I stood in front of over two hundred people, preparing to be marked as a pack member. Everyone could feel the power I radiated and I think it confused their wolves. I was so nervous, because I had just found out that the Alpha isn't going to be marking me, but Elliot. Since he was taking over soon, he needed to learn the ropes.

I stood in a gorgeous floor length dress. It was black and turquoise. I had matching makeup but with a purple lipstick. I was also wearing jeweled black flats.

I carefully fiddled with the beautiful ring that Elliot had gotten me. It wasn't and engagement ring or anything like that, but he wanted to profess his love for me and gratitude for giving him a chance.

I think I was starting to have deeper feelings for him and I realized the only reason I hated him in the first place was because my emotions and hormones and everything was all out of wack. I was completely out of it, plus my wolf hadn't matured enough yet to recognize our mate.

The only problem was, my feelings for Jackson weren't going away. They were only getting stronger. Every little thing he did made me love him even more. But hopefully that would be solved when my mate bond fully kicked in and Ana grew the hell up already.

I turned my attention back to the audience when the back doors opened. The Alpha's family walked through, Adam and Jane in the front and Elliot trailing behind. When he saw me, his eyes widened and roamed my body. I could feel my skin tinging yellow again. Then it started getting pink as I realized he hadn't even glanced at any of the other girls trying to get his attention. He only had eyes for me and that kinda made me swoon a little.

Alpha Adam came up next to me while Luna Jane and Elliot took a seat to the side of the stage.

"Today, we are here to welcome a new pack member. Many of you already had the pleasure of meeting her but I would like to introduce her formally with her proper title. Alpha Stella Dea, and your new soon to be Luna" he finished the first part of his speech, saying Luna with distaste. His dislike of me was clear and made even more evident that I was his son's mate.

"She will be welcomed into our pack tonight by my son, the next alpha, Elliot!" Adam gestures for Elliot to come up and stand with me.

Adam whispered to Elliot so nobody else but me would hear what they were saying.

"Son, due to her... irregularities, you are going to have to mark her neck on the spot with the crescent moon and star," Adam whispered in his ear. Elliot nodded and approached me.

"You ready?" He whispered.

"As ready as I'll ever be," I whispered back, pulling my hair away so he could mark me easily.

Elliot inhaled my scent before his canines grazed my neck. I shivered at the strange sensation and Ana purred. I felt Elliot's arms wrap around me as he bit me........hard. I instantly felt my knees go weak by that was soon replaced by a feeling of power as well as feeling like I was connected with everyone in the pack. But even more so, I get a stronger connection with Elliot. He pulled away and looked at me lovingly as I grabbed my neck. It hurt like a bitch, but I managed not to scream out and show weakness.

Mate, Ana purred.

What's up, Ana?

Our mate just marked us, Stella.

Yeah, to induct us. He didn't mate mark us.

But he did. Hunter took over mid bite and changed the purpose of it. So yes, we were inducted, but we also are now claimed.

What! No! He wouldn't!

He did.

Tatiana, this isn't right! It didn't feel like how at all Tara said it would!

Well, duh. The intention of the mark was originally a welcoming, not a mating. So yeah, it was a little off.
