《Once More • J.Jk FanFic. ✔️》Chapter 24: Reflection

"Thanks, Mr. Choi, goodnight," I let out to the man in front of me as I bent down to reach for Jungwoo who's still in his car seat.
"Of course Sir, tell Mrs. Jeon I said hello too," He mentioned before he went back inside his car and drove off.
"...I wish," I let out to myself as I brought the boy in my arms back into the house... as I was about to unlock the door the one in my arms began squirming, as if he was asking to get off my grip and so I placed him down as I saw him sit down on one of the steps of the house, facing the front gate.
"Jungjung? What's wrong?" I stopped as I came to sit beside him on the step.
"I am going to wait for Eomma," He remarked to which I grew confused at. "Your Eomma is coming home really late Jungjung,"
"Well, then I'll wait really late," He retorted as I chuckled at his option. I took my jacket off as I laid it on top of him. I decided to play along, sooner or later, he'd find himself falling back asleep.
"Appa," I heard his small voice as I turned my gaze from the night lit sky to the boy beside me as he kept his gaze up.
"Eomma isn't here because Appa and Eomma fight... Right?" He suddenly said as I was taken aback...
"Why did Appa and Eomma fight?" He continued as I only sighed at his question... but then turned to look right back at the night sky.
"Appa just isn't sure of something... he's just... scared..." I replied.
"I'm afraid to commit to something or because of what happened in the past... and what might happen in the future,"
I didn't hear him respond to what I said, damn I shouldn't have said that, maybe I just confused him further-
"You know Eomma said once," He cut my thoughts off.
" "
I fell silent at that as I kept my gaze on the sky but took in what the boy had just said. I was honestly taken aback at what he'd just said...
or I will be missing out on what's happening right now... and not worry about any outcomes...
I felt the boy suddenly drop his head on my lap, alerting me now that I could finally take him inside but instead I placed my hand on his shoulder and gazed at him... gazing at what's happening to me right now making sure not to
The longer I looked, the longer I saw the resemblance of her... making me miss her more... making me realize how stupid I was to doubt them... to push them away when really, they're just there to actually make things a whole lot better... over becomes of what happened in the past when she left me...
"Appa?" I heard the little one said quite groggily, telling me how he's still somewhat asleep. "" He suddenly asked... I was taken aback by the question but soon smiled at his stupid inquiry as I coughed to make my answer clear as possible as I was very sure of what my answer was... perhaps it was the surest answer I could have ever said in my whole entire life...

"Appa! Look!" Jungwoo exclaimed as he waved his hand toward me when he reached the top of the Jungle Gym. I simply smiled and gave him a wave back as I admired him from the park bench.

"Looks like you've finally been spending your time well," I heard a familiar voice from beside as it caused me to turn my head to the side and saw Jin Hyung approaching me. I chuckled at his remark as I brought my gaze back to the boy playing with the group of kids.
"I suppose I am very wise with my time now, after all, I am spending it with my son," I remarked back as he took a seat beside me on the bench.
"What suddenly made you want to spend your break time with him?" He continued.
"He makes it better... they make it all better, it always has been but I guess I was just pushing them away in the beginning, I guess I've learned to... ," I couldn't help but felt his warm smile toward me as I grew a bit oblivious as to why.
"Hm, you seemed like you moved on, but enough about you, how is he?" He inquired as he pointed at the little one running across the playground.
"He's... great," I simply said as I looked down at my watch and saw the time. "Jungwoo! Come here and eat your lunch!" I called out for him to which he came up running toward me to grab his sandwich that I handed him as I made him sit on my lap.
"How's is ..." He said to which I immediately wiped the smile off my face. "I don't know..."
"What do you mean?" He said as I saw him quickly fix his posture as his gaze on me sharpened.
"We fought a few days ago and before I knew it, she wasn't there when I woke up the next day, she hasn't come back since..."
I instantly grew confused when I saw the man beside me suddenly bend forward, dying of laughter to the point where his wind-shield wiper laugh had come into play.
"She didn't tell you did she?" He managed to let out to me through his laughter. "Tell me what?!"
","
" I-I thought s-she left m-me-"
"No bitch,, you actually thought she left you!" He said lastly before dying from laughter as I stood there shocked and yet super relieved. The one in my arms grew confused as to what exactly was happening but he stood up from my lap and came onto check up on the dying man on the sand.
I felt a tear suddenly crawl it's self down my cheek as I immediately wiped it off and stood up while taking the little boy back into my arms.

I stared at the couple trophies Jungkook won today on the award ceremony that was placed on the bar in front of me, gazing at each and every one of them as all of them contained his name in it.
I still felt a bit queasy for leaving him out of the blue, especially from a fight but I was getting late for my flight to Dague, I suppose I didn't have time tell him in person that I was going off for the award show but I still felt a bit salty that night from the fight we had.
What pisses my off the most is the fact that I lost my phone while traveling so I had no way of contacting them, but of course, I tried to use the hotel's phone, to try to call Jungkook but instead of Jungkook actually picking it up, my little angel picks it up himself as he says a small hello and ending the call before I could even say anything else, , at least I knew Jungwoo was doing fine...

But I still can't help but feel lonely here... having no one, my flight back to Seoul is tomorrow and I just can't wait to come back home and see those two handsome boys of mine, to hug them once more and to finally say sorry to Jungkook, for that fight we had...
But here I was, trying to keep my mind busy by coming to the award's afterparty, only to feel lonelier as I looked at every single one of those rich looking bastards who I don't know at all.
I sighed as I signaled toward the waiter to get me some more orange juice but found myself looking toward the door next to me which led to the reserved area up in the roof, everyone seemed to have been coming downstairs? , now the venue is going to get even more crowded.
I only shook my head as I went back to drinking my orange juice but to only divert my gaze back around as I felt a sudden tap on my shoulder from behind.
I thought it was going to be a certain someone but I saw a foreign face instead as I saw him extend his hand toward me as if offering for me to dance to the classical music that had begun to play around the venue.
"Care for a dance?" He mentioned as he wiggled his hand as if trying to convince me to take it but I only shook at his offer and thought he would understand from there but instead the man suddenly took me by the hand and dragged me toward the middle of the venue where everyone danced.
I immediately gasped as I felt his hand surround my waist, I quickly slapped it off but he then placed it on my shoulder, and in the other around my hand. I tried to run away but his grip on me kept me in place.
"Sir, can you please let me go-"
"No can do Ms." He let out as his grip on me tightened as I couldn't help but scrunch my face at that but then I soon saw a tough veiny hand appear on the man's shoulder causing me to travel my eyes to who this person was only to see...
"May I have my turn to dance with this lady?" I heard him let out as I saw him stare back at me, mouthing the words "Nice to see you love" towards me as I stayed silent.
"Why exactly should I give you this lady here?" The man asked as he still kept his gaze on me without even looking at the man who he remarked at.
I saw the way Jungkook scoffed as he took his grip in the man's shoulder and pushed it forward making the man in front of me shift toward his direction, as soon as he saw who'd been talking to him this whole time, he gulped down a huge lump down his throat.
"Oh! , I didn't know you were going to be coming tonight-"
"May I have this dance with my wife now?" Jungkook interrupted the man as he only shifted his gaze from Jungkook to me as he'd suddenly planted a shocked look.
"Y-yeah of course," He lastly said before running off deeper into the venue. I switched my gaze back to Jungkook as soon as I felt his hand wrap around my waist as he began moving along with the music, taking me aback.
"Hello, princess," He let out along with a smirk to me to which I cocked my head to the side to avoid his gaze as we danced along with the music, yeah sure I was just complaining about wanting to talk to him earlier but now I just felt salty again.
But he ended up softly taking my chin into his grip as he turned my head to face toward him once again leading me to bring my gaze back to his beautiful brown orbs, I never realized how... serious they were until now, they were filled with such sincerity, passion, and sorrowfulness...
"Please talk to me?" He begged as I only looked down, suddenly remembering what he told me the last time I spoke to him... he told me he wasn't sure if he cared about us enough... so I suppose I now I wasn't sure either...
"Suyoung," He began as I kept my eye contact on the ground.
""He said as I brought my gaze back to his as I saw him warmly smile at that as he continued.
"I am so sorry for lashing at you like that, I-i was really upset from work, my f-father called, and then I had a small nostalgia back to when you left me... I couldn't help but lose control over my sanity..."
"I was scared that you were going to leave me... again..." Before I knew it, I began tearing up at that.
"L-leave you?! Jungkook... we won't ever do that," I let out to him as I saw him start to lean down and ended up resting his forehead against mine but still kept eye contact with me as his fingers wipe the tears off my cheek.
"" He whispered as he wiped another tear that began crawling down my cheek.
"I missed you," He told me ever so genuinely. "I'm sorry," He continued. "And...
I merely smiled at that as I leaned down and rested my forehead against his chest, taking in his warm and home-like presence.
"" I said as I knew he heard as he'd suddenly wrapped his arms around me, bringing me to his embrace...
I hugged him back as I began to think about Jungwoo. "Jungkook?" I called out to him but he let out a soft "Hm," at that as a reply.
"Where is Jungwoo?" I said to which I brought my gaze back to him only to see a smirking bunny.
"Come with me," He suddenly said as he grabbed my hand and pulled me toward the roof door. "Jungkook, I don't think the security is going to let us in... they closed it down earlier," I informed him as he planted another sly smirk on his face as he chuckled.
"Well, who do you think closed it down?" He said as he looked back at me as it suddenly brought me into a realization...
He only gave the security a nod as they immediately opened the roof door for Jungkook, I saw the way the security gave me a smile as I only waved back as they closed the door behind us.
"Jungkook," I called out to him again as I began to grow concerned. "" I cut myself as soon as I saw bright lights up ahead the staircase and as I got closer, a roof filled with lights came into view as I heard music playing in the background and saw a table in the middle as there... seated on one of the seats was my little boy...
"Eomma!" He exclaimed as he immediately got off his seat and ran toward me as I only leaned down and extended my arms out to him.
I brought my gaze back up as I saw Jungkook with a camera taking pictures of us then, looking me right in the eyes...
"You set all this up?" I said as I saw the rest of the roof's table were set on the corner while one table was situated in the middle as a meal was presented on it. I stood up from my position and made my way toward the table with the little one still in my arms.
"Yes I did," he replied as he pulled a chair out for me to sit to which I gladly took after I placed Jungwoo back in his seat.
I looked down and saw unmarinated Hanwoo, my favorite? I shifted my gaze back to Jungkook as he merely gave me a wink before we began digging in.
Before we knew it, an orchestral found themselves next to us as I couldn't help buts smile at what Jungkook's efforts... I came beside Jungwoo and swiftly took him into my grip and began dancing with him. He giggled as I spun him around.
I turned my gaze back to the man who was merely smiling at us, admiring us as if we were his whole world. I extended my hand out to him but he refused but then the orchestral began playing soft music instead.
I wiggled my hand still offering it out for him and he finally gave in and took it and I immediately dragged him toward us as I brought Jungwoo up to my arms leaving Jungkook to only surround his arms around us as we slowly moved through the soft music playing.
We simply smiled at each other's presence, saying nothing else as we kept our focus on each other...
I couldn't help but stare at our reflection through the glass window in the neighboring building, I stared at the beautiful sight... It seems I was the only one who had my eyes open as the two of them had their eyes closed.
I found myself looking up at the night's starlit sky, leaving me there to think... what a beautiful life I have...
.
.
.
We waved goodbye at the orchestral as they gave a bow before going downstairs only leaving us three there on the roof as we star gazed. Jungwoo on the other hand fell asleep on my lap so leaving me and Jungkook awake.
Jungkook cuddled me from behind as I leaned my head against his tough chest, taking in his warmth, scent, or merely his presence...
"Jungkook, you said you wanted to tell me something about your father earlier? What is it? You can tell me now," I let out to him as I felt his arms around my tense to which I suddenly grew concerned.
I picked my head up as faced him, looking him in the eyes as he spaced out.
"Well, well, well, look who we have here, what brings you here..." My father said roughly to me as I can't help but plant a smirk on my face.
"Remember a few weeks back, about that family you mentioned, the one with the debt and all," I let out as I leaned against the rugged wall of this warehouse still staring at my father and his men.
"Yeah? What about them?", "They're in Seoul," I let out as I saw how they all smirked at that. "Boys, suit up, we're going to Seoul," My father demanded the others as he only stood up and came up to me.
"Good job my boy, now tell us, where can we find them?"
"Oh, that Suyoung girl works on the Jeon corp. HQ, I'm pretty sure you're aware of where that is already," I simply said to which all of them suddenly stopped and stiffen, especially my father.
"Suyoung you say? As in... " They gasped as I grew confused.
"Yeah-", "Oop- boys, calm yo tits, we ain't going anywhere," My father mentioned as he sat back down while I was only taken aback.
