《Worlds: The Beginning!》Chapter 11: Meeting Bai Qin face to face!

“Where are we going?” Xiao Feng said.
“We are going to the inner layer of Eden, senior brother Xiao Feng,” Bai Su said.
“So, Bai Qin isn’t in the peerless sect but the inner layer,” Xiao Feng thought.
Bai Su led Xiao Feng out of the peerless sect’s admission building and out Eden’s middle layer. She led him into Eden’s inner layer.
Looking around, Xiao Feng didn’t see anyone besides the two of them and so he said, “Where is everyone?”
“Do you know about Eden’s layers, senior brother Xiao Feng?” Bai Su said.
“Yes,” Xiao Feng said. “Eden is split into five layers. The slum layer in which families that don’t have cultivators and individuals who are not cultivators live. The outer layer in which the agora is. The middle layer in which families that have cultivators and individuals that are cultivators live. The inner layer in which the Xi family, the Bai family, the Zan family and the Ni family live. And the castle layer in which the royal family live.”
Bai Su nodded her head. “That’s right, senior brother Xiao Feng. In the inner layer of Eden, only four families live. The Xi family, the Bai family, the Zan family and the Ni family. But you won’t find the members of those four families wandering the streets of the inner layer. You will only find them in the peerless sect, or in their own estates which are located on the north side, the south side, the east side and the west side of the inner layer.”
“I see,” Xiao Feng said as he nodded his head in understanding.
…
Bai Su stopped in front of a small building and Xiao Feng did the same. He tilted his head in confusion as he looked at it. “This is the Bai family’s mansion?” he said.

Bai Su frowned. “Please don’t insult the Bai family, senior brother Xiao Feng. Now, let’s go inside.”
Xiao Feng followed Bai Su into the small building and he saw an empty room which’s floor was covered in various drawings.
“Let’s go to the centre of the teleport formation, senior brother Xiao Feng.”
“Teleport formation?” Xiao Feng said confused.
“A formation is something that the formation master creates. The teleport formation is a formation that teleports people between locations,” Bai Su said. “This teleport formation teleports people to the peerless sect.”
“I see,” Xiao Feng said. He and Bai Su walked into the centre of the teleport formation.
“Formation activate!” Bai Su said in a loud voice and the drawings on the floor lit up. Then, a short moment passed and they both disappeared from the teleport formation, the small room, the inner layer and Eden. They appeared on an island above the clouds.
Xiao Feng looked around. He saw a clear blue sky, a bright yellow sun, short green grass and a bridge.
“Let’s go, senior brother Xiao Feng,” Bai Su said. “The bridge in front of us will take us to the fourth peak. From it, we will take a bridge which will take us to the ninth peak. On the ninth peak, we will find my grandfather.”
Xiao Feng nodded his head in understanding. “Let’s go,” he said and followed Bai Su first to the ninth peak and second to a massive building standing on its centre. She knocked on its massive door as she said, “I bring the newest disciple.”
“Enter,” Bai Qin’s voice sounded from the building and its massive doors opened inwardly.
“Let’s go inside, senior brother Xiao Feng,” Bai Su said.
Xiao Feng nodded his head in agreement and walked into the building with Bai Su. Once inside, he saw an enormous room with nine small white doors and one massive black door, and a massive round table in its centre which took half of the entire room’s space. Around the massive round table stood nine small white thrones and one massive black throne. On one of the small white thrones sat Bai Qin. He looked at the two of them.

Bai Su covered her right fist with the palm of her left hand and bowed her head. “Disciple Bai Su greets elder Bai Qin.”
Bai Qin looked at Xiao Feng. “What about you?”
Xiao Feng covered his right fist with the palm of his left hand and bowed his head. “Xiao Feng greets elder Bai Qin.”
Bai Qin nodded his head in approval. “Good,” he said. “Bring out the green jade slip.”
Xiao Feng pulled out the green jade slip from his robe and threw it onto the round table.
Bai Qin took the green jade slip and closed his eyes. His name disappeared from it and Xiao Feng’s name with words – outer sect disciple, appeared on it. He opened his eyes and threw it to Xiao Feng. “Catch.”
Xiao Feng caught the green jade slip in mid-air and looked at it.
“Welcome to the peerless sect, Xiao Feng,” Bai Qin said. “That green jade slip shows that you are the member of the peerless sect. Don’t lose it.” He looked at Bai Su. “Little Su, what were Xiao Feng’s results on the first and second trials?”
Bai Su widely smiled. “When senior brother Xiao Feng took the first trial, the martial talent testing stone shattered.”
“Oh?” Bai Qin said with surprise in his voice. “What about his second trial?”
Bai Su widened her smile. “Senior brother Xiao Feng has a bloodline. And not just one bloodline, but two bloodlines! He is the same as the ninth prince and the fifth princess!”
Bai Qin’s eyes widened and mouth opened from shock. “What did you just say?!” he couldn’t help but shout out.

Whether there is any truth to this ancient tale is unknown, but it is a certainty that in each generation perhaps a handful of those children will, in fact, obtain a legendary class. Ætla Verǫld
AV Online was just a flash in the pan—a harsh, experimental land which lost most of its players in mere weeks. Only the dedicated few remained, carving out their destinies in corners of the vast abandoned world. Lily Quinn wasn't one of them. With a career worth millions in the esports world, she didn't have time for a game like Avo—but when an exclusive beta test for the new version showed up on her doorstep, she couldn't say no… as much as she wanted to. Literally hooked into the simulation, Lily reluctantly entered a world beyond anything she'd ever dreamed of. Accompanied by seven other beta testers desperate to save their beloved game, Lily dives into a vibrant, beautiful world, where mystery and adventure waits around every corner. Despite her reservations, Lily finds a joyful escape in Avo, shattering her cold, hollow reality. It was just a game though… until the group discovered they couldn't log out. Trapped in a game with no rules, and surrounded by cutthroat players eager to kill for a quick windfall, Lily and her ragged band have no choice but to fight their way out, or die in a game that has turned all too real. Hi there! I'm setting off on yet another adventure, come join me :3 Unusually for me, there's only one perspective this time, and it's quite a bit more action-oriented than I usually write. Don't worry, though: everything's still as character-driven as always, and I never get tired of writing dialogue. Just to acknowledge it up front: this story is heavily inspired by EVE Online and the many stories generated by that world. However, since this is a fantasy setting, not sci-fi, don't expect any real parallels. Chapter publish rate for this one will be whenever I write them, as with Epilogue. I don't expect to move as fast here though, since it's not for NaNo. The plan is chapters somewhere in the 4k-5k range, and hopefully frequently. The Last Science takes priority as always though. Special thanks to Reaver and Ace Arriande for pushing me to get this going, and to all my fellow writers whom I've stolen from been inspired by. You're all wonderful people and I love you Quick reminder: Patrons get to read ahead of what's published! Also, try my other works: The Last Science — A Tale of Modern Magic Epilogue — A Post-Fantasy Psychodrama What are you still doing on the synopsis? Get to reading!
