"So, she didn't...leave me?" Gareth leaned against his desk which he had picked it up himself realising the mess he had made. His nose red and eyes puffy from crying though he stopped crying now.

"Believe me, Gareth. She loves you." Aeryn assured him, making his heart skip a beat learning she loves him.

By now even Carmel had joined them there beside Aeryn and Everette, equally concerned about Harper.

Gareth ran his hand down his face. "Then where is she?"

"Anyone you suspect?" Everette asked and Gareth was about to shake his head considering Isaiah wasn't even here but stopped on realising something. "Archie..."

"Archie?" Everette questioned. "Who's he?"

"Her best friend." Aeryn answered making Everette frown. "Aren't you supposed to be her best friend?"

Aeryn rolled her eyes. "I am. But he is her childhood best friend." And she directed her question to Gareth. "But why Archie? He's harmless and he is her best friend...why will he hurt her?"

"He has feelings for her. He likes her. He confessed recently but of course she rejected him. Maybe...just maybe...he might have kidnapped her..." Gareth stated the possibility.

"Kyle!" Gareth called for him and he came running in a second later. "Yes, sir?"

"Find me Archie Lennon's number. He lives in Irvine, California. I need his phone number as quickly as possible."

"Okay, sir." He replied running out again to work on it.

He sat on the edge of his desk and rubbed his temples, all he could think about was Harper and where she is.

"Mama, I'm hungry..." Carmel whispered to Aeryn and on hearing it, Everette said he will order something for them.

Everette ordered some food for them and knowing Gareth won't even touch it, he went over to the small refrigerator in the corner of his office and as expected, he saw a packet of bread and a block of butter in there.

So, he made Gareth his bread butter sandwich and handed it to him, which he first refused not realising what it is but accepted later, eating it with a scowl on his face.

Everette squeezed his shoulder. "We'll find her, brother. She will be okay."

"She's even pregnant..." Gareth whispered gloomily.

"She will be okay, brother. She will be okay." Everette assured him in a low voice though he wasn't assured himself.

Later, Kyle came running in saying he found Archie Lennon's number and Gareth called him immediately.

He picked up a few rings later. "Yes? Who's this?"

"Archie...this is Gareth Wilbrose."

"Gareth...what do you want now?"

"Where is Harper?" He came straight to the point, his voice turning cold.

"What do you mean by where is she? Isn't she supposed to be with you?"

"She disappeared." He stated. "Where is she?"

"She disappeared?! And you think I have something to do with it?"

"I suspect you, Archie." He gritted his teeth. "Didn't she rejected you after you confessed your feelings? Maybe..it had hurt your ego."

"Listen here, Mr Wilbrose, yes she rejected me but she is my best friend. I have known her since I was a baby. I would never ever hurt her. NEVER. And find her soon, she better be safe."

There was blank expression on Gareth's face, he never expected this.

He cleared his throat embarrassingly. "I...um...I apologise. I didn't mean any disrespect."

Archie sighed. "I'm sorry too but please...find her, Gareth."

"I will." And he hung up the call.

Kyle was the first to ask. "Any progress, sir?"

Gareth shook his head. "No..." He rubbed his temples trying to find a solution. Something that might help.

No one said anything as Gareth seemed to be in a deep thought. And suddenly his eyes widened and he snapped his head to Kyle. "Call Matthew Hamilton." And he handed his phone to him as he wasn't in the mood to search his number.

"What?" Everette said. "Why him?"

"Kyle, just call him. Now." Kyle nodded promptly searching his contact.

"Why are you calling him? What he has to do with all this? He lives in Australia for God's sake." Everette spoke.

"Exactly, brother. He lives in Australia. And that's where Isaiah is. He can help."

"You can't randomly call him and ask for his help."

"He's a friend." Gareth explained. "He will help. I know him."

"Sir." Kyle handed the phone back to Kyle after dialling Matthew's number.

Gareth waited patiently for him to pick up his call which he fortunately did after a few rings. "Hey, Gareth! How you doing, mate?"

Gareth sighed on hearing his voice. "Matthew...I need a favor."

"A favor? How can I help?"

"My...fiance, she's missing."

"Oh...so..."

"I just need you to keep an eye on Isaiah Abraam. He's in Sydney only. She's with him, I am 100% sure."

"Isaiah Abraam...I just had a meeting with him. A few hours ago."

"Yes. Please, Matthew."

"Sure, mate. I'll keep an eye on him and inform you if I notice anything suspicious. And what are you going to do?"

"I'm coming to Australia. I'll see you there. Thank you."

"No problem. See you soon." And the call ended.

"Have you gone mad? You are going to Australia, what if she isn't there? What if Isaiah isn't guilty?" Everette questioned him.

"She is, brother. Isaiah is guilty. Other than him who else will take her?"

"I am coming with you." Everette stated firmly.

"I am coming too." Aeryn added.

"Me too." Carmel chirped in.

"No one's coming with me. I am going alone."

"Like hell I will let you." Everette rolled his eyes.

"Brother..."

"I am coming with you, Gareth. That's final. Or else you aren't going."

Gareth groaned loudly. "Fine! Let's go on a fucking picnic to Australia."

"There's a child in here!" Aeryn scolded refering to Carmel.

"Sorry." Gareth mumbled.

"Kyle, tell them to get the jet ready." Gareth ordered and Kyle ran out to complete his orders.

"We are going to Australia."

.

.

Her headached as she slowly opened her eyes, the light in the room was too bright for her liking. Rubbing her temples, she slowly sat up straight.

Her brows knitting together in confusion. This isn't Gareth's room.

Where is she?

Throwing the duvet off her body, she stood up, frantically looking around. Her eyes fell on the glass door leading to the small balcony.

She ran towards it, it was locked but looking through it, one thing was confirmed. She isn't in Houston, because Houston doesn't have a fucking Sydney Opera House.

What the fuck? She thought. Why is she in Australia? Where's Gareth?

She heard the door to the room opening and her heart started beating faster. Her hand unconsciously covering her belly.

Not knowing what to do, she just stood there like a statue and the door opened making her face pale.

"Harper. Finally you are here."

"What the fuck is the meaning of all this, Isaiah?!" She yelled.

Isaiah smirked stepping more closer to her. "Didn't I warn you? I said you will soon be with me. And here you are."

Harper mind replayed their conversations from a few days before when he showed up outside the restaurant. She didn't tell it to Gareth cause she didn't want to worry him.

"Let me go, Isaiah!"

He clicked his tongue. "Not so easily."

"Gareth must be looking for me already. You think you can get away with this?"

He sat down on the edge of the bed nonchalantly. "Is he? Is he looking for you? Or is he busy hating you?"

"W-why will he hate me?"

"Well, you see...he got a small message from you saying that you are leaving him."

Harper's jaw dropped. "What?"

Isaiah shook his head sarcastically. "Poor Gareth."

Harper's heart sunk. She promised she won't leave him and now he must be thinking that she left him for some stupid reason. Tears formed in her eyes. No. She needs to see him.

Isaiah stood up and walked closer to her. "Now, that you are finally here. Let's talk about what I want."

Harper gulped holding back her tears. "Why are doing this, Isaiah? What do you want from me?"

"I was coming to that. I just want you, Harper. That's it. I tried asking this nicely before but you refused so I had no other option left."

"No. I love Gareth. I will never leave a gem for you. You are a fucking asshole."

Isaiah placed both his hands on either side of her head, trapping her between him and the door to the balcony. He leaned closer. "Stop being stubborn, Harper. You will succumb to me."

"I will not succumb to you! Ever!"

He gritted his teeth. "I want you, Harper. And I won't stop until I make you succumb to me."

"Then keep trying for the rest of your life." She spat.

"All this feistiness just because you lost your child eight years ago?"

"That child meant a lot to me. More than you can ever think. I was happy to have it. I wanted it. But you ruined my dream in seconds."

"It was a mistake!" He hissed.

"If you had regretted it, Isaiah. Even said a small sorry I would have forgave you but you didn't. You never cared for me." By now a tear fell from her eye.

"I am saying it now! I regret it now!"

"I don't care now! Go fuck yourself!"

Isaiah gripped her jaw tightly. "What does he have that I don't?"

"A heart." She hissed. "And you are a monster, Isaiah Abraam."

He looked down to her belly and smirked. "I'll show you what a monster I am."

"I swear, Isaiah, if anything happens to this child, I will kill myself along with it. I swear. Dare you touch it!" She warned, tears threatening to spell.

Isaiah's face blanked, Harper was what he wanted. If anything happens to her, he will lose her. That he can't afford.

So, without saying anything else, he turned around and walked out of the room, slamming the door shut.

And Harper fell down on the floor as tears rolled down her eyes.
