every one or two weeks. (haha) Please let me know how it can be improved. I'm an avid reader of fiction, but I've never really fallen down a rabbit hole so hard that I can name all tropes and settings and such by heart. I'm not sure if this will be effective satire, so I preemptively apologize. Inspired by: "My Life is Not a Manga, or maybe..." by EO Tenkey and "The Simulacrum" by Eganthale. Check them out if you want probably better stories than this one.

This is the story of a legendary magician, Roma, and how he went from typical high schooler to overpowered sorcerer. From the author: This is my first published work, and frankly this is me playing around with my own fantasies.
