Layla
The night only continued to get better. We danced, talked and laughed the whole night. The guy with the button-up shirt sent me a few more drinks, which only made Daniel angrier. He kept an eye on me, and though he tried to shrug Ingrid off, she followed him around like a lost puppy, which, yes, bothered me too.
It shouldn't bother me, though. Right? We are just friends, and there is nothing between us, and there never will.
So why am I bothered?
I was getting extremely thirsty, and through all the dancing, drinking, and laughing, I noticed a phone was ringing.
I grabbed it off the table and went to the restroom, answering the phone without looking.
"Hello?" I said, placing my other hand on my other ear to listen better. "Layla? Figures. I've been calling you nonstop. Meanwhile, you're out there partying and going out with some other guy already, aren't you?" my heart dropped at the sound of Trevor's voice.
He was the last person I expected to talk to, "Trevor. What the hell do you want?"
"I want you, Layla. I want to talk to you. I want to apologize. Baby, I know I fucked up, and I'm sorry. Please, let's work things out. I forgive you for messing around with this dude I read about in the tabloids; I miss you." I couldn't believe my ears. The audacity of this man could only go as far.
"You forgive me? Did you forget I found you fucking my best friend, Trevor? How dare you call me asking me to go back to you after you slept with Stacy? She's my best friend." I went off on him. If I ever thought our relationship had been special and meaningful, it has now gone down the drain.

"She came on to me, Layla. I swear." I rolled my eyes at his stupid choice of an excuse. "I was drunk and nervous. I wanted to propose to you that night, and then she came and said you weren't coming. She lied to me just to get in my pants. Baby, I, I love you; you know I do."
"No, Trevor. You don't love me. And don't you dare talk shit about my friend behind her back. You know," I thought back to all the rumors I shrugged off in the past. "It wasn't the first time I had heard of you going off with some other girl while I wasn't around, but I never listened. I was so blinded by what I thought we had. But it was always a one-sided relationship. I regret ever going out with you." I fisted my hand as I leaned against the wall, tilting my head back in frustration.
"And what? You're no saint either. Do you think I didn't notice you and that guy being all flirty every time we visited your family? Admit it; He's the same asshole you're dating now. I wouldn't be surprised if you've fucked him already." my blood boiled at his words. I've had such a good day, and this stupid call just ruined it.
"And what if I did? That's none of your damn business anymore. I'm sure you're busy screwing around with all the nurses and girls in town as well."
"Damn right," he answers, making me clench my jaw.
"You know what, Trevor? Screw you. Have a nice fucking life, and don't ever call me again." I was ready to hang up before he spat at me again.
"Oh, please. You're coming home in just a few more days, remember? It won't be long before you run back into my arms and get back with me. So stop your drama, and recognize the fact that you and I are meant to be." I chuckled at his words.

If he thought I would ever go back with him, he had to be completely insane. I can't believe I never saw who he really was. He's nothing but a selfish asshole who thinks he'll get his way, but not with me.
"Dream on, Trevor. I will never, ever get back to you. And just so you know, I am going out with Daniel, and he is much better in bed than you. He's a better man than you. And you will never be half the man he is." I hung up before he could say something, or I said something I would regret.
I turned, ready to leave, but to my surprise, Daniel was standing feet away with his hands crossed wi6h an amused look on his face.
"D- Daniel," I could feel vertigo in my stomach, and I was sure I looked pale from being startled. He approached me, leaning in closer with his hands crossed. "Better in bed, huh? I don't remember us sleeping together, do you?"
"Daniel, I." he didn't let me finish. He kissed me hard, pulling me by my waist against him while interlacing his fingers in my hair. My hands wrapped around his neck as I let a small moan escape me.
Make it the alcohol, the circumstances, or who cares. I was done pushing him away, at least for now. "Daniel, I didn't mean to," I said as we parted, gasping for air. He placed his forehead against mine. Our eyes closed, and I was sure our lips were swollen.
"Sshhh, it's ok. I'm sorry I kissed you suddenly. If you're not ok with it, I understand. I can leave." he says as he begins to pull away. I grip his shirt, pulling him back. "No. It's ok. I want you to,"
He smiles as I look at his lips, my heart racing and butterflies going wild in my stomach. "To what?" his voice was low, sexy, and calm.
"Kiss me," I say, making his lips tug into a smile. "Now, I want you to think it through, Layla. Because once I start, I don't know if I'll be able to stop." he says, making me smile. "I have no intentions of stopping you," I reply, making him chuckle. "I think I'm getting wasted," I said, making him chuckle. "That makes two of us, Ladybug." he replies, making me giggle as I pull him in for another kiss.
The rest of the night was a blur to me. I caved in to my need to forget the stupid phone call and decided on simply having a good time.
I can only recall that Daniel and I danced the rest of the night. We bar hopped the rest of the night, partying from one bar to the next, going to a few clubs, and being wild. I had never drunk so hard in my life. But it was a good night. My sister seemed happy, and that made me happy. And Ingrid had finally backed off for the night, which was a major plus.
But I think I may have made a mistake, as I gave into Danny's arms by the night's end and slept with him. Do I regret it? No, I may have said it to make Trevor mad, but truth is... Danny really is better in bed. So much better.
