Chapter TWENTY

We were at the cafe for at least half an hour before he asked me out on a date. "Would you like to go out on a date with me tonight? Dinner or a movie perhaps?" He nervously fumbled with his empty coffee cup.

"Um..." I blinked. I wasn't expecting to be asked out, especially by someone I've only met two times, this time being the second.

"I understand if you say no. This must be weird, right? This is the second time we've run into eachother and I'm asking you out." The man laughed nervously.

I smiled lightly. "I'm just a little surprised..." I glanced down at my cup which was almost empty. "I'm sure I have time tonight to catch a movie with you. There is one movie I wanted to go and watch."

His eyes lit up. "Really? Thats great." He looked like he was almost going to jump right out of the chair. "Here, my number." He pulled out a pen from his bag and proceded to scribble his cell number onto a napkin. "Message me when you want us to meet at the theater and I'll be there."

I nodded and gazed at the napkin. This could be my second chance at love.
