Trajectory bullets skimmed through skins and buildings, constant sounds of gun battles were heard miles away, brave men and women screamed in pain as soon as they were hit from an enemy position.

Roaring four tanks faced two defending tanks, both damaging each other's armour one by one, killing the soldiers that were located around the tank, giving them no time to react.

Dark, polluting smoke fizzled up into the beautiful, white wintery atmosphere while ruddy blood decorated the ground on top of scarred deceased bodies.

"Move in!" A loud, alarming voice demanded under the continual firing and bombing, big groups of soldiers charged out of the forest past Zane's shooting place and into the deadline of burning, rotten corpses and collapsed guarded walls, opening gashes for the innocent eyes of civilians.

"I can't...d-do this" Alvis's whimpering voice yelped out beside Zane, grabbing his attention as he laid eyes on Alvis being crawled up in a frightened ball, hugging himself tightly.

"Then why did you join?" Zane abruptly asked relaxed, shocking Alvis throughout his body from the way his whole body perched up to glance at Zane resting his head next to the smoking gun.

"W-Why? Well...I-I joined because the government took my f-family away from me when they were s-snitched to about being a shadowy family" Alvis stuttered.

"There you go, let that reason for hatred flow through you and start firing" Zane softly said, patting Alvis on the shoulder gently.

"Who are you? W-why are you so calm?" Alvis raised a concerned question, locking eye contact with Zane.

"I'm Zane like I said when I met you for the first time" Zane jokes, fading away from the topic as he focused on firing the hostiles escaping in front of his deserted eyes.

Alvis watched Zane frequently fire rapidly right after loading a new magazine into his assault rifle, he then glimpsed at the same model gun Zane was using placed beside his right ribs mounted onto the cleaned tree and gripped tightly onto it, adjusting his military helmet to fit onto his small head.

Therefore, Alvis went over the words Zane gave him, allowing the vicious bitterness to circulate out of his pure, considerate system to the point his unstable eyes penetrated the thin air, upgrading from a vulnerable heart to a dominant heart.

"I'll kill them all" Alvin suddenly growled, angrily standing up from his camped tree, ducking out into the open sawing down any enemies he spotted unluckily run past his field of vision.

"We need to start moving" Erika whispered in Zane's ear, seen crouched behind Zane holding her assault weapon, Zane nodded to her words and slid down the steep hill, furthermore charged towards the blown up to pieces guard wall that other soldiers ran through for an easy advantage over the government soldiers.

Zane zipped past flying bullets unfazed since he was dedicated to finding a spot his whole crew could camp behind, to his luck he eventually found an alley that went seventeen feet long, being stopped by a dead end.

The five soldier crew hid behind the alley wall, barely missing the flashing bullets, catching their leaking breath, silently listening to the disaster that was played right next to them.

Before Zane started to unload hell, a friendly tank drove past blocking his gracious location, forcing him to draw his gun back down to his knee caps and faced the crew who were all sitting onto the ground, looking extremely tired.

"I thought the mission was not to fight in the civilian town?" Bexley whined, watching infantry stomp past her.

"That was the mission at first but Sergeant Fox probably quietly told someone from inside this attacking army to have no seconds resting and destroy all locations the hostile position would possibly hold" Zane unsurely countered.

"Civilians will die anyway even if we weren't told to charge inside the protected base" Brea responded dead in her words, ruining the moment.

"I can kill evil, but I can't kill peace" Alvis trembled on the thought.

"Guys, let's not worry about that kind of thought and focus on our mission" Erika commanded loudly.

Regardless, as they stood up with confidence the sounds of craters exploding around overlooked their confidence as they glimpsed up to a collapsing building turning their faces to ghoul pale and stressed.

Body parts smeared against Zane's fluffy mask, answering the situation he was in while he was flying through the air to jump out of the falling building's way, he noticed the friendly army groups were being shredded apart by fighting jets that zoomed across the fizzling sky.

Once he landed onto the ground, he looked over to his crew seeing that they made it but were all passed out from the distraught fear that overshadowed them, Zane instantly pulled all of their limp bodies into an unaffected building, testing them under the stairs.

Zane counted the limp bodies where one was missing, Zane ran back into the piling piles of walls, pushing all the piles off a trapped person with all the aching strength he had left.

Erika was found on the ground, garnished with stabbing dust, her face was shaded deep, ominous white, looking uneven with the tanning body she had.

Then Zane came to the realisation, Erika's lower half wasn't seen attached to her body, the bottom of her top half had opened holes of leaking blood pour out of her outrageous dangling organs, Zane couldn't do anything but pull off his shirt to wrap it around her bottom half trying his best to stop the leaking.

"That won't do anything" A gentle, female voice approached Zane's silenced world, the destroyed world he lived in vanished instantly, developing a newly created world where grass waved to Zane's introduction, where mountains became the welcoming smiles.

Where endless oceans peacefully coexist under the flapping wings of touring extraordinary birds and the smooth movement of candy clouds hovering over the rounded, blinding sun dominating the colourful landscape.

Zane panned around to locate the black liquidy turtle overflowed by the green, glowing eyes staring back at Zane with a mysterious aura around it.

"What are you?" Zane firstly asked, slowly addressing the turtle into his bony palms.

"That is classified" The turtle giggled brightly.

"Please help me-" Zane begged, receiving an interrupted response.

"I will help you revive that poor girl if you agree on allowing me to become your Guardian" The turtle giggled again.

"Fine…" Zane quietly replied, feeling excitement escape the mysterious female turtle.

"That's great!~ Now allow me to heal her and create a better path for your broken soul".
