I wake up the next morning by a hand on my cheek. As I look up, I find Mateo stroking it.

What is this bastard doing here!?

He first left me coldly the other night and now he is here... being so warm and kind...

I sit up, slapping his hand away and I immediately regret it...

"Sorry!" I say quickly.

He just stares at me, looking over my face. His hand goes to my neck and he squeezes a little. I stay still, scared yet exciting what he would do... would he kiss me? Or is he going to hurt me?

"You were... crying?" he asks me in a deep voice.

I nod and I feel his grip tightens.

Shit! Are my eyes red? Or did my mascara run out?

I didn't mean to cry yesterday but I just couldn't help it... he left me... like everyone in my life...

I feel the pain in my chest from 13 years ago...

My parents were everything to me... they were my reason to stay alive but now...now they are gone I still don't know why I'm here...

The last memory I got from them was when my mom drove me to school, we were arguing about what we would eat while my dad was on his phone, calling who know who... but it was something about his work... I know that for sure... he said something about money and shares...

"Emily!?" Mateo says and I cut off my memory.

I look at him, confusing coating his beautiful face....

I hide my face, feeling it warm up and turning my head away but the hand gripping my neck a few minutes ago, grip my chin.

I look at him again, in his dark yet cold eyes...

"Go wash yourself! We need to talk!" his head comes closer to my face and I think he is going to kiss me, so I part my lips but last minute he turns away, standing up and goes out of the room.

He doesn't give me a second glance as he stalks out.

I walk into the living room and notice two big guys standing behind Mateo. I also see that Mateo just put his gun back into his jacket.

That was weird... and who are those guys anyway?

I stalk over to them and Mateo turn around, he freezes in track as his eyes roam over my body. I just wear a regular shirt and some shorts. Nothing special. Maybe it's too short? I show off my thighs a little, and I also don't wear a bra..

I blush a little as he keeps looking at me.

"Mateo...?" I ask and he comes back to reality.

He clears his throat and begins to talk. "Emily, meet Kevin and James, your new bodyguards" and I stare at the guys.

Kevin is a big guy who is slightly a few inches bigger than Mateo and is also more muscular, he has blond hair and brown eyes; he also wears a black tuxedo and has a pair of glasses in his hand... James is not a very muscular like Kevin but he at least is stronger than me, he also wears a black tuxedo but he wears his pair of glasses, so I can't see his eyes.

"Nice to meet you" I say, smiling to them but they don't return it back...sad... "But... why do I need them anyway?" I ask, standing a little awkwardly on my feet.

"Because I want to know where you are 24/7" he replies simple. "But there is also some danger here and there...so I want you protected all the time..." and he trails off.

Didn't he care if I die or not? No... he still needs sex form me...

"Okay...I also have a question..."

"Yes!?"

"The wedding will be Saturday, right?"

He nods.

"When... will I try the dresses? Or isn't this a wedding with a party-"

"-Friday! Olivia will come pick you up at 10 and together you will try some dresses-"

"-Will you come too?" I ask, but I regret it immediately. "Sorry, you weren't finished with you sentence..."

"It's fine, for now, and no, I won't be there!"

My face falls a little, sadness creeping up me, but I quickly recover. "That's fine... can I bring Bella with me?"

"Of course!"

"And I have another question..."

He sighs and nods, giving me permission to ask another question.

"Where will it take place?"

"In the restaurant we first met"

"OH... Will there be a honey-"

*TRING!!!*

That's Mateo's phone and he picks up.

"Yes! I will be there!" he hangs up and walks to the door, he looks back once and then leaves me alone with Kevin and James.

I pouty my lips little as he leaves but then look over to my new bodyguards.

"Ehm... do you guys need something?"

They both shake their heads.

"Alright...Could you do me a favor?"

They both nod.

"Please...talk... or say anything... it kind of kill me if you don't. I know I'm your boss's... future wife, but I'm still a human so..."

"No problem, Miss El Ricci" Kevin says.

I smile. "And please, call me Emily"

It's Friday and Olivia just texted me that she is on her way to the wedding dresses store but that she first is picking up Bella.

I'm happy to see Olivia and Bella again. It's been ages since I have talk to someone.

Mateo and I are ignoring each other most of the time. Mateo is busy working and is rarely home... We never slept in the same room if I think about it...

Kevin and James aren't much better. They just stand by the door and look if everything is okay with me... I even have made them breakfast but only Kevin eats them... James and I don't talk too much... Kevin and I on the other hand are closer. We talk a lot and he is mostly by my side... I like him round me...

"Emily, The car is ready" James says and I'm a little surprise and I think you can see that on my face because Kevin speaks. "It's fine, Emily, James also have a tongue" and we both laugh.

James just rolls his eyes and opens the door for me.

I past him and say my thanks.

"Girl! It's been ages!" Bella screams and run to me.

Both James and Kevin stand before me, trying to protect me.

"It's fine, boys. She's my friend" they both nod and stand behind me again.

Bella just keep running and hugs me so tight I can barely breathe.

"Who are these handsome guys?" she whispers in my ear and I laugh.

As Bella let's me go and Olivia comes and hugs me too.

"It's a long time... how is everything at home?" she ask and I just try not to look sad but it's no use. "IS MY BROTHER AN ASSHOLE TO YOU!?"

I shake my head. "No... he is just busy at work but it's fine! I have company" and I point at Kevin and James. Olivia looks them over and grimace.

"What!?"

"Nothing" she replies and turn "Come we need to try some dresses on for your big day tomorrow!"

As she mentions that I feel the nerves creeping up my spine.

Tomorrow... God! It's so fast... I never thought my wedding would look like this, in this situation... but what choice do I have? I'm sold to him... and I need to do anything he asks me to, but we haven't talk much lately...

He is always busy working and I'm just at home. School won't start until 3 weeks and I'm not even sure I want to go to school... maybe I should work... I'm 22 and I'm still young... maybe I can work with Mateo? Hell no, he wouldn't even let me inside the club... then I will see what he does with other women...

I shake my head.

Don't think about that! Today you are here with your friends and you want to have fun! Don't let that asshole ruin your day!

"You should try this!" Bella and Olivia says together and we all laugh, even Kevin shows a little smile.

"Okay, give me a minute"

We are here over 2 hours and I still didn't find my dress. And I already wore 30 dresses I guess...

I don't want to wear an Ariel like dress... I mean, it's beautiful and all but I don't feel it... I also want to wear something white and not black or pink...

As I try pick the dress Bella and Olivia picked out for me, my eyes goes behind them...

My eyes lock with a white dress, it's a princess like dress and what I like the most about it... it has butterflies on it. (look photo) The dress reminds me of Mateo... how he always calls me butterfly...

"That dress is beautiful..." I whisper.

Bella and Olivia both turn and scream. "YOU SHOULD TRY THAT ONE!"

I nod and go in the fitting room.

I try the dress on and I like it! The butterfly on the dress makes it extra beautiful and it also has a low cut at the frond. My boobs show off but not too much. The lace on the dress is just perfect!

If I can marry in this... than everything is perfect!

I feel tears sweeping up but I brush them away. This is supposed to be the best day of my life... even without my parents here, but I know they are looking from above me... looking at me, carring about me...

"What do you think?" I say as I walk out the fitting room but when I turn then I see...
