"You are mine!" I yelled. As soon as I did it I regretted it. Her eyes went far away. Their beautiful green was gone and replaced with a light brown.

"Scarlett? Baby girl I'm sorry for yelling. Please?"I begged her. "Scarlett?" She didn't reply. Her eyes got farther and farther away.

"Mom!" I yelled. Panic started to flow through my mind. What was wrong with her? Why wasn't she responding?

"What will?" Mom yelled back.

"Something is wrong with Scarlett get dad NOW!" I yelled back.

Mom never responded. I heard the front door open and slam shut.

"Scarlett please love. Look at me please!" I shook her. Her head flopped around, her eyes stayed open. She looked dead, her breathing was slow and even.

Her eyes continued to change color, lighter and lighter brown. Her lips were slightly spread open. They were the most amazing shade of pink, they were plump and soft looking. Breath slowly passed through them.

"Come back to me Scarlett. Please come back to me." I whispered to her.

"What's going on son?" I heard my dad's deep voice from behind me.

"She is gone. Look at her. She's gone."I whispered bringing her closer to me. Wrapping my arms around her small waist. She stayed completely still. Her bruise covered arms stayed locked by her sides. The white tank top she was wearing rode up just a little bit in the back. I gently rubbed the skin showing.

"She's in shock William. She will be ok. Lay her down so she gets more blood to her head. I'll call Madame Jezebel to do a species diagnostic on her." My dad said calmly putting a hand on my shoulder. Why a species diagnostic. She isn't human?

"She isn't human?" I asked as I picked her up gently. Moving her legs around my waist.

"Human eyes don't change color like that, I think she is part human part something else. That's why I was so drawn to her at the slave house." He said. His hand slipped from my shoulder. " I'll leave you to be now. Let her rest." He turned and went down the hall into his office.

"Come on my Scarlett. Let's get you cleaned up ok?" I softly spoke to her. Walking toward my room, I heard something fall in the room next to me. It must have been the wind. It was impossible to get into the pack house uninvited.
