《Slave, My Mate》Chapter 31

Williams POV

I could barely hear Scarlett, I mean 977501, past the annoying ringing in my ears. What had made that god awful sound.

"Oh hi honey." I said my voice shaking. I didn't want to kill her, she wasn't actually my mate, but I didn't want to kill her. In the beginning, I thought that we actually had a connection. It wasn't until Tyne came that I realized that it was impossible for that to happen.

Tyne was a vampire, a full fledge vamp, the likely hood of me beating him was high but since scar- I mean 977501 intervened before I could he got away. Then she shifted, full fledge angel, a werewolf and angel mating is so rare it's only happened once, her alleged parents. Before even coming here I checked the mating books, took forever, but I checked. Normal people would think that it would make sense that she would fallow the bloodline, except that Fantasia and Whitlock never had a child. Meaning the connection that I thought was a mate bond wasn't and couldn't have been that. And looking at her now, I understand why I was so put off by her in the first place. She's pale and sickly looking.

Going off of what my father said I did a little more digging into the relation ship between Fantasia and Whitlock, and I found that they were still in separate states when 977501 was 'born'; she must have been placed. Being an angel gives her birth the ability to be as simple as just showing up one day at someone's doorstep. Since no one had reported anything about a angel child Fantasia and Whitlock must have not found her till the next year. Which would mean someone, or something, had taken care of her. The moon goddess. My father was completely right, 977501 is the moon goddess's daughter.

"What's going on? What's that?" 977501 said calmly rubbing her skeleton face. She looked so close to death, her eyes were sunken in and dark, her hair was ratted and a mess from the lack of showers, her skin was sickly pale. Ugly was the only word I could use to describe her.

"I would say I'm sorry but I'm not. You have to die slave. I know you must be so confused." I chuckled evilly. I sounded like my father, excellent. "Your to ugly to have ever been my mate, your worthless, pathetic, a waste of space. I'm going to kill you, so be a good little ugly slut and let me kill you." I was looking for the burst of fear in her eyes but it never came.

I took a step forward and raised my dagger in anger. How dare she not cower in fear and beg me to let her live! Before I could lower my hand a figure stepped out of the shadows and a bang echoed throughout the room. I looked down, blood was seeping through my shirt. The pain began to shoot through my body. Silver bullet. I fell to my knees, and grabbed my stomach in agony. I had never felt the burning agony of a silver bullet. I was going to die.

The man stepped out in front of me and grabbed my hair, yanking it so I would look at him. "Goodbye William."
