《Zane the Mad :Part of the Legendary Interviews》13. It was like magically locking your keys in the car.

I recovered enough to try and move on. "OK moving on." I said taking one last breath. "Can the slime be smart enough to work the portal?"
"Why cant you do it?" Imp asked frowning at me. "its magic isn't that your whole ...thing?"
"Yes, but this is clearly going to take a lot of time. If I can even do it at all in the end." I said opening my mouth popping my jaw.
"That is going to get so much less cringe when you do that as a dragon." Imp said shaking her head.
"Right. My brain is still clearly fucked." I said "most likely because I didn't get the full fix up. So I can read, but really only a little at a time and if its a story like a real book not just info. If its a story the words turn into more into a movie then words and I can read but if its just info it stays words then the words try to take on shape like a magic eye picture."
Imp gave me a confused look. "what even is that?"
"No Idea." I said "but its upsetting and makes it hard for me to learn."
I thought about opening the portal to the beach leaving a note for Eva in case she came looking for me, but thought that was foolish she most likely would look for me in the place the apartment would be or just call me.
"Dose Eva have a way to get here?" I asked Imp
"yeah?" Imp asked confused by the subject change. "IF she wants to see you she'll open the portal right to you."
"No matter the world I'm in?" I asked
"yeah cus its tied to you." she said. "But if she wanted to go to earth she would need a clear picture of it or it mite just pop out a portal sorta randomly."
"and if I tried to open a portal back on earth from the beach?"
"You cant." Imp said. "both ends of the portal are in your inventory, best you can do is open it to the beach and back."
I froze at that. "So I locked myself out of earth?"
"Yep, good thing you set up that slime before you came in here or you'd need Eva to get you out. Even then it mite be dicey on where you would end up when you got out."
"Fuck..." I said "what happens if I'm on the wrong side of the portal when it opens?"
"well sense its a one way portal you can walk though it from the back then come back though it, as long as your near by when it opens."
"ah... ok." I said turning heading back into the room with the table and chair floating next to it changing my perception to make it feel like I was floating in water.
"What are you just going to wait? No exploring or anything?"
"Nope to risky." I said "I get distracted and have no sense of time, so start story telling."
"I don't think I should bother." Imp said sounding surprised as the gateway opened a bright sunny sky.
I rushed it flying out finding myself above the city at the edge of a walkway that seamed to be used for maintenance at the edge of a water tower.
Looking down at the little town I heard the portal pop closed behind me the slime I had sent to make the door seamed to have disappeared.

"hmmmm..... vector vector vectors." I muttered using them to open to open another door way to the underground, but this time I used my vectors to hold the portal edges in place. Locking them where they where in a sense. "Is this going to work?"
Imp looked at the portal frowning nearly in confusion. "i... think so?"
"not that helpful." I said with a sigh. "how long is it supposed to stay open?"
"Well from this side, until you go in... to trick people into thinking its safe." Imp said.
"Ok..." I muttered making some slime and using vectors to change it until it was like a balloon or bubble shaped like my own body and had it walk through the portal for me.
I winced as I felt the portal try and slam closed. It was like a sneeze in my mind, but also deep in my blood.
Looking at the portals I saw they where sharp on the edges like the circle the portal had been made of was now a lot of straight lines.
"Is it stable?" I asked watching it closely pulling the slime back into my body.
".. .I don't think stable is something I can ever say when it comes to you." Imp muttered floating over to get a closer look at the edges of the portal. "But if you mean will it stay open then yes... but I'm not sure you could move it around or put it in your pocket like you normally do."
"Ok... lets try it." I said, I had a thought and added in a mix of portal making with vector "creation" my real power to make portal vector creation. What that meant exactly I wasn't sure, but the ring around the portal stabilized.
Oddly it still looked off... the bubbly look of my portals seamed to mix in too. Giving the portal a ring around it of a lightly shifting gleam. Like the whole thing was ringed in a bubble.
Imp gave a look that said to me 'what the fuck was that new thing? and why is it working?'
I tried to move the portal like I did with the others, seeing it flicker for just a moment before it started to move stabilizing and working just like any other portal.
"so... were good?" I asked shrinking the portal and putting it away in my book of worlds.
"yes..." Imp said again reading my screens for me.
"goood." I said my mind flickering with thoughts in the background. Things like ' "portal vector creation." "Vector portal creation?" dose that mean I can just make portals cut into other worlds with my vectors? or make portals that can add vectors to them? Like a portal that speeds up anything I put in it? Or both?' I let the little flashes of thoughts and images flash though my mind. IF I could do these things Imp would ether tell me or tell me how I cant.
Portals to other worlds was on my banned powers list, so that vector portal power was off the table for sure... Right?
I shook it off, I had a space master to copy if any of the things I thought my portals could do, I would be able to do for sure once I got his powers.
I was getting his full power version after all, there's no way he would be that weak after years of having his powers.
I found the man with my find power trying a new portal vector creating one where I was standing and picturing an arrow moving though space from the ring of water on my end to above where I found the man opening the other side with another set of arrows.

The portal opened before me, instead of the boiling rising accumulation it was a simple spreading smooth as a bubble being blown the ring spreading out until I was satisfied.
"hmm... I think I like it." I said stepping out though the portal into the air above the hospital. A loud woop woop woop startled me and looking up I saw a helicopter trying to land on big H I was standing just above.
I dashed down and to the side of the building the portal shutting behind me with a pop.
Floating on the edge of the roof I watched the helicopter land sending out Imp to listen to see if they had seen me, after seeing them go inside the building Imp came back clamming they didn't say anything at least. They just talked about there job stuff and what to eat for lunch.
"Good..." I said unsure if that was truly the case or not. But with nothing else to do I found a good place to portal in and quickly put myself in the hospital.
"Do I need to talk to him? or anything?" I asked Imp.
"Nope just get close enough that you can pull his power." Imp said watching a man walking slowly to the same room we were standing outside of.
I frowned wondering who he was for a moment. The short skinny glasses guy seamed to be breathing hard I Looked way form him looking into the room to grab the power from the old man staring out the window.
"quest complete." Imp said "Spatial infusion gotten."
"Good. Limits?" I asked seeing the guy look at the girl in the bed closer to the door. 'I wonder if I could heal her with a card... no, it'll prob just give her a power.'
I moved away going back to the place I portaled into to portal out off.
"How am I supposed to start there? there are tons of limits." Imp said annoyed.
"Fine fine, tell me what you can then." I said shaking my head portaling back to the water tower for right now.
"He mostly used his spacial infusion to put space in the air around him, giving him enough room to escape or sit comfortably in whatever trick he was doing.
He also made his pockets and trunks bigger on the inside so he could hold a lot more things when he traveled.
He also was a smuggler working for a cartel so while he was hiding lots of things in small spaces he learned to infuse the space around him so every time some one shot at him they would miss, or the bullets would fall at his feet as if shot at him from miles away."
"well... damn." I said a little impressed.
"He could also infuse space into a weapon to cut though anything with a simple swipe or jab." Imp said with a shake of her head. "But the ability you want most right now is he would infuse space into his steps so that he could walk for miles at a step."
"oh yeah that is going to help." I said floating up above the water tower, thinking about my powers and putting them together in new combinations.
Space infusion mixed with the power to find things and portal vectors made the power to find things anywhere.
Then the space infusion just mixed with portal vectors to increase the range of the portals and make them work how I wanted.
Then I mixed space infusion with Imp first making her able to go away from me like a normal person, but also letting her tell me what powers some one would have as soon as I found them. So I could ask for a power then have her find the person with the power for me.
Then I infused the space vectors power with my power to take other peoples power, so I could take it from anywhere.
Along with my slime power getting a boost from the space first so I could control it from anywhere then infused both our inventory powers with the space so that the size was increased immensely.
Then I mixed the card constructs with space infusion, again letting me use them from much farther away but also for making anything I did make huge.
A simple thrown stone card could be made into a land slide or a hill.
Then I mixed the space with my gift power power so that I should be able to send powers to people anywhere.
"Ok... Did I miss anything..." I muttered to myself thinking of all the powers I had now.
"yeah you didn't mix space into your need to sleep so you can sleep really big." Imp snapped seaming a little disgusted with me and all the things I was adding space with.
"hmmm maybe you mean mix my vector aura with my lack of needs and the space power and vectors so that I can walk around with an aura that lets people not have to have any needs or just send them the power for a while... but I think I'd be sending people into power sleep just by walking by if I did that. But I like the idea..." I said adding the space power to my aura so if I wanted I could expand my aura out immensely.
Imp scoffed at that "you knew what I meant."
"Yes, you meant I should stop adding things with space." I said adding to my inventory the ability to grab things from super far away to put them into my inventory.
"I don't think I want to become a really big dragon." I said considering it, but not doing that one in the end.
"oh finally something that your not trying to cram space into." Imp shook her head
"Ha." I said flatly finding the magic light bulb in California, then sending out a little bit of slime. Pulling out the beach portal and sliding into it moving the portal so it was hidden next to the water tower and opened nearly none at all.
"OK so tell me the powers of the people who think they own the light bulb." I said.
"what dose that matter? you can just snatch and grab it, also you can just take any power you want off a card. You already proved it." Imp said.
"Yeah but that's using the slime to eat the card person I want to level up my absorb power power." I said.
Imp sighed. "Techno-magic, Bladesmithing Intuition, Benefic Shield Construction. Are near the light bulb, don't you think you should go there and see them for your self?"
"do I need to for the quest?" I asked wondering why she thought that.
"No..." Imp said scowling.
"then why do I need to see these people?" I asked
"well... I'm sure that's what was intended when the quest was made for you." Imp said I wasn't sure why she wanted me to go there so bad, but I had other plans already in place an people to boost.
"Its a Church." Imp said quietly looking small and vulnerable.
"Is this a demon thing?" I asked "like you want me to mess up any churches I can?"
"NO!" Imp said "That's shape-est!"
"Shape-est?"
"your making judgments about the shape I'm in right now." She said putting her hands on her hips.
"Well I didn't tell you to look like that." I said to her annoyed. "your the one who showed up looking evil."
"I DIDN'T CHOSE TO LOOK LIKE THIS" She yelled.
"...well how would you want to look then? Iv got the perception filter... you wanna change?"
"no..." She said defeated "But that dosn't change the fact that a church is using magic and the power granting bulb to get more people... Would it help if I said a cult was doing it?"
I gave her a look that said to me, 'im not sure why your pushing this so hard and what you think this church is doing or what you think i'll do about it.'
"So... is this a quest? or just a request?" I asked her.
She folded her arms looking down disgusted. "Neither, forget about it."
"OK?" I sighed shaking my head when a new portal opened up next to me Eva standing there looking confused a wall of blue screens floating in front of her.
"Your slime finish up eating New York?" I asked her pulling out the new york portal, seeing the formerly dark spot in the sky filled with blue glowing slime.
"Your just in time." I said "I just got a new space power."
"that's... good." She said. "though... I'm not sure i'll need it." She moved one of the blue screens so I could see it.
"congratulations you are the first of your world to hit level 100.
Congratulations First God of Earth.
God of Death Eva Walker."

P.A.R.A.D.O.X. PROJECT: Aeon Genesis
The first project focusing on four protagonists within the same world set around fictional 14th-century Europe. This is the first P.A.R.A.D.O.X. PROJECT focusing on 3 (+1) protagonists within the same world set around fictional 14th-century-esque Europe. Each story has its own protagonists (Male or Female Lead), genres (mainly Western Fantasy), and can be read as a standalone. Status: OngoingUpdate(s) per week: 1Words per chapter: 3000 - 6000 *** ‘A human or not; a king or a servant; hope or despair; a hero or a villain.’ Depending on one's perspective and how each story portrays, one will view an individual or a group as evil or virtuous. Because of that, it depends on the reader and listener to believe which one is the truth. More people read and trust multiple (trusted?) sources that either complement or contradict one another. The contradiction becomes the source of debates between those who believe and those who don’t. From that difference in belief, two groups appear: The Majority and The Minority. The majority, having more people, suppress the minorities’ beliefs, claiming theirs, the majorities’, to be the truth. However, the majority are not only composed solely of those who share the same belief but also those who know the truth but afraid to admit it. They have to keep quiet and turn a blind eye for their safety. The majority had to submit to those with power and authority. With the majority under control, those with power and authority can create, manipulate, and/or fabricate truth and lies by force. The reason was for one’s or group’s personal benefits. In the end, there is no such thing as ‘absolute truth’; only sugar-coated lies created by the top. Don’t believe me? It is up to you to decide. Go and read it yourself.
