《Worlds: The Beginning!》Chapter 17: Becoming a cultivator!

After leaving Xiao Feng in the outer disciple peak, Bai Su made her way to the divine peak and the building standing in its centre. She knocked on its massive doors.
“Enter,” a middle-aged man’s voice sounded from the building and its doors opened inwardly.
Bai Su slowly walked inside. She saw five of the nine elders of the divine peak: Bai Qin, Xi Ren, Zan Yi, Zan Hua and Ni Yun sitting on the white thrones surrounding the round table. She covered her right fist with the palm of her left hand and bowed her head. “Disciple Bai Su greets elder Bai Qin, elder Xi Ren, elder Zan Yi, elder Zan Hua, elder Ni Yun.”
“Why are you here, core disciple Bai Su?” Ni Yun said as he looked at Bai Su.
“I have come to report that a body strengthening technique of an A-rank was destroyed,” Bai Su said. “Outer disciple Xiao Feng destroyed the divine black dragon body strengthening technique or rather the divine black dragon emperor body strengthening technique. When I asked as to why he did so, he said that no one is allowed to practice it but the possessors of the divine black dragon emperor bloodline.”
…
“The world,” Xiao Feng thought. “To cultivate using the cultivation technique, the world, I have to first sense the strands of the world and the divine Qi. Then, I have to absorb one strand of each into my body and move them through my meridians into my dantian. Once they both reach my dantian, I have to split the strand of the world Qi into the five elements: fire, earth, metal, wood and water. And the strand of the divine Qi into the six elements: life, death, light, shadow, order and disorder. When that is done, I have to split the six divine Qi elements into five equal parts and fuse each of the five parts with each of the world Qi elements. By doing so, I will create the divine fire element, the divine earth element, the divine metal element, the divine wood element and the divine water element. Then, I have to fuse those five elements to create a strand of the divine world Qi. And finally, I have to absorb that strand of the divine world Qi into my dantian. Alright, let’s do this! First, I have to sense the strands of the world and the divine Qi. And to do that, I need to clear my mind.”

Xiao Feng took in a slow deep breath through his nose, held it in for a few seconds and slowly breathed out of his mouth. He took in a slow deep breath through his nose, held it in for a few seconds and slowly breathed out of his mouth.
Xiao Feng continued taking in deep breaths through his nose, holding them in for a few seconds and slowly breathing them out of his mouth until he sensed them, the strands of the world and the divine Qi. He focused on them and absorbed one of each into his body. Then, he moved them through his meridians into his dantian. And when they reached his dantian, he split the strand of the world Qi into the five elements: fire, earth, metal, wood and water. And the strand of the divine Qi into the six elements: life, death, light, shadow, order and disorder. He split the six elements of the divine Qi into five equal parts and fused each of the five parts with each of the world Qi elements. Then, he fused the divine fire element, the divine earth element, the divine metal element, the divine wood element and the divine water element into one and absorbed it into his dantian. The moment it was absorbed into his dantian, an explosion rang out from his body and he reached rank one of the body refinement realm. But then, not even a quarter of a second later, he reached rank two of the body refinement realm, rank three, rank four, rank five and finally rank six.
Xiao Feng opened his eyes and widely smiled. “I have finally become a cultivator,” as he said, a body strengthening technique of an SSS-rank by the name of the body strengthening of a tyrannical emperor appeared in his head. He blinked his eyes and thought, “I now have two SSS-rank body strengthening techniques, the divine black dragon emperor body strengthening technique and the body strengthening of a tyrannical emperor. But which one do I train my body with? Or can I train my body with both of them? I will train my body with both of them. But not now. Bai Su said that if I wanted to fight, I should go to the arena.” He jumped off his bed and walked out of his house. But as he did, he heard a loud shout, “Hurry up!”

Looking towards it, Xiao Feng saw a boy of around his age with a round face, short black hair, big dark violet eyes and wearing a robe with a terrifying dragon embroidered on its left side, a terrifying tiger on its right side and a full moon on its centre.
“I am coming, brother!” Xiao Feng heard another shout and he looked towards it. He saw a beautiful girl of around his age with an oval face, long black hair, big dark violet eyes and wearing a robe with a terrifying dragon embroidered on its left side, a terrifying tiger on its right side and a full moon on its centre.
“Their robes are similar to the robes of the Xiao family,” Xiao Feng thought. He looked away from the girl and made his way to the peak which connected all the peaks, the fourth peak. And when he arrived on it, he made his way to the arena.

Hazelsong: A LitRPG Novel
Release Schedule: I will be moving to a set release schedule as of 1/1/2022. A new chapter will be released every Saturday at Noon EST. If I have time that week for a second chapter, I will leave a note on the Saturday chapter and post the second chapter on Sunday at Noon EST. An up to date character sheet for the MC Erik will also be posted on Sundays at 12:15 PM. If life happens and I am for some reason unable to write that week, I will post a blank chapter giving you an update on where I am with my writing. Saturday Noon EST: First weekly chapter Sunday Noon EST: Second weekly chapter (if I have the time) Sunday 12:15 EST: Updated character sheet Synopsis: Years after surviving a deadly accident, Erik struggles to come to terms with his painful disability. When offered the chance to playtest the world's first full immersion VRMMO, he wants nothing more than to retreat back into his secluded life, until he learns what Hazelsong really offers. An escape from the pain. Hazelsong is a world of magic and adventure, a place where friendships are formed, loot is won, and glory and fame are there for the taking. While the threats feel real and the stakes are always high, there is only one thing Erik is really in danger of. Forgetting which world is actually real. Story Themes: Hazelsong is a LitRPG novel that not only explores the fictional world of a realistic online fantasy realm but the life of a man suffering in silence from chronic pain and PTSD due to a significant physical injury and disability. Mental health is an important subject and we all know at least one person in our lives who has or is dealing with some form of mental illness. I plan on putting my best effort forward to represent these illnesses in a fair and accurate manner. Not as a cheap plot device to help make the protagonist more unique, but to help paint an accurate picture for those of us who have been lucky enough to not have to suffer in silence. About the Author: I am Ash Durra, general video game nerd and a connoisseur of fantasy and sci-fi of all shapes and sizes. Needless to say, I am not a professional author (B.S. and M.S. in Education, 8 years teaching). After really getting into LitRPG novels over the past several years, I found my way to Royal Road, which has inspired me to use my spare time to begin writing a story of my own creation. As this is a hobby, I am not writing and posting chapters on any kind of specific schedule at the moment, though my goal is to post on average 1-2 chapters a week. I am incredibly excited to share this story with others as I write it, and I look forward to any constructive feedback about how I can improve in my writing.

A young man who have hit his all time low. After his parents got divorced and his mother died suddenly. His dad didn’t want anything to do with him anymore and started his ‘new’ family. Which made him leave Collin to rot on the streets. Trying to make the best out of it he managed to meet two friends for life who would support him through thick and thin. While he was staying over at the homeless shelter. Together they entered one of those mysterious portals when the world changed. In here Collin found out that he was given the epic grade class. Simply called Robomechanic. Which allows him to build loyal companions who would fight his fights and even wars for him. This marked the start of their climb from the rock bottom of the old world, to the top of the ladder of this brand new world. However, of course they aren’t the only ones who wish to make a name of themselves within this new world. With most of them having no regards for others. How far will the trio actually come, with corporations and government rejects trying to control the ones standing below them. Note:This was my first novel which I now expanded onto with chapters. It’s meaning is mainly for me to practice my writing by writing an actual novel.
