《Once More • J.Jk FanFic. ✔️》Chapter 22: Still Hesitant

I felt... nothing...
I swiped my hands against the empty space beside me on the bed realizing... he wasn't there... .
I only sighed at that remembering his tight schedule lately, ever since that day of the play, he'd got himself involved in a new project, working late and coming home really late to only go back to work early in the morning meaning that, I barely get to see him at all... barely get to see him.
I could only feel his warm hugs in the middle of the night only to feel them disappear in only a few hours as my half-awake state could see him getting up as he put his suit back on as he leaves.
If I recall, the only emotion I see in him is just pure frustration and exhaustion.
I looked at the room one more time as I sighed.
I just hope he's doing okay.
.
.
.
I came to the kitchen only to see Jungwoo eating an omelet?
"Jungwoo, sweetie, where did you get that?" I inquired as I rubbed my eyes, don't tell me he cooked it himself.
"Appa made it for me before he went to work," He yelled as I approached him as he was already dressed up in his uniform.
"Hm," I let out as I can't help but smile to myself. I suppose he doesn't forget his duties as a father too I suppose?
"But Appa looked mad and sad again," Jungwoo mentioned as I carried him off his seat as I placed his book bag onto his back.
"I know Jungwoo, I know," I simply said as I crouched down to be at eye level with him.
"But we're here to go through it with him and help him, right?" I reassured him as he beamingly nodded at that.
"Sorry to break it to you Madam, but we shall get Jungwoo to school now," I heard a very formal voice call out to me, I smiled as I turned my head toward the direction as I saw the new driver Jungkook hired for us the day he started to get busy. I saw the way he smiled back as the wrinkles in his face had gotten worse as he smiled joyfully back at me.
"Good morning, Mr. Choi," I said as I bowed at the old man.
"Madam, you'll be late too if we don't get ongoing," He mentioned as I suddenly took my purse at that as I listened.
"Well then, shall we go?"
.
.
.
"How much more paperwork to go Jin Hyung?" I called out to the man who lazily sat on the stacks of paperwork.
"Oh, just a few couple hundred more to go Jungkook," I sighed at that as I dropped the pen on the table as I brought my hands up to my eyes to rub them.
"We also have to do the annual check-ups for each department and you have to go to the production department to approve of the new product they've made. Then you're going to need to pack for the weekend trip, we're going to need to go to Daegu for that award ceremony that's being held-"

He stopped as he quickly stared at my frustrated form, looking at my pair of palms that were beaming red as I'd just slammed the table.
"Jungkook?-"
"I already have enough on my ass, the rest is fine Hyung but cancel the visit to Daegu,"
"But Jungkook-"
"Just cancel it!" I yelled to stop him from retorting anymore as I went back to my paperwork.
"Hey, Isn't it your break? you should go get some rest-"
"Hyung, just let me be, I just want to finish up for the day so I could finally go... I said as I saw the way he paused but then eventually sneaked a small smile onto his face.
"Well, I won't argue with that, see you in the production department later," He let out as he began walking toward the exit.
I went back to finishing up the paperwork but the older man took a halt as he heard my office phone ring.
"I'll answer that," He said as he watched my focused state but as he approached the phone I saw the way he tensed up as he stared at the caller ID.
"J-jungkook," He called out to which I picked my head up to look at his... terrified look.
"Hyung?"
""
.
.
.
"Jin Oppa?" I called out to the man as he got out of the office, looking quite exhausted. Are they already done with their paperwork? I exclaimed to myself, so does that mean I could finally meet him?
"Are you guys taking your break?"
"I am but your husband there doesn't believe in those," He mentioned as I sat back down on my seat as I pouted.
"Oh, so what brings you out here?"
"Jungkook kicked me out," I bludged my eyes from that, "He did? why?".
"Eh, he just got really angry over the phone with someone that's it, it happens often, sort of..."
"I think I should go talk to him-", "No!" He cut me off, "Your husband's quite something when he's pissed," He mentioned which reminded,
Yeah, hequite something...
"I guess... is there anything else you need," I blurt out to him, changing the subject.
"Well, I do need to find out what the number is of that media company from Daegu, we're trying to cancel Jungkook from the guest list,"
"What why?!"
"Your husband just wants to 'rest' for the weekend,"
"But those people, they worked so hard to get him to come, and now he's canceling on them?"
"Yeah but-", "I'm going," I cut him off.
"You're going?", "Yeah, I might as well help, I don't want him to get into more people's bad lists, plus, I'm a Jeon anyway,"
He stayed silent for a while as he stared into space, looking as if he was really thinking about something but I suppose he shook the thought off as he suddenly let out a smile.
"Okay," He answered as he gave me a file that he was holding earlier.

"" He mentioned before leaving only leaving me there to think...
I shook the thought off as I took the file and looked through, hm, a business trip to Daegu?
I looked at the time and realized office hours were over, might as well tell Jungkook about this right now?
.
.
.
"Jungkook?" I called out to him as I closed the door behind me. I looked and I saw him on his chair, pen in hand as he swiftly drifted the pen over the paper.
"Princess, what did I tell you?" He let out ever so roughly, which surprised me. I haven't heard that tone against me in a long time.
"I know, I know I'm not supposed to be here right now but I just figured I-"
"Suyoung," He cut me off as he finally brought his eyes at me, quite pissed.
"I just figured that I should tell you right now since-"
"Suyoung!"
"Since you'll be coming home late-"
"" He finally yelled, bringing a chill down my back.
"Jungkook?" I called out as I found myself walking toward his pissed state.
"Are you okay? Y-you know you can come to us to-"
"Oh?" He started as he brought his face up to look at me with one of the most glaring faces of all.
"And why do you think I should come to.. you?" He paused as he stood up, now towering over me.
"When all you do is nothing but cause one of the most... diabolical things, that's ever happened in... my... Life,"
He lastly said before I began walking off the office.
W-what happened to him?
.
.
.
"Why didn't Appa eat dinner with us again," I let out a forced smile at that as I started caressing his features.
"He's just busy with work again," I said before tucking him in.
"He also hasn't played with me yet, it has been two days already," He mentioned as I simply smiled at him.
We shifted our heads towards the doorway as we heard pots and pans clashing.
"Appa?" Jungwoo exclaimed under me as he got up but I was quick enough to have carried him back to his bed.
"Jungwoo stay here," I frantically let out as I closed the door behind me.
I heard the noise coming from downstairs and so I went down, I couldn't help but have felt my heart rate beating faster and faster but only to stop as his form came into view.
He was opening each and every cabinet, throwing every object it could possibly have.
"Jungkook!" I called out to him but he didn't listen as he continued, searching for what?
""
... Cigarettes? I thought he stopped...
"Where are they?!" He continued as I couldn't help but have burst out at that.
"Cigarettes? I thought you quit!" I yelled back as loud as I could, finally gaining his attention.
"Y-you... said that you started because life hasn't been treating you well? Huh?!"
"Well, you're right, and guess what life hasn't-"
"" He paused at that as I yelled with all my heart.
"Suyoung-"
"A-are we not..." I paused as I felt my throat clog a bit as I'd just realized how the tears had begun streaming down my face.
"" I inquired as he stood there... u-unsure... what to say...
"" He said and at that, I felt myself storm out.
"I'm not sure," His words lingered in my head as I couldn't help but have started to sob at that as I ran up the stairs.
"Turns out, he wasn't the husband and father I thought he was..."
""
.
.
.
"" She said as I saw her frustrated state...
I didn't know what to say, I was confused... I just couldn't help but look at her and remind myself of what had happened to me these past four years and...
She wasn't there by my side... and now you're back, and you're this whole new person... that's different, but I still can't help myself to feel confused about what to think anymore...
"I-i'm not sure," and at that, I saw the way she stormed out as I tried to run after her but I saw small figure crying silently behind the doorframe... Jungwoo... he witnessed it all?
"Jungwoo" I called out to him as I came up to him to take him into my hold but he suddenly screamed as he brought himself up as he ran upstairs I ran after them but as soon as I came up to his room he closed the door on me... I turned my head back only to see her figure go in the guest's room...
Leaving me there by myself... I couldn't think as I decided to walk up to our bedroom...
I closed the door behind me as I've entered the bedroom, it was only me... this nostalgic feeling of these past four years came back... I'm lonely again...
I couldn't tell what I kicked as it was dark in the room, but as I saw it move toward the wall, I saw it was a luggage bag, it made a dent.
I looked back as myself and looked around the room.
"I am just confused," I heard myself sobbed out.
"I just know that," I paused as I felt a sudden tear trickle down my face... feeling a pang of hurt finding it's self up to my heart.
A feeling I almost forgot until now...
""
.
.
.
I quickly shot my eyes up, I heard sobbing, Jungwoo's sobbing, I felt myself quickly sit up at that as I came up to his room.
I saw his figure crying as he held his pillow tight into his arms.
"Jungwoo, what happened?" I inquired the little one as I sat next to him.
"W-What happened to Eomma?"
