“The martial talent testing stone shattered and the bloodline testing stone showed two bloodlines. He is the same as the ninth prince and his twin sister, the fifth princess,” Bai Su mumbled and her heartbeat hastened. She closed her eyes. Then, she took in a slow deep breath through her nose, held it in for a few seconds as she attempted to calm herself down and slowly breathed out of her mouth before opening her eyes and looking at Xiao Feng. She covered her right fist with the palm of her left hand and bowed her head. “Congratulations on passing the first two trials of the peerless sect, senior brother Xiao Feng.”
Qin Se looked at Bai Su. “Of course he did. He is the young master and the future master of the Xiao family.” He once again looked smug.
Xiao Feng looked at Bai Su. “For having one bloodline, I get ten Qi elixirs that boost Qi absorption rate by 5%, a skill or a technique from the core disciple library or a weapon crafted by the head elder of the blacksmith’s peak. What do I get for having two bloodlines?”
Bai Su shook her head. “I am sorry to say this, senior brother Xiao Feng. But you get nothing for having two bloodlines.”
“I see,” Xiao Feng said. “I want to take the third trial.”
“I understand, senior brother Xiao Feng,” Bai Su said. “The third and the fourth trials will be given to you by one of the nine elders of the ninth peak.” She pulled out a green jade slip from behind the counter and placed it onto it. It was glossy and there was nothing written on it. “Senior brother Xiao Feng, drop some of your blood onto this green jade slip and your soul will enter it. You will find yourself on a small island above the clouds and you will see a total of nine bridges. Walk down one of those nine bridges and you will arrive on an island. On this island, you will find an elder who will give you your third and fourth trials. Good luck, senior brother Xiao Feng.”

Qin Se looked at Xiao Feng. “I know you can do it, young master,” he said with a worried expression on his face.
Xiao Feng nodded his head. He put his left thumb into his mouth and bit into it. When he tasted blood, he pulled his left thumb out of his mouth and lowered it to the green jade slip. His surroundings changed and he was now standing on the short grass of an island which was above the clouds. He looked around and saw nine bridges. “Which bridge do I take?” he thought and shook his head. “Doesn’t matter.” He walked down the bridge that he saw first.
Stepping off the bridge, Xiao Feng saw an old man standing with his eyes closed and his hands behind his back. The old man had long white hair, dark-blue eyes and he wore a white robe with a massive tortoise embroidered on it. Xiao Feng walked up to him.
The old man opened his eyes and looked at Xiao Feng. “First, let me congratulate you on passing the first two trials of the peerless sect. Now then. I am Bai Qin and I am one of the nine elders of the ninth peak. I will be giving you your third trial and your fourth trial. Are you ready?”
“I am ready,” Xiao Feng said.
Bai Qin sighed out and shook his head. “Your third trial will be as follows. You will answer the questions that I will ask. That is all.”
Xiao Feng nodded his head in agreement. “Alright.”
“The first question,” Bai Qin said. “What is your name?”
“My name is Xiao Feng.”
“What is your mother’s name.”
“I have two mothers,” Xiao Feng said. “One, who gave birth to me and abandoned me. I don’t know her name. And the other one, who became my mother after I was taken into the Xiao family by Qin Se. Her name is Xi Huiliang.”

Bai Qin nodded his head. “I see and what about your father? What’s his name? Or their names?”
“His name is Xiao Fang,” Xiao Feng said. “He abandoned me just like my birth mother and then he died.”
“Is Xi Huiliang alive?”
“Yes.”
“Do you have any brothers or sisters?”
“A brother, Xiao Zhao who is dead and a sister, Xiao Yuuma.”
“Is your sister alive?”
“Yes.”
“The last question,” Bai Qin said. “You, Xi Huiliong, Xiao Yuuma and Qin Se get poisoned. You have the antidote but you can only give it to one person. Who do you leave to die and who do you save?”
Xiao Feng frowned. “Myself.”
“You have passed the third trial, Xiao Feng,” Bai Qin said. “And your fourth trial begins now.”
Xi Huiliang, Qin Se and Xiao Yuuma appeared out of thin air around Xiao Feng. They collapsed to the ground and he suddenly felt really weak and fell to his knees. A pill appeared on the grass before him.
“The pill in front of you is the antidote to the poison,” Bai Qin said. “Who do you leave to die and who do you save?”
Xiao Feng grabbed the pill and put it into his own mouth.
“Your answer is in accordance with the answer you gave me for your third trial,” Bai Qin said. “You have passed the fourth trial. Xiao Feng, I will welcome you to the peerless sect when we meet face-to-face.” Just as he said his last word, he smiled and Xiao Feng’s surroundings changed. He was back inside the peerless sect’s admission building.
Bai Qin’s name appeared on the green jade slip.
“Congratulations, senior brother Xiao Feng!” Bai Su said with an excited expression on her face. “You have passed my grandfather’s third and fourth trials which are the hardest trials of all the trials. Well according to him anyway.” She took the greed jade slip from the counter and extended it towards Xiao Feng. “Once you give this green jade slip to my grandfather, you will be an outer sect disciple of the peerless sect.”
“You did it, young master!” Qin Se shouted out and burst out into loud laughter.
Xiao Feng took the green jade slip from Bai Su’s hand and looked at Qin Se. “Yeah,” he said and looked at Bai Su. “Where can I find your grandfather?”
“I will take you to him,” Bai Su said.
“Young master Xiao Feng,” Qin Se said and Xiao Feng looked at him.
Qin Se covered his right fist with the palm of his left hand and bowed his head. “Become the strongest in the peerless sect, young master. And then return and make the Xiao family, the strongest family of all.”
Xiao Feng widely smiled. “I will become the strongest.”
Bai Su walked out from behind the counter. “Let’s go, senior brother Xiao Feng.”

The Mystifying Diviner
Content warning, there is cursing in the story and there will be some pretty heavy sexual innuendos in it also. I don’t really plan to write gore, but there will be fight scenes. Fair warning to readers, it is a slow start. But hopefully it is enjoyable for you to read. Follow the story of an old chef who was lucky to be selected to become a system host. Well maybe not so lucky, because gaining the system killed him. He will be given a system that might not be the best match for him. While also having to deal with a snarky system monitor who might not be that helpful most of the time. He will also use his new found powers to enjoy life in a new younger body. What you can expect from this story is bad writing, poor grammar, and slow pacing maybe. Food, cooking, comedy, slice of life, fighting, exploring, tournaments, scamming and probably face slapping. I mean who doesn’t like a good face slapping? This is my take on a cultivation story, a lot of Eastern stuff will be crammed into with a mix of Western. This story started as a goal for myself to write 60,000 words in a month for NaNoWriMo. I was able to do it even with taking days off and not writing. I plan to keep writing the story, but at a slightly slower pace. I am aiming for 2-3 chapters a week now with about 4-7k words written. This is only posted on RoyalRoad currently, and I have no plans to change that for now. War, Honor and Vengeance
In a world where there is no right or wrong, justice and injustice, good or evil, it is the world where only the strong persists while the weak slaves. A world filled with lies, treachery and betrayal. There is no two way. Only one way. One way to either Hell or Heavens. Some call it Destiny, some call it Providence, others call it The God’s Will. But I call it Fate. My arch-nemesis. Something so invisible, out-of-reach and strong, that no matter how much you fight, there seems no end. But tell me, will you succumb to your fate, as others rise on it. Tell me, will you let your family, your children, your wives be slaughtered and slaved on this so-called Fate. No. War. In a world where lives are nothing more than livestock, either you rise up and rule in passion or go down in flames. Will you stay mum and accept this so-called Fate and be slaughtered by your enemies, or will you rise up. Wealth, fame, fortune, desires are not ever-lasting. Only War is eternal. Vengeance. No. You rise up and exact revenge for all the wrongs done to you. You rise for Vengeance. Honor. Honor… something which runs deep within our blood, but yet forgotten in dust. Something, so intangible, so frail, yet so over-powering. Villains justify it as useless, Lords deem it as unnecessary and Kings mock it as worthless, but yet, it flows ever so deeply within. Deeply… like our thirst of wealth and power. Without this so-called useless, worthless and unnecessary piece of intangible force, we, as Knights are nothing but mere foot soldiers. So, rise up! Rise Up! RISE UP, my Knights. For War! For Vengeance! For Honor!!!! ………………………………………………………… The release rates are going to be a bit sloppy with my college entrance exams upcoming, so please don’t be angry, my avid readers. I also want to inform you that my college entrance exams are coming up and so, I wont be making regular updates like Im doing now and the chapters will generally be around 1.5-1.7k. The promised release date will be every Tuesday, generally at 7:00pm (IndianST) and there will be a guarantee of 7 chapters per week. Not one bit less but if you want more, well ...well...
