《My Road To Glory》Chapter 16 – Help please?

Days passed in a nice monotony where training the team stood as the centrepiece. The upcoming game against Tibble group occupied Alicia and Luciana, another failure would be unacceptable.
*Ring* Huh, why would Milly call me now? I haven’t seen her since that night so I thought she avoided me on purpose.
“Yes, hello Milly.”
“Hello Alicia, could you come and meet me? I have something I would like to talk about and I would rather not do it in Emmas apartment.” Her hologram stands stiff and speak almost with a formal tone. Very unlike her usual frivolous attitude.
“I guess I can come but it better not be anything weird.” Although It probably will be something weird so I should be prepared.
“I can’t know what is weird for you so I make no promises in that regard.”
“You are creeping me out with your way of talking.”
Milly frowns and have her arms crossed against her chest. She seems impatient.
“Come to restaurant greenery as soon as possible, I’ll be waiting.” *Click*
A restaurant huh? I’m not sure I like where this is going.
I’ve never been there before. If she invites me to a restaurant, I hope she will pay because I’m pretty low on cash at the moment. The drone takes me there in a good pace. The road is crawling with drones going in different direction. Driving is illegal so everyone uses electrical transport drones. The AI programming is so efficient that accidents is a non-issue, the only deviation to that is when humans take suicide by running out on the road.
“Restaurant Greenery” I mumble as I see the sign. I walk with heavy steeps until I’m greeted by a beautiful AI with flowing black hair and a kind smile. I have never seen this model before, it’s probably new.

“Welcome to Restaurant Greenery, your companion is waiting for you.” It directs me to Milly’s table.
She stands up and greets me with a nervous smile.
“What’s up Milly?”
“Aah, yes. You should order first.”
Fine, I order a salad from the waiter. From the menu it was clear this place specialized in salad and given the prices I expect a good meal.
I direct my attention to Milly, who fidgets nervously.
“So?”
“Ugh, you really are in a hurry huh? Fine, I asked you here because I want your help with Emma.”
“You want my help how? Was she pissed about us?”
“No, she asked if it was serious and I said no and that was it.” This seems to concern her rather than be good news.
“And that’s not good?”
She leans in despite no one being around and whisper. “You know I love her; she could be a bit angry at least, right?” Wow I’m surprised she’s that blunt and using the L word like that. Love, so she is serious about this.
“I get it so what is my supposed role in this conspiracy of yours?”
Milly sighs audibly. “I need your help or support or whatever.”
“What can I do, just ask her out and see what happens.” Even if I could why would I even help?
“No, that wont work!” Her voice takes on a higher pitch. I’ve never seen her so shacky before.
She takes on a pleading look. “Please Alicia, I won’t ask about anything big. I may need advice sometimes or maybe you can hype me up to Emma and such.” I suppose I can advise her on good places to take Emma and what she likes/dislikes.
“I can probably do that but I won’t interfere with her thing with Daniel. I will only assist you in some ways.”

“That’s perfect!” She stands up and hugs me tightly, too tightly.
“Okey, breathe and relax Milly.”
She takes her seat again and we chat while eating a truly wonderful salad. She did indeed pay for it, perhaps it was a bribe. I get payed in salad to pimp out my sister, good deal. Honestly, I can’t say I really want Emma and Milly to be together but Milly is like the annoying person I know and can deal with. That’s preferable to a stranger like Daniel whom I don’t know. Obviously somewhere along the line what Emma wants matter too, not like I will pressure her into anything, maybe just a slight nudge or something.
We say our goodbyes and Milly takes off in a drone while I decide for a walk. My ID serve as a map so if I follow the right path it should only take 43 minutes to get home. When I’ve walked for a little while I come across a downtrodden looking woman sitting in an alley. She has a rough blanked draped around her shoulders and sit in a huddled position. The entire image is truly disturbing, I have never seen anything like it before. Why would someone sit like that outside? I carefully approach the woman, as I come within a couple metres from her my ID gives off a beep. I look at my ID, the beep was a warning.
This tired and worn looking woman is a red, a danger.
