The boars that drank from the lake raised their heads and the boars that laid under the sun opened their eyes. They all looked at the fast-approaching Xiao Feng.
“Surround him!” the boar that was larger than any other boar suddenly shouted out in a middle-aged man’s voice and Xiao Feng stopped in his tracks from surprise as this was the first time he heard a boar speak or any beast for that matter.
The boars quickly surrounded Xiao Feng.
Xiao Feng turned his head first to the left and then to the right, looking over the boars that surrounded him. Then, he looked over to the large boar with the voice of a middle-aged man that stood in front of him. “What’s your name?” he said.
“My name is Boris!” the large boar with a middle-aged man’s voice shouted out. “And what’s yours, human?
“Zail was the first human that I killed. And you – Boris, will be the first magical beast that I will kill!” Xiao Feng thought and shouted out, “My name is Xiao Feng.” He ran towards Boris the boar.
“Charge!” Boris shouted out and ran towards Xiao Feng.
“Charge!” the other boars shouted out one after another and ran towards Xiao Feng.
Xiao Feng and Boris ran up to one another. The former punched with his right hand while the latter headbutted with his head. Their attacks connected and all the boars stopped in their tracks. But not because Xiao Feng was killed. But because Boris was. His body turned into dust and in its place, only a small black orb remained.
“Everyone run!” one of the boars shouted out and all the boars ran in different directions.
From the ground, Xiao Feng picked up the small black orb examined it. It was small, black and pointy. “This must be the core of a magical beast,” he thought and put it into his robe. Then, he turned his head first to the left and then to the right, looking around. However, he didn’t see any boars and so he proceeded forward ahead.

Xiao Feng spent the next two and a half hours searching for magical beasts and killing them. He killed one-hundred-ninety-nine magical beasts and now had two-hundred magical beast cores.
“I wonder how many magical beast cores Yuan Hao and Yuan Meiying have gathered,” Xiao Feng thought and shortly after shook his head. “It doesn’t matter how many magical beast cores they have gathered and will gather in this last half an hour, I will gather more than they do.”
Just as Xiao Feng’s thought concluded, a boar appeared in the distance, then Yuan Meiying and then the boar turned into dust. “Yuan Meiying,” he shouted out. She looked at him and smiled. They walked up to one another.
“Hey,” Xiao Feng said.
“Hey,” Yuan Meiying said. “Xiao Feng, how many magical beast cores have you gathered?”
“You will find out how many magical beast cores I have gathered in half an hour when our game comes to an end,” Xiao Feng said. “But what about you? How many magical beast cores have you gathered? And how many do you think your brother has gathered?”
“I will tell you,” Yuan Meiying said. “But only if you become my fiancé.”
“Become your what?” Xiao Feng said confused.
“Fiancé,” Yuan Meiying said. “As in my future husband.”
Xiao Feng looked at Yuan Meiying’s chest. Then, he looked into her beautiful big dark violet eyes and smiled. “Not happening.”
Yuan Meiying eyes widened and mouth opened from shock. “Wh—why not?!” she couldn’t help but shout out.
“Because your breasts are too small,” Xiao Feng explained.
Yuan Meiying’s face turned red. “M—my bre—breasts?”
Xiao Feng nodded his head in agreement. “That’s right. I don’t like small breasts. I like big breasts.”

“They will grow!” Yuan Meiying shouted out.
Xiao Feng looked at Yuan Meiying’s breasts once more and stared at them for a few minutes before once again looking into her beautiful big dark violet eyes. “Are your mother’s breasts big?”
“Y—yes,” Yuan Meiying said.
“Why did you hesitate?” Xiao Feng said.
“I didn’t!” Yuan Meiying shouted out. “My mother’s breasts are big! They are not just big, they are massive!”
Xiao Feng widely smiled. “Okay then. In that case, let’s get married.”
Yuan Meiying sighed out with relief and smiled. “Thank you. From this moment on, you are my fiancé and I am your fiancée.”
“Mhm,” Xiao Feng said.
“I will now tell you how many magical beast cores I have gathered,” Yuan Meiying said. “I have gathered slightly over seven-hundred magical beast cores. As for my brother, he should have gathered around seven-hundred magical beast cores as well.”
Xiao Feng frowned. “Seven-hundred? I am five-hundred short,” he thought.
“Judging from the expression on your face, I can tell that you haven’t gathered seven-hundred magical beast cores,” Yuan Meiying said. “If you want, I can give you all the magical beast cores that I have gathered.”
“No,” Xiao Feng said. “If I am going to win, I am going to win by my own merit.”
“Okay,” Yuan Meiying said. “I will see you in half an hour.”
“Yeah,” Xiao Feng said. “See you later.”
Xiao Feng and Yuan Meiying ran in different directions.
But not even three seconds later, Xiao Feng suddenly stopped as he saw a tall thick man with brown fur covering his entire body, long wolf’s tail, a wolf’s head and orange eyes. “I finally found you, Xiao Feng! Your Qi is so pathetically weak that it took me a while!”
Hearing the word – weak, Xiao Feng’s irises turned white while his pupils changed from the round human pupils to the thin distorted diamond dragon pupils. Then, a hundredth of the second later, both he and the werewolf fell down to the ground. He lost consciousness while the werewolf died.
…
“—ng!”
Xiao Feng heard a voice and felt someone shaking him.
“Xiao Feng!”
Xiao Feng heard the same voice again but this time he recognised it, it was Yuan Meiying’s voice. He opened his eyes and saw Yuan Meiying shaking him while crying. She smiled, closed her eyes, tightly hugged him and whispered into his ear, “I was so worried. I was so worried.”
A warm feeling enveloped Xiao Feng’s heart and he couldn’t help but widely smile. “It’s okay. I am okay,” he whispered into Yuan Meiying’s ear and tightly hugged her. Their surroundings suddenly changed and they were now in the centre of the peerless sect’s teleport formation.”
“Why are you two hugging!” Yuan Hao’s shouting voice sounded.

Path of Righteousness

Dig to the bottom and confirm, what you really want... ...For you cannot escape suffering and death. You only have a little time. Use it wisely. Uru, a young boy with no talent for magic or fighting, sets out on a quest to become an avatar of order, the physical embodiment of righteousness, in a distant future, where control of origin energy allows people to defy physics and manipulate causality. Mocked by fate and broken by impossible dreams, all that's left is to stand in defiance to cruel existence. Because there is a Truth out there, somewhere. Singular, transcendent, eternal. What would you sacrifice for it? *** This is a fantastic sci-fi epic. It's going to blend both western and eastern traditional fantasy tropes – like might & magic and cultivation – with rational sci-fi grounded fully in reality, to produce a purely fictional fairy tale. I'd like to deliver something light-hearted and yet wholly serious. An uplifting adventure exploring the unfathomable reaches of humanity, free of indecency, with a healthy dose of humorous banter, legendary beings, and most importantly – lots of exciting, firework-filled mayhem! I've tried reading many web novels, but there's a fundamental problem with them – the eastern ones are annoyingly repetitive, superficial and morally destitute, while western ones are often dark, convoluted and profane. There's only so much one can do to filter out the bad and try to fill in the gaps with their own imagination. It's one thing to eat tasty fast food, but if it's moldy and filled with toxins, then it's not only poisonous, but also disgusting. The appreciation of beauty and higher values is disappearing at an alarming rate. Although there are throngs of talented people out there, none of them are creating what I want to witness – an inspiring battle against impossible odds, ending in absolute victory. A triumph of the spirit so overwhelming, it crushes the spectator into his seat and takes his breath away. I'm looking for a real paragon, so now I'd like to try conceiving one. *** The MC's name comes from Tolkien's Elven dictionary in Silmarillion, 'Uru' meaning 'Fire', and 'Dagnir an Uruloki' meaning 'Slayer of Dragons'. *** Note: I'm neither a native speaker, nor an aficionado of literature – I've never written anything before, and despite proficient English my literary prowess is abysmal. It therefore takes me a painful amount of effort to polish the chapters and bring them up to par. Last year I wrote and posted some on FictionPress, but I stopped since it wasn't going anywhere. The appalling amount of filth and mediocrity being peddled in all the media nowadays – a result of no conspiracy to manipulate the masses, but plain supply and demand – is no longer just the triumph of form over substance, but most worryingly corruption of the latter. Who wants to read about ideals anymore? And yet, masses flock together to gobble up perversion and depravity. That being said, I can't rule out pitiful exposure as the culprit to my failure, so I am now once again trying to increase it here, possibly for the last time. If there are still human beings present, hungry or in need of a detox after eating too much garbage, make yourselves heard, so I can see a reason to continue the story. Otherwise it's pointless – I'm not going to make fodder for the masses, and I'm most certainly not going to throw pearls before swine. I'll simply stop writing altogether.
