It dripped down my neck as I tried to slurp some back into my mouth. Jungkook looked so heavenly that I drooled.
We stood there, staring at each other for a few moments before any one of us spoke. "Y-you look," We both said at the same time. Both of us broke out into a fit of laughter before Jungkook continued.
"You look absolutely stunning." He said, his hands in his pockets. I looked down, blushing.
"You don't look too bad yourself." I smiled softly, still blushing. No matter how long we've been together for, I would blush to anything he'd say. We weren't in a rush. We've definitely had some bumps in these five, six year relationship—but it only made us stronger.
"I'm glad you look comfortable too, easy to take off." He winked. I gasped, covering my mouth as I shook my head in disbelief. "I'll buy you hundreds of more dresses if you at least let me rip off this one." He eyed me, smirking.
"Let's make it to dinner first, though." I cleared my throat, still at disbelief of what he said. It wasn't like I haven't heard of that from him before—I hear it everyday. I just don't expect it so it chokes me up.
"As you wish, princess." His smile showed his bunny teeth, his cheeks wide. I slid my arm into his, not even realizing how special today would be.
Jungkook's hand rested on my thigh. "I miss them." I sighed. We were all updated on each other's paths, but we never really meet up anymore. Just group chats and phone calls to one another. Taehyung and I talk on the phone a lot—he talks about his relationship with Jimin and he comes to me first whenever he needs help. Phone calls and group chats aren't enough, though. I miss them.
"As do I." He blew out a breath, keeping his focus on the road.
"Do you think they'll come back? Or, do you think we'll be able to regroup?" I fidgeted with my fingers.
"We have a long life ahead of us, princess. We will eventually all meet again. Whether we're celebrities or not." He squeezes my thigh softly in reassurance.
"I love you, Jungkook. I don't say it enough, but I really really love you." It was moments like these when I realize how much I love him. The days where I'm feeling down, or the days when I miss Bangtan like no other—he's always there no matter how busy he is.
"And I love you, princess."
"Why is this restaurant empty?" I asked, as I tightened my grip on his hand. It came to my senses of what he did. I slapped his shoulder as he groaned. "Jungkook, did you rent out this entire place for our date?"
"Well, yeah." He smiled innocently. "Gotta make our date perfect."
I shook my head. "You, you are outrageously amazing. But you spent so much money." I pouted.
"I could go broke spending money on you, yet I will still be happy. I will spend as much money as I want." He shot back, pulling the chair out as I sat down.
"How was your day at the studio?" I asked, looking at the menu.
"It was great—I was able to record a few tracks. Maybe I'll be able to release them real soon." His expression all giddy. Looking back, I think most of our bumps were because of our careers. Sometimes he would be too stressed out and lash out at me. Sometimes I felt like leaving, but the pull to stay was always stronger than the push to leave. All I know is that I would have never left Jungkook no matter what.

His career has gotten better, though. Like I said earlier, he's gotten his own studio and he's going to soon be well known in South Korea. With all the girls that have trailed him already, he made sure he was clear that he was taken.
"I better be the first to hear the songs then." I smiled and he nodded. I was always the one that got to hear them first.
After we put in our orders, Jungkook placed his elbow onto the table, placing his chin onto his hand. "You know, thinking back—you made me soft, Y/N." He chuckled, his bangs falling in front of his forehead.
"What can I say? I'm a heartthrob," I shrugged my shoulders and smiled, feeling slightly embarrassed that I just said that. Usually something Jungkook would say.
Suddenly, the lights started flickering. I looked around as the waitresses seemed to be clueless as well.
"What's happening?" Jungkook asked as a waitress came over to our table.
"I'm sorry sir, there's been a problem. We will try to fix this issue soon." The waitress ran across the restaurant, probably trying to find a solution.
I bit my lip nervously, continuing to look around as well. It was even stranger that we were the only ones here.
"Jungkook? What's happening?" I asked, the lights flashed a lot quicker now, making it even worse.
"I don't know, but what a great date huh?" He chuckled nervously, rubbing the back of his neck.
In a blur, the lights turned off. Completely. I tried squinting my eyes to find Jungkook but completely felt myself breaking down when I couldn't find him. Instead, his hands captured mine which made me instantly feel better. "J-Jungkook?" I whispered. I could hear the waitresses whispering nearby as well, but I couldn't hear what they were saying.
"I'm here." He stroked my hand with his thumb, comforting me.
"C-can we leave? I'm sorry this date didn't go as planned but I'm terrified." I didn't want what happened years back to be repeated—so I'll avoid it as best to my ability.
"Let's go." Jungkook said, pulling my hand as we both stood up. Immediately, the lights turned on when we were both stood onto our feet. I kept eye contact with Jungkook, hearing the front door being kicked opened.
My eyes widened, turning around to see five or six people in white and gold masquerade masks. They all wore black which meant I couldn't see any of their faces. My breathing escalated when I saw all of them holding handguns.
The waitresses seemed to have noticed too, their screams and whimpers all over the place as they crouched down like in those movies. I should have too, but I was frozen in place.
"We finally found you, Lee Y/N." A manly voice chuckled, his gun pointing at me. I placed my hands up in surrender—at the same time, I was digging back to see if I could remember any moves I used five years back.
I stopped training as much after all that, but I still trained to keep my shape intact. So I don't remember as many moves or tactics as I use to.
If the man gets close enough, or any of them get close enough, I could disarm them and use the person against them. Great idea. I felt like I was the badass 18 year old me again.
"It took you five years?" I asked. I could hear a quiet "Y/N," coming from behind me. Assuming it's Jungkook, I shook his warning off. I wanted to protect him.

I realized that they stood their position, so I wasn't able to disarm any of them. I sighed, continuing to stall. "So you're gonna kill me with all these witnesses here?" I asked.
"Who says we won't kill all of them and your golden boy here?" Another manly voice spoke, his gun pointed at Jungkook. I look behind me to see Jungkook behind me standing tall.
"Maybe you really won't live your happily ever after." I snapped my head back to see all six pointing their guns at Jungkook now. I gulped, standing on my tippy toes to cover Jungkook. I know I could never measure to him, but I tried my best to protect him.
I know that there's a slim chance that he would be able to live without me, but I know for sure I can't live without him. I would risk it all for this man. "Y/N, don't." Jungkook whispered but I ignored his remark again.
"Jungkook, you know I love you so much." I said, not looking back. If I looked back, I would break down.
"BUT." Another man said loudly, making me flinch—or, almost everyone flinch.
"We might spare you," spare me? Who would do that?
"On one condition," another man spoke. They all dropped their guns to their sides.
"Say yes." My eyebrows scrunched up in confusion at their words. Say yes? Wait...
I turned around to find Jungkook on one knee. My hands immediately went to cover my mouth as I gasped. Jungkook didn't even let me say anything before he took my hands and started speaking.
"Lee Y/N. Princess." He started off, his tongue poking from the inside of his mouth. He's probably making this up right now.
"First, I'd like to apologize for scaring your ass off. What you just did exactly proved how amazing you truly are. You were about to sacrifice yourself for someone that isn't as valuable as yourself. You were also pretty badass princess." He paused as he gave me one of the widest smiles I've ever seen from him.
"I'm not going to get too in-depth and all soft because as soft as you made me, I am still Jeon Jungkook," I rolled my eyes, tears pooling my eyes. "I love you so much, and I would never want to spend my life with anyone else but you. God, that is so cheesy." He muttered in the end.
Jungkook grabbed something from his pocket, a ring. "Lee Y/N, how about we get married and have children someday?" He raised it up to me. I didn't even look at it before I said my answer.
"Yes, a million times yes." I nodded my head, tears escaping my eyes as I was brought into his embrace.
He slid the ring onto my finger, it was absolutely beautiful. I wasn't into big diamond rings. Jungkook, being observant as he is, didn't get me a huge diamond and instead bought a tiny little diamond. I instantly fell in love with the ring as soon as I saw it.
Jungkook wiped my tears with his thumbs before he brought my lips onto his. The kiss wasn't rough and needy, but instead it was passionate and loving.
Our kiss was broken up by clapping. I broke eye contact with Jungkook as I looked around the room, finding the waitresses clapping for us.
I heard clapping on the other side of the restaurant too—so I looked behind Jungkook's back, finding another big surprise. I gasped, my hands flying to my mouth as more tears pooled my eyes. I broke from Jungkook's embrace as I slowly walked towards them.
They were the invaders.
"It's been awhile." Taehyung said, jumping around as he bear hugged me. I groaned loudly, barely able to breathe.
"Jesus, let the girl breathe." Seokjin called and rolled his eyes. Taehyung let go of me as I looked at his blue head.
I glanced at each and every one of them, their hair colors all different and colorful.
I smiled at every one of them. "Y/N, Jungkook-ah told us how much you missed us. We're here now." Jimin said, coming up to me and giving me a hug.
We might be all grown up and on our own paths now, but we will never forget our pasts. We will never forget our family. We all gave each other glances before we all huddled up and jumped around like we used to. I only did it once before this, but it was nice. One before we dispersed and one today, when we met again.
"So, Jungkook talked about babies huh?" Yoongi teased, Jungkook's cheeks turning bright pink. I smiled, giving Jungkook a kiss on his cheek.
"I'm jealous, Taehyung kiss me!" Jimin pouted his lips. Taehyung pecked Jimin's lips. Their relationship is so cute.
"What about you guys?" I asked Namjoon, Seokjin, Yoongi, and Hoseok. I wondered how their love lives were going since I already know how their careers are going.
"I'm seeing someone right now," Namjoon chuckled. I heard gasps and 'how dare you's from around the circle. It was probably news to everyone else as well. I saw Seokjin pouting in my peripheral vision, but I shrugged it off since he does that all the time. Does he?
"Anyways, since we can all drink now, cheers to Y/N's and Jungkook's engagement!" Namjoon smiled, raising his glass. I hadn't realized wine was served until Jungkook slipped one into my hand.
I learned that I could drink safely. Instead of chugging it down like I had in my teenage years, I now take precautions and drink safely since the events that had happened in my past scarred me. It isn't there anymore, but I still get dreams or memories of it sometimes.
I smiled, raising my glass as we all clinked them. We all took a sip of two before Jungkook tugged my wrist. "Y/N and I are leaving." Jungkook winked.
"B-but," He interrupted me.
"They're going to be here for a week, so there is no rush to hang around with them—they're not really cool anyways." He smiled mischievously, tugging at my wrist to run with him before Seokjin chased him. I am so glad I wore boots rather than heels.
"Let's get started on those babies."
