《The Demon's Little Wolf》MOON GODDESS

"Then how do you explain the two of us being mates?"
She wore a shocked as she looked to Alexander then to me and kept repeating the process. "You two are mates?"
"Yes." I answered while the nervousness got the best of me. Why could I not just have a simple life for god's sake!
"Are you sure?"
"Yes we are sure." Alexander said as he look inquisitively at the worried she wolf who was now pacing in the room.
"Amelia could you tell us what is happening?" I voiced out my thoughts.
She looked at me "I don't know. Until now none of us has had a mate. I don't know how you have one but I know someone who can tell you."
"The moon goddess" I chimed in and she nodded before instructing us to follow her. We matched her strides as she frantically moved out from the living room and went to another small room where there were several shelves, displaying several colored solutions and different types of herbs kept in boxes. In the middle of the room, there was a mysterious circle made up of an equally mysterious white ash.
We stood near the door as we watched Amelia gather candles and light them around the circle. She then proceeded to the table and took some of the herbs from a box, crushed them as she placed them in between the neatly placed candles.
"This is where I usually come to communicate with the moon goddess. Step in the circle and I will do the spell. Just as I took the first step, Alexander's phone rang and he had to step out to answer it since he said it was important. Amelia smiled at lightly as I sat crossed legs on the floor. She closed her eyes and muttered some words I was not able to pick up.
As she finished it, she left the room, leaving me in the room alone. At least that is what I thought until I saw a white dazzling light right opposite to where I was sitting. The light slowly faded away to reveal the calm and beautiful face of the moon goddess. All those rumors about her beauty did not do her justice. Her calming light blue eyes, her blond hair, her flawless creamy skin, everything was just beautiful.
"I heard that you needed some answers my child." Her calm voice echoed in the room. Her voice sounded like a sweet melody that I could keep listening to.

"Yes moon goddess. How come I have a mate when I was not supposed to have one?"
She smiled as she assessed my face. "My dear, as you know there is always two parts of a story. I can't tell you about both but I surely can tell you about my part of the story. Usually I don't give black she wolves any mate because many male wolves can't take it to have to have someone stronger than them as their mate. For you, my dear, I already know what would happen in your life."
"You mean you already knew about my life?" She nodded at me. "About how family and I would be? All of it?"
"Yes. That is why I chose to give you a mate. I knew that despite having all these obstacles in your life, you would surely rise up and you did. I could not be prouder to see that I chose the right one once again. I could not watch one of my child being mistreated like this and let's say that I found someone who would had the same fate as you. So, I decided to pair you both together."
"So you mean to say, you made Alexander my mate because he was mistreated too?"
"Like I said, there are two parts to each story. The part of the story that you want to know cannot be answered by me. You know very well who can answer them."
"Alexander." I said in a low voice.
"Just know, sometimes when we join two broken pieces together, it may not be as it once was but it surely creates something new and it can be even better than how it was previously." Somehow her words made sense but also managed to confuse me
"Can I ask you one more thing?"
"Sure."
"Why me? Why did you chose me?"
She chuckled before answering. "My dear you really underestimate yourself. I knew about you before you were born. I knew you would have all the qualities that were required. Who you are today is proof that my judgment was not wrong all these years ago."
I found myself smiling lightly at her words. "Moon Goddess, if you paired Alexander and I together because we somehow had the same fate, then why does he not want to admit that we are mates? He does not act like he is my mate."

"That is related to the second part of the story but are you sure he does not act like your mate? I am pretty sure he must have felt proud to have you as a mate whether he shows it or not. Also he may not act like it right now but I believe that when you needed him he was there for you wasn't he?"
"Yes." I answered as the memories of him holding me close to him while I was dealing with my nightmare came in my head. All the time that he was being possessive as a mate. The time he was angry that I went out there knowing very well I was in danger.
"So, I think you have some of yours answers that you needed."
"Thank you moon goddess." I bowed my head to her.
"Good luck Analise and don't let what others say affect you. Remember I chose you for a reason." As I looked up, she was no longer there. She was already gone. I sighed and got on my feet, dusting my pants off in the process.
I got out of the room and went back to the living room where Alexander was sitting and looking through his phone.
"Did you get your answers?" Amelia's voice attracted both of our attention.
"Hmm. Thank you." She smiled at me. She literally dragged me to the living room and made me sit down on one of the armchairs.
"Now that you have got your answers from the moon goddess, should we get back to why you were actually here."
"I had a question in mind. What did the symbol on the maps represent?"
"It is actually the symbol for the black she wolves. When the moon goddess had chosen Jasmine, she had gotten this mark on her. Even if we don' have it, it remained the symbol for us."
"Ah yes. How did you actually defeat the vampire king?" I ask as I recalled the main reason we came here.
"Well, I must say it was one bloody mess. At that time, he had many allies with him and it was very difficult to even get to him on the battle field. But once I made it, we had to fight and it was a fight to death. It was honestly very hard. With or without powers but if I learnt one thing, that was, not to give up. We kept fighting until I was able to stab him in the heart. Just like there is a special type of silver to kill werewolf leaders, there is a special stake to kill the vampire leader. The fallen stake. Once you mange to stab him in the heart with it, he will die and once he dies, his army will no longer attack since they will have no one to order them. Thus, try to kill him as fast as possible to prevent many deaths."
"About the fallen stake, where do we find it?"
"Well luck is surely on your side since I was the one who hid it once the war is over. There is a secret room in the castle. It is hidden there."
"You mean where your diary was?"
"I see you already found the room and my diary."
"Yeah but I did not see any stakes in that room."
"Did you search properly?"
"Umm, I am not really sure" I said sheepishly
"Hmm. Well, I can only tell you one thing then. Under the moonlight, lies the key to your problem. Find it and open the door to your solution." She grinned at us as if she did not just complicate our work.
"Could you not tell us where it is exactly?" I whined
"It took me a great deal to find that stake. I can't just give it to you on a platter." She chuckled as I groaned.
"Fine. We will search for it." I grumbled. "I think we should leave now because we have to tell them about what we found and also find that stake."
"Ok. It was nice to finally meet you. Good luck with the war." She guided us to the door. She hugged me and we started walking back to our car.
I kept boring holes at the back of Alexander's skull while he walked in front of me. He may not act like he is my mate but his actions contradicted his words. Deep down I know there is someone caring and loving. I am now more bent on to know about him. About his life. About the second part of the story.....
