《Undeniably Wanted》Chapter 3: Lil' Man and Angel

-Heather's POV
The rest of the week went by pretty smoothly. I decided to stay clear of the club worried I would be roped into working again. I'm starting to push myself further during my morning runs seeing how far I can go down the coast. I am currently collapsed on the ground in a secluded cove before I get myself back up to run back.
"Ma'm this is private property." A man simply states from behind me. I nod my head and stand back up brushing my butt and legs off. I walk up to the man with a smile. I stretch out my hand to shake his.
"I apologize sir, I'm still new around here." I say shaking his hand. I then notice the house that is behind him is huge. I shake my head trying not to stare at it.
"Leo, I want to go to the pier!" I hear a little voice yell causing the man in front of me to turn around abruptly.
"Yes sir." The gentleman answers. I nod one more time and begin running back. I get back to the house to find Cami still collapsed from her shift last night. I change into my swimsuit figuring I would spend one of my final days at the beach. I put on my black surfer skin tight top and blank spanks. I grab my sunglasses and head out.
I continue to walk around the beach and end up on the Pier to grab a drink. I get my drink and go stand on the side of the pier looking over water sipping my drink. I look over and see a little boy trying to look through the binoculars that are on the pier. The man standing beside him looks familiar however he walks towards the concession stand leaving the lil boy standing there. I look back out over the water for a minute and then begin seeing the boy leaning too far over. All of sudden I hear someone yell at the boy but it's too late- the boy is falling into the water. I don't waste any time. I jump over the side of the pier and dive into the water. The lil boy is unconscious, I pull him up and keep him tight to my chest. The wave comes crashing in on us causing me to push the boy up while I get thrashed around by the waves. I swallow some of the water but continue swimming to the shore.

"Luca!" Someone is yelling running towards the beach that I am swimming up to. I get out and lay him down flat and begin CPR on him. The man runs up and kneels down beside us. I continue until the little boy spits out the water causing me to turn him on his side. "Are you okay Luca?" The gentlemen ask. The little boy looks around for a minute before his eyes land on mine and his eyes go wide.
"Hi sweetie, your going to be okay... how do you feel?" I ask with a sincere smile. He doesn't answer me but instead lunges for me and embraces me in a hug. I smile and embrace him tightly against my chest. His little head finds the crook of my neck and he wraps his arms tightly around my neck. I continue holding him close with one arm while the other begins stroking his back gently. "Your okay lil man." I whisper to him. I then look up to see the man from earlier this morning with his jaw hanging open and his eyes wide. Why he is looking at me like that? "Sir are you okay?"
He shakes his head closing his mouth. "Yes Ma'm, I'm sorry it's just..." He pauses. "Never-mind, thank you for rescuing him." He smiles brightly at me and takes deep breaths to calm down his breathing. I nod my head and begin to stand up but the little boy doesn't want to let go.
"Sweetie, are you okay?" I ask trying to look at him but he just shakes his head continues to cuddle into me. I giggle at the lil boy's cuteness.
"Luca, you have to let her go." The gentlemen says trying to reach out for Luca. Luca holds me tighter. I shake my head at the guy letting him know to stop trying.
"Luca... sweetie, hey I need to look over you to make sure you have no injuries. Okay?" I kneel down letting him down. He almost reaches out for me the moment I put him down but I reassure him that I am not going anywhere. He waits patiently while I check his body out to only see a minor cut on his forehead. I begin to stand up but before I can once again the little man lunges his arms and locks them around my neck. I giggle while picking him back up placing him on my hip. Once again the older gentlemen is staring at me. His eyes practically bulging out of his head.

"Luca, come on we need to take you to get checked out." The guy once again reaches for Luca who is holding me like his life depends on it.
"Lil Man, would you like for me to come with you?" I whisper in his ear. He abruptly looks up and I see bright blue eyes. He begins to nod his head vigorously while smiling. I smile and rub my nose against his.
"Your my angel." He whispers so gently I almost didn't catch it. I smile at him and he smiles back. I hear a gasp and look up to see the older gentlemen holding his chest looking like he's about to faint. I look back down towards the boy.
"Your my lil man." He hugs me tightly. I continue holding him caressing the back of his head.
"I apologize for being so rude. My name is Leo." The gentlemen stretches out a hand but still has his eyes locked on the Luca holding me. I reach out my free hand to shake his.
"Hi, I'm Heather." I shake his hand and then look back down to Luca.
"His name is Luca." He says staring intently at him. "I'm sorry, he normally isn't like this."
I look at him confused and he realizes it. He shakes his head and waves his hand dismissively. He gestures for me to follow him. I begin to walk out until I feel a sharp pain in my arm. I hiss and look down to see a gash on my arm. I must have hit a reef coming in. Leo notices and looks concerned. I shake my head and continue walking.
We arrive at a black car where I try to set Luca down however he refuses to let go of me. I give up and slide in the back seat with him on my lap. Leo looks in the rear-view mirror at us with a smile tugging at his lips.
"Miss Heather, we are heading to St. Jules Hospital." I nod my head in understanding while continuing to rub Luca's back.
We get to the hospital and I feel completely under-dressed walking in my spanks with the boy still attached to my neck. Leo leads me to a private room where I sit on the bed with Luca still in my arms cuddling to my chest. Leo walks out to get the nurse.
"Hey lil man, think you can lean back so we can talk?" He takes a minute and gently pulls back. I smile at him and he smiles gently back.
"May I call you Angel?" He ask hesitantly. I tap my chin pretending to think.
"Hmmm... Only if I can call you lil man."
"Deal." He says bringing around his hand to shake mine. I laugh but go along with it and shake his hand.
"Ma'm, were here to look at Mr. Sanford." A nurse says coming in. Luca automatically re-attaches himself to me. "It's okay ma'm we can check him over with him in your lap." I nod my head but continue to keep Luca close.
I glance over at Leo his is looking at us adoringly. I look at him confusedly but shake it off and continue to care over Luca. It took about an hour to find out that Luca had a mild concussion and they wrapped my arm up for me.
"Luca, it's time to go home. Your father is on his way." Luca stiffens in my arms. I rub his back trying to soothe him. He relaxes a bit.
"Hey Luca, how bout we make a deal." I say trying to lighten the mood. "You go on with Leo and I will meet you at the beach tomorrow to hang out."
He looks hesitant at first but releases me and walks over to Leo. As he walks away. He smiles back at me and waves.
I head towards the exit to realize I don't have a ride and groan. Great...

Chapters released Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 12:30 Warning: After Chapter 11, the MC undergoes a significant change of class and race. This is due to a couple of factors. The first is that when the MC was created, James didn't know what he was doing, so he picked what he thought would work. The second reason is that he had access to more information to game the system a little. The premise is like when you buy a new video game and decide to play it without RTFM. After creating a great character and making it to the end of the first act, you realize that, although your character may be kewl, it is gimped and will not survive until the end of the game. Going back to the start, you create a new character with the knowledge you gained from playing the game and perhaps, peeking at the manual.
