"Are you ready, Ri" I said linking my arm around hers. Everyone else had already left for the party, it was only me and Rilyn left standing at home since she was scared to go.

"I think so" she said, before she could change her mind again I pulled her out of the house in to the garden, where the party was taking place.

The music was blasting out loud, people were dancing whether it was by themselves or with their mates, some people were just casually sitting on the tables set out over the garden.

I looked around until my eyes fell on a familiar pair of eyes, making me smile unknowingly. Holding Rilyn's arm we walked over to the table. She went and sat on the seats while I just walked over to Damion, his smile resembled the smile on my face and he got up from his seat, pulling me into a hug. I accepted the hug but a minute later the tingles were back and I stepped away. Its not that I don't enjoy the tingles, in fact I actually like them but I'm not used to them. It makes me feel.... Weird.

He decided to ignore that fact that I move away from him.

"You look beautiful" he said, caressing my cheek with his thumb. I wanted to tell him thats not what he thought 3 years ago. But I decided against it not trying to ruin the current moment. So I just gave him a smile, looking directly in his eyes.

"You don't look half bad" I said, wrapping my arms around his neck, leaning into him and placing my head on the crook of his neck. With one sudden movement he placed his hand on my waist and spun me towards the dance floor making me gasp.

"Can I have this dance?" he said letting go of my waist and holding his hand in the air for me to take.

"Sure"

I accepted his offer by placing my hand on top of his. My smile grew and so did his, one of my hand traveled behind his neck while the other was stretched out held in his hand.

"I'm sorry." Damion said, placing his forehead on mine as we swayed along to the beat of the music.

"I'm sorry too for not listening to you" I said, staring into his sky blue eyes.

"Don't apologise for that. I know I wouldn't have listened to me if I were you. Especially since he gave you everything I couldn't, even if it was fake."

"It was nice for a while. I actually lik-" I started but was cut off when Damion gave out a growl, I laughed a secomd before continuing "okay okay. But you didn't let me finished. I was gonna say I liked it for a bit but now I just want to rapidly punch him in his face until I know he has no teeth left."

"Lex, What if you could?" I heard someone say from behind me. I let go of Damion and turned around to see Sebastian with his arm around Renee's shoulder. I looked at him with furrowed eyebrows.

"What do you mean?" I asked. That's when I noticed that two shadows were standing in the distance with two shadows being dragged on the ground, but due to the pack having fun and partying, no one noticed a thing.

Sebastian placed his other arm around my shoulder leading me through the crowd to the silhouettes.

"I don't like him being so touchy" I heard Renee whisper to me from the other side. Her comment made me laugh.

Once I got there the laugh stopped and a smile creeped on my face. I saw that both Ethan and Lily were on their knees next to Ron and Tom.

"Be my guest, Lex" Sebastian said pointing at the half dead looking guys on the floor. Dammit I want blood to be shed, but now may not be the appropriate timing. But hey you can not deny the lemons life gives you, can you?

I backed my hand up and shot it directly in Ethan's face, the sound of his nose bone cracking was like music to my ears, he groaned but did nothing since he looked like he was seconds before zoning out. I took this as an opportunity to punch him again before he gave out cold. I didn't even bother dealing with the sidekick.

"If you don't mind I'm taking these two with me. " Sebastian said. For the second time today I looked at him with a confused look.

"Wait.... You're leaving again?" I said, he let out a sigh before nodding his head.

"Yeah me and Renee. Tomorrow first thing" he said, I looked over at Renee her lips were pursed into a thin line and her eyes drifted anywhere but at mine. I guess she has no choice. I ran over to Renee and held her in a bone crushing hug.

"I wish you luck. Don't you guys ever forget about me. " I said, trying to swallow the lump in my throat, pointing my finger at both of them. "Oh and for you question. Sure you can take'm both"

I looked away from them both and started walking back towards the party.

I guess now probably me and Damion will have to leave as well, unless I send Jason and Iris to the palace.

I walked back to where the party was taking place and there I saw Rilyn and Damion sitting together at the table. Rilyn looked like she was bored out of her mind.

A few metres away I saw Jack staring at Rilyn from behind, but then his eyes trailed up and made contact with mine. He signalled me to come, at first I was confused but then he got impatient and I decided to give in. I took the closest seat next to him and sat down.

"Can I ask you something?" Jack said, I turned my head to face him, he pointed at someone, I followed his finger to find out that he was pointing at Rilyn "Who is she?"

"Why?"

"Because this might seem weird but..... I feel this connection with her but if she were my mate then she would have felt it as well. Right?" he said, out of breath by the time he finished speaking.

"Well she has been giving a lot more wolfbane that she could tolerate, my guess is that her wolf is dormant, since she was six years old. So chances are that if you feel the connection then she is your mate.....wait a second have you not found your first mate yet?" I exclaimed, suddenly realising that he hasn't found his mate yet.

"What no! I did. But ummm how should I say this...... She rejected me and it hurt like a motherf*cker. I have to hand it to you, you were some strong girl to tolerate that. I can't believe I'm saying this but you have earned my respect. "

I looked at him as if he had grown another head, but the only thing I could say was okay. The only thing my mouth could say was okay? Wow.

"Don't want to keep you long, it seems like your mate is getting really impatient." Jack said taking a sip from his drink while pointing at Damion. I looked at him and he looked very agitated, if this had been some sort of cartoon then I think we would all be seeing some smoke coming from his ears. Just imagine how funny that would be.

"A little advice from me, ask her to dance with you before the ritual, which is in one and a half minutes." I said standing up from the seat and walking to Damion taking the seat next to him while leaning into his shoulder, he placed his head on top of mine. It was a peaceful 20 seconds until Damion decided to break the silence.

"Do you think we could start over?" Damion started as he buried his head into my hair. "Possibly forget everything that's happened."

"I don't know, I don't think I'll ever forget everything that's ever happened" I whispered, then I looked up at him to see that his face had a frown now. "but that doesn't mean I wont try."

A small smile was placed back on his face but it didn't exactly reach his eyes. I gave him a weak smile but then something better came to my mind. I pushed my head up and connected my lips with his, suddenly relaxing in his hold. I swear I could get use to this, I mean I've kissed Lucas and Ethan but I've felt nothing compared to this. This sends butterflies flying in my stomach, my knees go weak and I get goosebumps everywhere. But the moment was to good to last, we had to part a few seconds later because it was time for the full moon ceremony.

Everyone went and stood in a straight line I decided to stand next to Damion while Renee stood next to me with her newly found mate and my long lost friend. Adele and Lucas, Jason and Iris they all stood in front of me. I was surrounded by all the people I love.

On the count of three, everyone that was participating in the ceremony changed into wolf form and sat on their hind legs, howling up at the full moon. Such a beautiful thing.

While everyone was howling at the mesmerising moon, I took some time off and decided to look at the people around me. The newly made friends and the old returned friends. The people I've lost on the way, the people who were once my enemies now my friends, the amazing people I've found on the way. My ex boyfriend with some else, my real mate standing next to me and let's not forget my fake mate who probably in the dungeon. The hopelessness I once felt now replaced with love and affection. I guess I owe all this to once person.

If someone told me all this 10 years ago I would have said they're were mentally ill or something but now that I've lived through this I would even believe if someone said that the earth has been abducted by some weird space alien.

To think that all this started with just little ol' me and a rejection.
